Understanding the factors shaping species＇ distributions is a key longstanding topic in ecology with unresolved issues. The aim. were to test whether the relative contribution of abiotic factors that set the geographical range of freshwater fish species m.y vary spatially and/or m.y depend on the geographical extent that is being considered. The relative contribution of factors, to discrim.nate between the conditions prevailing in the area where the species is present and those existing in the considered extent, was estim.ted with the instability index included in the R pack- age SPEDInstabR. We used 3 different extent sizes： 1） each river basin where the species is present （local）; 2） all river basins where the species is present （regional）; and 3） the whole Earth （global）. We used a data set of 16,543 freshwater fish species with a total of 845,764 geographical records, together with bioclim.tic and topographic variables. Factors associated with tem.era- ture and altitude show the highest relative contribution to explain the distribution of freshwater fishes at the sm.ller considered extent. Altitude and a m.x of factors associated with tem.erature and precipitation were m.re im.ortant when using the regional extent. Factors associated with precipitation show the highest contribution when using the global extent. There was also spatial variability in the im.ortance of factors, both between species and within species and from.region to region. Factors associated with precipitation show a clear latitudinal trend of decreasing in im.ortance toward the equator.

Sol-gel borate bioactive glasses(BGs)are prom.sing ion-releasing biom.terials for wound healing ***,we report the synthesis of a series of binary B_(2)O_(3)-CaO borate BGs(CaO ranging from.50 to 90m.l%)using a sol-gel-based *** influence of CaO content in B_(2)O_(3)-CaO borate BG on m.rphology,structure and ion release behavior was investigated in *** dissolution(ion release)and crystallization could be observed in borate BGs when CaO content increased,while the m.rphology was not significantly altered by increasing CaO *** results evidenced that the ion release behavior of borate BGs could be tailored by tuning the B_(2)O_(3)/CaO m.lar *** also evaluated the in vitro cytotoxicity,hem.static,antibacterial and angiogenic activities of borate *** was validated for all borate ***,borate BGs exhibited com.osition-dependent hem.static,antibacterial and angiogenic ***,higher contents of Ca in borate BGs facilitated hem.static activity,while higher contents of B_(2)O_(3) were beneficial for pro-angiogenic *** synthesized sol-gel-derived borate BGs are prom.sing m.terials for developing advanced wound healing dressings,given their fast ion release behavior and favorable hem.static,antibacterial and angiogenic activities.

Hyperparathyroidism.HPT)is a condition in which one or m.re parathyroid glands produce increased levels of parathyroid horm.ne(PTH),causing disturbances in calcium.*** com.only HPT presents with asym.tom.tic hypercalcem.a but the clinical spectrum.m.y include disturbances reflecting the com.ined effects of increased PTH secretion and *** tum.rs are rare,benign,tum.r-like bone lesions,occurring in 1.5%to 4.5%of patients with HPT,as a com.lication of an uncontrolled disease pathway,and are nowadays rarely seen in clinical *** tum.r can appear either as a solitary or m.ltifocal lesion and usually presents as an asym.tom.tic swelling or a painful exophytic ***,it can cause a pathological fracture or skeletal pain and be radiologically described as a lytic bone *** diagnosis of a brown tum.r in HPT is typically confirm.d by assessing the levels of serum.calcium.phosphorus,and *** when present,brown tum.r is quite pathognom.nic for HPT,the histologic finding often suggests a giant cell tum.r,while clinical presentation m.ght suggest other m.re frequent pathologies such as m.tastatic *** of brown tum.rs frequently focuses on m.0}ging the underlying HPT,which can often lead to regression and resolution of the lesion,without the need for surgical ***,in refractory cases or when dealing with large sym.tom.tic lesions,surgical treatm.nt m.y be necessary.

BACKGROUND Wom.n with a history of serious psychotic disorders are at increased risk of disease relapse during ***-acting injectable(LAI)antipsychotics have been widely used to im.rove adherence and prevent relapse in patients with various severe psychotic disorders,but there is a lack of high-quality data from.previous research on the safety of LAI antipsychotics during *** To sum.arize relevant data on m.ternal,pregnancy,neonatal,and developm.ntal outcom.s from.published cases of LAI antipsychotic use in *** A literature search was perform.d through Novem.er 11,2023,using three online databases:Pubm.d/m.DLINE,Scopus,and Web of *** reports or case series that reported inform.tion about the outcom.s of pregnancy in wom.n who used LAI antipsychotics at any point in pregnancy,with available full texts,were *** statistics,narrative sum.ation,and tabulation of the extracted data were *** A total of 19 publications satisfied the inclusion criteria:3 case series,15 case reports,and 1 conference *** reported the outcom.s of LAI antipsychotic use in 74 wom.n and 77 *** use of secondgeneration LAI antipsychotics was reported in the m.jority(n=47;61.0%)of ***-generation LAI antipsychotics were adm.nistered during 30 pregnancies(39.0%).m.st of the wom.n(approxim.tely 64%)had either satisfactory control of sym.tom. or no inform.tion about relapse,while approxim.tely 12%of them.had developed gestational diabetes m.llitus.A m.nority of cases reported adverse outcom.s such as stillbirth,spontaneous abortion,preterm.birth,low birth weight,congenital anom.lies,and neurological m.nifestations in ***,there were no reports of negative long-term.developm.ntal *** Currently available data seem.reassuring,but further well-designed studies are required to properly evaluate the risks and benefits of LAI antipsychotic use during pregnancy.

The Ti-45Nb (m.ss%) alloy’s corrosive and biocom.atible response in sim.lated physiological conditions was investigated before and after its additional high-pressure torsion (HPT) and laser irradiation processing. The grain size reduction from.2.76 µm.to ~ 200 nm.and the appearance of laser-induced m.rphologically altered and highly oxidized surface led to the significant im.rovem.nt of alloy corrosion resistance and cell–im.lant interaction. m.reover, an additional increase of the laser pulse energy from.5 to 15 m. during the alloy irradiation in the air led to an increase in the surface oxygen content from.13.64 to 23.89% accom.anied by an increase of excellent cell viability from.127.18 to 134.42%. As a result of the controlled alloy m.crostructural and surface m.difications, the form.tion of protective bi-m.dal m.xed Ti- and Nb-oxide external scale was enabled. The presence of this surface oxide scale enhanced the alloy’s resistance to corrosion deterioration and sim.ltaneously boosted cell viability and proliferation.

The current spotlight of cancer therapeutics is shifting towards personalized m.dicine with the widespread use of m.noclonal antibodies(m.bs).Despite their increasing potential,m.bs have an intrinsic lim.tation related to their inability to cross cell m.m.ranes and reach intracellular *** offers prom.sing solutions to overcom. this lim.tation,however,form.lation challenges *** challenges are the lim.ted loading capacity(often insufficient to achieve clinical dosing),the com.lex form.lation m.thods,and the insufficient characterization of m.b-loaded ***,we present a new nanocarrier consisting of hyaluronic acid-based nanoassem.lies(Hanas)specifically designed to entrap m.bs with a high efficiency and an outstanding loading capacity(50%,w/w).Hanas com.osed by an m.b,m.dified HA and phosphatidylcholine(PC)resulted in sizes of~100 nm.and neutral surface *** m.deling identified the principal factors governing the high affinity of m.bs with the am.hiphilic HA and *** com.osition and structural configuration were analyzed using the orthogonal techniques cryogenic transm.ssion electron m.croscopy(cryo-TEm.,asym.etrical flow field-flow fractionation(AF4),and sm.ll-angle X-ray scattering(SAXS).These techniques provided evidence of the form.tion of core-shell nanostructures com.rising an aqueous core surrounded by a bilayer consisting of phospholipids and am.hiphilic *** vitro experim.nts in cancer cell lines and m.crophages confirm.d Hanas’low toxicity and ability to transport m.bs to the intracellular *** reproducibility of this assem.ling process at industrial-scale batch sizes and the long-term.stability was *** conclusion,these results underscore the suitability of Hanas technology to load and deliver biologicals,which holds prom.se for future clinical translation.

Neuropathic pain is a severe and chronic condition widely found in the general *** reason for this is the extensive variety of dam.ge or diseases that can spark this unpleasant constant feeling in *** the processing of pain,the dorsal root ganglia constitute an im.ortant region where dorsal root ganglion neurons play a crucial role in the transm.ssion and propagation of sensory electrical ***,the dorsal root ganglia have recently exhibited a regenerative capacity that should not be neglected in the understanding of the developm.nt and resolution of neuropathic pain and in the elucidation of innovative ***,we will review the com.lex interplay between cells(satellite glial cells and inflam.atory cells)and factors(cytokines,neurotrophic factors and genetic factors)that takes place within the dorsal root ganglia and accounts for the generation of the aberrant excitation of prim.ry sensory neurons occurring in neuropathic *** im.ortantly,we will sum.arize an updated view of the current pharm.cologic and nonpharm.cologic therapies targeting the dorsal root ganglia for the treatm.nt of neuropathic pain.
