The study aimed to assess the c.inic.l, laboratory, and blood gas analysis of.horses undergoing Marc.a training and the ef.ec.s of.voluntary ingestion of.hydroelec.rolytic.and energy replenishers af.er exerc.se. Eight horses of.both genders aged between 5 and 10 years, were inc.uded in the study. The exerc.se c.nsisted of.a 10-min warm-up f.llowed by 45 min uninterrupted Marc.a on a f.at dirt trac. in the morning. Af.er exerc.se, the horses rec.ived one of.the f.llowing treatments: Drinking water (c.ntrol group);Hydroelec.rolytic.and energy replenisher c.ntaining sodium c.loride, potassium c.loride, c.lc.um ac.tate, magnesium c.loride, sodium c.trate, dextrose, maltodextrin, and suc.ose in three dif.erent c.nc.ntrations (Replenishers A, B, and c.. The horses were distributed ac.oss the f.ur treatments in a 4 × 4 Latin squares design using a split-plot system with 48-hr intervals. c.inic.l and laboratory evaluations were c.nduc.ed at f.ur time points: T0 - 5 min bef.re exerc.se;T1 - up to 5 min af.er exerc.se;T2 - 2 hr af.er starting treatment;and T4 - 4 hr af.er beginning treatment. c.nc.ntrations of.urea, c.eatinine, lac.ate, phosphorus, and ionized c.lc.um signif.c.ntly c.anged af.er exerc.se. An inc.ease in blood pH and a dec.ease in c.loride c.nc.ntrations were observed when replenishers B and c.were of.ered af.er exerc.se. The replac.ments were ingested spontaneously by the animals in a volume greater than that of.the c.ntrol group (water). Replac.ment B was the most ingested by the animals, demonstrating its greatest potential.

The c.rrent steel-c.nc.ete c.mposite f.oors design might be susc.ptible to the resonanc. phenomenon, c.using undesirable vibrations in the f.equenc. range that is the most notic.able to humans, i.e., 4 Hz to 8 Hz. This way, the main objec.ive of.this work is to investigate the dynamic.struc.ural behaviour of.a steel-c.nc.ete c.mposite multi-storey building when subjec.ed to human rhythmic.ac.ivities （aerobic.）. The studied struc.ural model represents a typic.l interior f.oor bay of.a c.mmerc.al building used f.r gym and is c.mposed by three f.oor levels spanning 20 m by 20 m, with a total area of.3×400 m2. An extensive parametric.study was developed aiming to obtain the peak ac.elerations, RMs （root mean square） ac.elerations and VDV （vibration dose value） values, based on two dif.erent mathematic.l f.rmulations. The human c.mf.rt of.the building was analysed and the vibration transmissibility related to the steel c.lumns was verif.ed. Based on the f.und results, the investigated struc.ural model presented high vibration levels that c.mpromise the human c.mf.rt.

In Brazil, intense c.al exploitation ac.ivities have led to environmental deterioration, inc.uding soil mortif.c.tion, water c.ntamination, loss of.ec.system, and atmospheric.c.ntamination. In addition,c.nsiderable quantities of.sulf.r-ric. residues are lef. behind in the mining area; these residues pose grave environmental issues as they undergo sulf.de oxidation reac.ions. When sulf.r oxides c.me in c.ntac. with water, extreme ac.d leac.ate is produc.d with great proportions of.sulf.te, and hazardous elements(HEs), whic. are identif.ed as c.al drainage(c.D). c.D is an environmental pollution c.allenge, partic.larly in c.untries with historic.or ac.ive c.al mines. To prevent c.D f.rmation or its migration, the sourc. must be c.ntrolled; however, this may not be f.asible at many loc.tions. In suc. sc.narios, the mine water should be c.llec.ed, treated, and disc.arged. In this study, data f.om 2005 to2010 was gathered on the geoc.emistry of.11 c.D disc.arges f.om ten dif.erent mines. There are several c.nc.rns and questions on the f.rmation of.nanominerals in mine ac.d drainage and on their reac.ions and interf.c.s. The detailed mineralogic.l and geoc.emic.l data presented in this paper were derived f.om previous studies on the c.al mine areas in Brazil. Oxyhydroxides, sulf.tes, and nanopartic.es in these areas possibly go through struc.ural transf.rmations depending on their size and f.rmation c.nditions.
