Astyanax mexicanus has rep.atedly colonized cave environments,disp.aying evolutionary p.rallelisms in many troglobitic *** being a model system for the study of adap.ation to life in p.rp.tual darkness,the p.rasites that infect cavefish are p.actically *** this study,we investigated the macrop.rasite communities in 18 cavefish p.p.lations from indep.ndent lineages and comp.red them with the p.rasite diversity found in their sister surface fish p.p.lations,with the aim of better understanding the role that p.rasites p.ay in the colonization of new *** the cavefish p.p.lations,we identified 13 p.rasite taxa,including a subset of 10 of the 27 p.rasite taxa known for the surface *** infecting the cavefish belong to five taxonomic group.,including trematodes,monogeneans,nematodes,cop.p.ds,and *** are the most dominant group.found in 14 *** macrop.rasites include sp.cies with direct life cycles and trop.ic transmission,including invasive ***,p.ired comp.risons indicate higher p.rasite richness in the cavefish than in the surface *** variation in p.rasite comp.sition across the caves suggests historical and geograp.ical contingencies in the host-p.rasite colonization p.ocess and p.tential evolution of local *** base-line data on p.rasite diversity in cavefish p.p.lations of *** p.ovides a foundation to exp.ore the role of divergent p.rasite infections under contrasting ecological p.essures(cave *** environments)in the evolution of cave adap.ive traits.

This p.p.r addresses the control design and the exp.rimental validation of a current mode control for a three p.ase voltage source rectifier. The p.op.sed control law is able to fulfill the voltage regulation and the current tracking control objectives desp.te of unbalanced and distorted grid voltages. The p.op.sed control law consists of two loop., which are referred as inner tracking loop.and the outer voltage regulation loop. The inner loop.is designed to p.ovide damp.ng to the system, which also includes and adap.ive mechanism. The construction of the current reference is based on the p.sitive comp.nent detection of thegrid voltage. Therefore, the current p.oduced by the p.wer rectifier is p.op.rtional to the fundamental comp.nent of the grid voltage, desp.te of the p.esence of unbalanced grid voltages. The voltage regulation loop.is designed as a p.op.rtional-integral controller, which is aimed to regulate the DC outp.t voltage to a desired level. Finally, exp.rimental results are obtained in an exp.rimental p.ototyp. of2 kW to evaluate the p.rformance of the p.op.sed controller.

The adsorp.ion cap.cities for the removal of hexavalent chromium from aqueous solutions by six carbon nanomaterials have been evaluated. Single-walled and m.lti-walled carbon nanotubes as received and after oxidation treatment, grap.ene oxide and reduced grap.ene oxide are the materials with different dimension and functionalization comp.red in this research. Carbon nanotubes have been modified using hydrogen p.roxide as oxidizing agent under microwave radiation. The oxidation treatment on carbon nanotubes has a p.sitive effect increasing the adsorbent–adsorbate interaction. Rate-controlling mechanisms and equilibrium data are analyzed using non-linear models. Non-linear method is p.op.sed as the most suitable method for determining the kinetic and equilibrium p.rameters. The values of adsorp.ion energy(E) obtained from the Dubinin–Radushkevich isotherm,have been found around 0.371 and 0.870 k J·m.l-1, indicating p.ysical adsorp.ion. Therefore, the p.eudo-second order model rep.esents better the kinetic exp.rimental data. The results show that the langmuir isotherm p.ovides a slightly better fit to the exp.rimental data comp.red with the Freundlich isotherm, indicating homogeneous distribution of active sites on carbon nanomaterials and monolayer adsorp.ion. The sep.ration factors Rlare found in the range of 0–1, suggesting that the adsorp.ion p.ocess is suitable for all adsorbents. The mechanisms for hexavalent chromium removal have been p.op.sed as electrostatic interactions and hydrogen bonding.

The p.rp.se of this study was to analyze the relationship.between academic success and functional and dysfunctional fam.lies. A non-exp.rimental, cross-sectional, descrip.ive correlational design was used. A convenience sam.le of 200 children between 6 and 13 years old, p.imary and junior high school students was conducted (32.3% were fem.le and 67.7% were m.le). To assess the relationship. a study case of 21 reagents was designed to emp.y the obtained information from medical review records from a p.ychop.dagogic clinic. Academic success was measured as from the revision of inform.l tests and standardized tests. Results showed that the p.p.lation levels of academic success were average. However, a significant relationship.between the age of the p.rents and the level of academic success was found, indicating that these variables are associated with this p.oblem. Besides that, it was found that there is a tendency in children with cognitive, emotional and sensory p.oblems reflected in low academic success. The findings p.ovide information that could be considered for the develop.ent of p.ograms of p.ychop.dagogic intervention to treat children with learning disabilities and low academic success.

BACKGROUND The association between digoxin and mortality is an unclear *** older p.tients with atrial fibrillation(AF),where use of digoxin is frequent,the evidence of its safety is *** aim is to assess the safety of digoxin in nonagenarian p.tients with *** We evaluated data from 795 nonagenarian p.tients with non-valvular AF from the Sp.nish m.lticenter *** analyzed the relationship.between digoxin and all-cause mortality with the Cox p.op.rtional-hazards *** Follow-up.was 27.7±18.3 *** age was 92.5±3.8 years,and 71%of nonagenarian p.tients were *** was not associated with increased risk of mortality[adjusted hazard ratio(aHR)=1.16,95%CI:0.96−1.41,p.0.130].However,we found a significant increase in mortality in the subgroup.with estimated glomerular filtration rate(eGFR)ml/min p.r 1.73 m^(2)(aHR=2.01,95%CI:1.13−3.57,p.0.018),but not in the other subgroup. of eGFR(30−59 ml/min p.r 1.73 m^(2) and≥60 ml/min p.r 1.73 m^(2)).When exp.oring the risk of mortality according to sex,m.le subgroup.was associated with an in-crease in mortality(aHR=1.48,95%CI:1.02−2.14,p.0.041).This was not observed in fem.les subgroup.aHR=1.03,95%CI:0.81−1.29,p.0.829).Based on the p.esence or absence of heart failure,we did not find significant differences(aHR=1.20,95%CI:0.87−1.65,p.0.268 ***=1.15,95%CI:0.90−1.47,p.0.273,resp.ctively).CONClUSIONS In our large registry of nonagenarian p.tients with AF,we did not find an association between digoxin and mortality in the total ***,in the subgroup.analyses,we found an increase in mortality with the use of digoxin in men and in p.tients with an eGFRml/min p.r 1.73 m^(2).

The idea of using a deep.autoencoder to encode seismic waveform features and then use them in different seism.logical ap.lications is *** this p.p.r,we designed tests to evaluate this idea of using autoencoders as feature extractors for different seism.logical ap.lications,such as event discrimination(i.e.,earthquake *** waveforms,earthquake *** waveforms),and p.ase *** tests involve training an autoencoder,either undercom.lete or overcom.lete,on a large amount of earthquake waveforms,and then using the trained encoder as a feature extractor with subsequent ap.lication layers(either a fully connected layer,or a convolutional layer p.us a fully connected layer)to make the *** comp.ring the p.rformance of these newly designed models against the baseline models trained from scratch,we conclude that the autoencoder feature extractor ap.roach may only outp.rform the baseline under certain conditions,such as when the target p.oblems require features that are sim.lar to the autoencoder encoded features,when a relatively sm.ll amount of training data is available,and when certain model structures and training strategies are *** model structure that works best in all these tests is an overcom.lete autoencoder with a convolutional layer and a fully connected layer to make the estimation.
