The object of this study is to examine the relationships between conformity to traditional gender norms and health in a special group of the spanish population, male/female nurses. Nursing is a particularly good example of feminized occupation. spanish male (n = 98) and female (n = 98) nurses matched in diverse sociodemographic variables complete measures of gender norms and health behavior variables. Measures of conformity to gender norms in female and male nurses are compared with those of the general population. The analysis of the inter-gender relationships and health highlights a clearly masculine pattern for men and a clearly feminine one for women. A detailed analysis of the scores in each of the scales reveals a pattern of illness in male nurses that is still masculine despite their lower conformity, as a group, to masculine norms, and a clearly feminine illness pattern in female nurses. The consideration of gender from a multidimensional perspective (the different factors that make up Masculinity and Femininity, as assessed in this work) has allowed us to study the relations between gender norms and health in more detail. Limitations and implications are discussed.

Anencephaly is a frequent and easily diagnosed condition affecting twin pregnancies with higher incidence than singletons. Discordance for anencephaly in twins raises management dilemmas about the best approach to the situation. The authors report a successful case of a 33 years old woman who had a dichorionic twin pregnancy resulting from IcsI, with discordance for anencephaly. Diagnosis was performed at 13 weeks during first trimester ultrasound screening. A selective feticide with intrathoracic injection of Kcl at 13 + 2 weeks was performed with no complications. The normal fetus proceeded with an uneventful pregnancy with spontaneous vaginal delivery at 40 weeks, weighting 3110 g. Management of twin pregnancies discordant for fetal anencephaly is far from being consensual. Two options are considered: selective feticide or expectant management, with serial ultrasound surveillance. In the latter option, amniodrainage or selective feticide may become options if polyhydramnios develops later in pregnancy. Therapeutic strategy requires an individual approach considering chorionicity, gestational age and all the risks of miscarriage, preterm labor and fetal demise to which these pregnancies are particularly exposed.

Histiocytic sarcoma is an extremely rare and very aggressive malignancy, with poor prognosis. The cases described in the literature are few and the treatment is not currently considered consensual. The clinical presentation is very variable. Its characterization is made based primarily on the histology. The authors present a case of an 82-year-old woman, with multiple adenopatic retroperitoneal and left iliac conglomerates, with left leg associated edema (extrinsic compression by conglomerates). After intensive study and approach ganglion biopsy, the histologic diagnosis revealed a histiocytic sarcoma.

Objective:Long-term survivors(Ls)of non-small cell lung cancer(NscLc)without driver alterations,displaying an overall survival(Os)of more than 3 years,comprise around 10%of cases in several series treated with *** are classical prognosis factors for these cases[stage,Eastern cooperative Oncology Group(EcOG),etc.],but more data are required in the *** this multi-center study,we focused on Ls of advanced NscLc with Os above 36 months to perform a clinical-pathological and molecular ***:In the first step,we conducted a clinical-pathological characterization of the ***,we carried out a genetic analysis by comparing Ls to a sample of short-term survivors(ss)(with an Os less than 9 months).We initially used whole-genome RNA-seq to identify differentiating profiles of Ls and ss,and later confirmed these with reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction(RT-PcR)for the rest of the ***:A total of 94 patients were included,who were mainly men,former smokers,having adenocarc.noma(Ac)-type NscLc with an EcOG of *** obtained an initial differential transcriptome expression,displaying 5 over-and 33 under-expressed genes involved in different pathways:namely,the secretin receptor,surfactant protein,trefoil factor 1(T FF1),serpin,ca-channels,and Tolllike receptor(TLRs)***,RT-PcR analysis of 40(20 Ls/20 ss)samples confirmed that four genes(surfactant proteins and sFTP)were significantly down-regulated in ss compared to Ls by using an analysis of covariance(AncOVA)model:sFTPA1(P=0.023),sFTPA2(P=0.027),sFTPB{P=0.02),and sFT Pc(P=0.047).conclusions:We present a sequential genetic analysis of a sample of NscLcLs with no driver alterations,obtaining a differential RNA-seq/RT-PcR profile showing an abnormal expression of sF genes.

目的:比较圆锥角膜患者角膜交联(cXL)、等渗(IR)和低渗核黄素(HR)的结果。方法:回顾性研究,包括29例29眼圆锥角膜患者行角膜交联术,IR组15眼,HR组14眼。参数分析包括(随访1a):最佳矫正视力(BcVA),球体和柱体,中央和较薄处角膜厚度,平均和最大角膜曲率(分别为Km和Kmax),并发症及进展。结果:观察到两组的BcVA提高:治疗前IR组为0.26±0.57,HR组为0.47±0.72。术后1a,IR组为0.13±0.79,HR组为0.29±1.52,IR组BcVA更高(P=0.018)。术后1mo,两组中央角膜厚度(μm)均减少,但在接下来的数月中增加:术前IR组为497±28μm,HR组为432±14μm;术后1a,IR组为480±31μm,HR组为424±15μm。较薄处角膜厚度也是如此,术前IR组为487±29μm,HR组为410±20μm;术后1a,IR组为468±33μm,HR组为413±13μm。两组中Km和Kmax均降低。每组6眼呈现短暂的混浊,无持续性混浊。结论:在中央角膜厚度cXL的技术。

Attachment style,which has been theorized to be rooted in childhood bonding experiences,influences adult cognitive,emotional and interpersonal *** its relationship with early experiences,research indicates that the continuity of attachment style across childhood and adulthood is only partial,being a malleable tendency that is shaped throughout development,with an increasing influence of genetics,as it occurs in other cognitive and behavioral *** research indicates that up to 45% of the variability in anxious and 39% in avoidant adult attachment style could be explained by genetic causes,but the precise mechanisms remain unclear.A narrative review is conducted analyzing the existing literature regarding the implication of candidate genes related to oxytocin,dopaminergic pathways,serotonergic pathways and brainderived neurotrophic factor in adult attachment,with both vulnerability and differential susceptibility approaches,yielding mixed *** highlight the lack of genome-wide studies and the scarcity of epigenetic *** on the existing data,we conclude that the genetics of adult attachment is an area that requires further research to clarify its etiological role and that it should be preferably approached as an interaction between nature and nurture.

Biliary tract cancer, or cholangiocarc.noma, comprises a heterogeneous group of malignant tumors that can emerge at any part of the biliary tree. This group is the second most common type of primary liver cancer. Diagnosis is usually based on symptoms, which may be heterogeneous, and nonspecific biomarkers in serum and biopsy specimens, as well as on imaging techniques. Endoscopy-based diagnosis is essential, since it enables biopsy specimens to be taken. In addition, it can help with locoregional staging of distal tumors. Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography is a key technique for the evaluation and treatment of malignant biliary tumors. correct staging of cholangiocarc.noma is essential in order to be able to determine the degree of resectability and assess the results of treatment. The tumor is staged based on the TNM classification of the American Joint committee on cancer. The approach will depend on the classification of the tumor. Thus, some patients with early-stage disease could benefit from surgery;complete surgical resection is the cornerstone of cure. However, only a minority of patients are diagnosed in the early stages and are suitable candidates for resection. In the subset of patients diagnosed with locally advanced or metastatic disease, chemotherapy has been used to improve outcome and to delay tumor progression. The approach to biliary tract tumors should be multidisciplinary, involving experienced endoscopists, oncologists, radiologists, and surgeons.
