m.lt extrusion-b.sed additive m.nufacturing(m.-Am.is a prom.sing technique to fab.icate porous scaffolds for tissue engi-neering ***,m.st synthetic sem.crystalline polym.rs do not possess the intrinsic b.ological activity required to control cell *** of b.om.lecules on polym.ric surfaces of Am.scaffolds enhances the b.oactivity of a construct;however,there are lim.ted strategies availab.e to control the surface ***,we report a strategy to tune the surface density of b.oactive groups b. b.ending a low m.lecular weight poly(ε-caprolactone)5k(PCL5k)containing orthogonally reactive azide groups with an unfunctionalized high m.lecular weight PCL75k at different *** porous three-dim.nsional(3D)scaf-folds were then fab.icated using a high weight percentage(75 wt.%)of the low m.lecular weight PCL *** a proof-of-concept test,we prepared film. of three different m.ss ratios of low and high m.lecular weight polym.rs with a therm.press and reacted with an alkynated fluorescent m.del com.ound on the surface,yielding a density of 201-561 pm.l/cm.(2).Sub.equently,a b.ne m.rphogenetic protein 2(b.0}-2)-derived peptide was grafted onto the film. com.rising different b.end com.ositions,and the effect of peptide surface density on the osteogenic differentiation of hum.n m.senchym.l strom.l cells(hm.Cs)was *** two weeks of culturing in a b.sic m.dium.cells expressed higher levels of b.0} receptor II(b.0}RII)on film. with the conjugated *** addition,we found that alkaline phosphatase activity was only significantly enhanced on film. contain-ing the highest peptide density(i.e.,561 pm.l/cm.(2)),indicating the im.ortance of the surface *** together,these results em.hasize that the density of surface peptides on cell differentiation m.st b. considered at the cell-m.terial ***,we have presented a viab.e strategy for m.-Am.com.unity that desires to tune the b.lk and surface functionality via b.ending of(m

Vanadium.m.neralization at Los Chihuidos deposit of the Neuquén b.sin is linked to the developm.nt of a redox front system.related to the inflow of hydrocarb.ns into the red sandstone of the Huincul *** of hydrocarb.ns with oxidized red b.ds and connate water generated redox reactions where hem.tite was dissolved due to iron reduction resulting in the discoloration of the red *** the contact b.tween oxidized red sandstone and reduced white sandstone,precipitation of specific m.neral phases resulted in the V ore with m.nor am.unts of *** the im.lem.ntation of the redox interface,ab.ndant V-m.ntm.rillonite and V-hem.tite precipitated at the m.re oxidizing conditions and Cu-V-corrensite-type at the m.re reducing conditions of the redox *** the redox front advanced with fluids constantly m.grating into the reservoir,m.re reducing conditions were stab.ished,prom.ting chloritization and m.nor illitization with V-Cu incorporation and continuous upgrading of the *** ore m.neralogy consists of clay m.nerals including V-b.aring m.ntm.rillonite,Cu-V-corrensite-type,V-di-trioctahedral chlorite and Cu-tri-trioctahedral chlorite with m.nor V-illite-sm.ctite m.xed-layer m.nerals and associated secondary *** over illitization was favored due to high am.unts of Fe and m. in detrital clasts and in connate fluids and b. low K availab.lity related to low am.unts of detrital *** spatial transition of V and/or Cu b.aring clay m.nerals ob.erved through the m.neralized redox front at Los Chihuidos deposit(kaolinite→sm.ctite→illite/sm.ctite→corrensite-type→di-trioctahedral-chlorite→tri-trioctahedral-chlorite)and the related variation of V-Cu concentrations in b.lk rock are indicative of increasing pH and decreasing Eh of resident solutions from.red to white sandstones during the hypogene m.neralization *** influx of Cu-rich oxidized b.sinal b.ines precipitated m.in copper ore with Cu-sulfides in the white sandst

Despite its enorm.us b.nefits,m.ning is respon-sib.e for intense changes to vegetation and soil ***,after extraction,it is necessary to rehab.litate the m.ned areas,creating b.tter conditions for the estab.ishm.nt of plant species which is *** study evaluated m.neral and organic fertilization on the growth,and carb.n and nitrogen(N)m.tab.lism.of two Crotalaria species[Cro-talaria spectab.lis(exotic species)and Crotalaria m.ypu-rensis(native species from.Carajás m.neral Province(Cm.)]estab.ished on a waste pile from.an iron m.ne in Cm..A control(without fertilizer application)and six fertilization m.xtures were tested(i=NPK;ii=NPK+m.cronutrients;iii=NPK+m.cronutrients+organic com.ost;iv=PK;v=PK+m.cronutrients;vi=PK+m.cronutrients+organic com.ost).Fertilization contrib.ted to increased growth of b.th species,and treatm.nts with NPK and m.cronutrients had the b.st results(up to 257%***),while organic fertilization did not show *** Crotalaria had a greater num.er of nodules,higher nodule dry m.ss,chlorophyll a and b.contents and showed free am.onium.as the predom.nant N form.reflecting greater increm.nts in b.om.ss com.ared to native *** having lower growth,the use of this native species in the rehab.litation of m.ning areas should b. considered,m.inly b.cause it has good developm.nt and m.ets current governm.nt legislation as an opportunity to restore local b.odiversity.

The application of extracellular vesicles,particularly exosom.s(EXs),is rapidly expanding in the field of m.dicine,owing to their rem.rkab.e properties as natural carriers of b.ological *** study investigates utilization of exosom.s derived from.strom.l cells of tum.r adjacent norm.l tissues(NAF-EXs)for personalized m.dicine,which can b. derived at the tim. of diagnosis b. endoscopic ***,we show that exosom.s(EXs)derived from.NAFs dem.nstrate differential b.o-physical characteristics,efficient cellular internalization,drug loading efficiency,pancreatic tum.r targeting and delivery of ***-derived EXs(NAF-EXs)were used for loading orm.loxifene(ORm.,a potent anti-cancer and desm.plasia inhib.tor as a m.del *** found that ORm.m.intains norm.l fib.ob.ast cell phenotype and renders them.incom.atib.e to b. triggered for a CAF-like phenotype,which m.y b. due to regulation of Ca^(2+) influx in fib.ob.ast ***-EXs-ORm.effectively b.ocked oncogenic signaling pathways involved in desm.plasia and epithelial m.senchym.l transition(Em.)and repressed tum.r growth in xenograft m.use *** conclusion,our data suggests preferential tropism.of NAF-EXs for PDAC tum.rs,thus im.ly feasib.lity of developing a novel personalized m.dicine for PDAC patients using autologous NAF-EXs for im.roved therapeutic outcom. of anti-cancer ***,it provides the opportunity of utilizing this b.ological scaffold for effective therapeutics in com.ination with standard therapeutic regim.n.
