Spinal cord injury results in the loss of sensory,motor,and autonomic functions,which almost always produces permanent physical ***,in the search for more effective treatments than those already applied for years,which are not entirely efficient,researches have been able to demonstrate the potential of biological strategies using biomaterials to tissue manufacturing through bioengineering and stem cell therapy as a neuroregenerative approach,seeking to promote neuronal recovery after spinal cord *** of these strategies has been developed and meticulously evaluated in several animal models with the aim of analyzing the potential of interventions for neuronal repair and,consequently,boosting functional *** the majority of experimental research has been conducted in rodents,there is increasing recognition of the importance,and need,of evaluating the safety and efficacy of these interventions in non-human primates before moving to clinical trials involving therapies potentially promising in *** article is a literature review from databases(pubMed,Science Direct,Elsevier,Scielo,Redalyc,Cochrane,and nCBI)from 10 years ago to date,using keywords(spinal cord injury,cell therapy,non-human primates,humans,and bioengineering in spinal cord injury).From 110 retrieved articles,after two selection rounds based on inclusion and exclusion criteria,21 articles were ***,this review arises from the need to recognize the experimental therapeutic advances applied in non-human primates and even humans,aimed at deepening these strategies and identifying the advantages and influence of the results on extrapolation for clinical applicability in humans.

Introduction: Lumbar fusion as low back pain treatment continues to be a challenge because of the multiple techniques and materials available, most popular techniques include Transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion (TLIF), Lateral lumbar interbody fusion (LLIF) and Anterior lumbar interbody fusion (ALIF). Successful lumbar fusion is associated with better clinical outcomes, and it is enhanced and targeted through the use of bone graft materials as an osteogenic cell binding peptide p-15, bound to an anorganic bone mineral (ABM). This peptide improves bone formation when used in fixation devices in a targeted and limited way to the implant surface by activating osteoblast precursor cells;by the osteogenic, osteoinductive and osteoconductive stimuli. The main objective of this study is to standardize the lumbar fusion process in the 3 techniques and achieve a more efficient and predictable lumbar fusion, evaluating results with radiological and clinical scales. Material and Methods: patients underwent lumbar fusion with the use of p-15 Osteogenic Cell Binding peptide, bound to an anorganic bone mineral (p-15/ABM) bone graft (5 cc) in three different techniques (TLIF, LLIF, ALIF), achieving a total of 100 lumbar levels. Radiological outcomes included fusion rates per Hounsfield Units at computed tomography (CT) scan and Lenke scale. Clinical outcomes were evaluated via the Oswestry Disability Index (ODI), Short Form performance (SpF-36) and Visual analog Scale (VAS and VASs) for pain and satisfaction. Results: 67 patients completed the 12 months follow-up, showing no differences in fusion rates between techniques. (Computed Tomography Hounsfield Units) CTHU reaches more than 200 UH at 3 months follow-up and continues fusion process till 12-month follow-up. Clinical scales showed no disability at ODI, improvement at VAS and VASs scales, absence of health restrictions at SpF-36 score since 6 months follow up. This study provides new insights on the phylogenetic position of the lichenicolous fungal genus Abrothallus based on six molecular markers(nuSSU,nuLSU,mtSSU,RpB1,RpB2 and TEF-α).In a broad-scale analysis,we detected high support for inclusion of the genus within Dothideomycetes.A further analysis provided support for Abrothallus as a member of the subclass pleosporomycetidae as a sister group of Jahnulales,an order of aquatic *** the exclusive characters of this group of apotheciate fungi within the Dothidiomycetes,a new monotypic order Abrothallales is here introduced together with the new family *** a multi-locus analysis(based on the six loci indicated above plus ITS)restricted to 12 putative Abrothallus species,two clearly separated clades were observed:one comprising species growing on lichens of the families parmeliaceae and Ramalinaceae,and the second including species that live on lichens of the order peltigerales and the family Cladoniaceae.
