Atractylodes lancea(called Cangzhu in China)is a medicinal plant that has long been used as tonic agent in various ethno-medical systems in East Asia,especially in China,for the treatment of gastrointestinal dysfunction,cancer,osteoporosis,obesity and fetal *** used the TCMSP database to search for the main active ingredients and traditional Chinese medicine targets of Atractylodes *** are a total of 38 related articles,of which 27 are closely related to chemical composition and *** study reviews the chemical components and pharmacological effects of ***,aiming to provide reference for its further research and development.

Climate change poses a serious long-term threat to *** effectively reduce biodiversity loss,conservationists need to have a thorough understanding of the preferred habitats of species and the variables that affect their ***,predicting the impact of climate change on speciesappropriate habitats may help mitigate the potential threats to biodiversity ***,a monocotyledonous genus of the family Velloziaceae is native to mainland Africa,Madagascar,and the Arabian *** key drivers of Xerophyta habitat distribution and preference are *** 308 species occurrence data and eight environmental variables,the MaxEnt model was used to determine the potential distribution of six Xerophyta species in Africa under past,current and future climate change *** results showed that the models had a good predictive ability(Area Under the Curve and True Skill Statistics values for all SDMs were more than 0.902),indicating high accuracy in forecasting the potential geographic distribution of Xerophyta *** main bioclimatic variables that impacted potential distributions of most Xerophyta species were mean temperature of the driest quarter(Bio9)and precipitation of the warmest quarter(Bio18).According to our models,tropical Africa has zones of moderate and high suitability for Xerophyta taxa,which is consistent with the majority of documented species *** habitat suitability of the existing range of the Xerophyta species varied based on the climate scenario,with most species experiencing a range loss greater than the range gain regardless of the climate *** projected spatiotemporal patterns of Xerophyta species help guide recommendations for conservation efforts.

Lignocellulosic biomass is a critical renewable carbon resource,but most of its utilization is inefficient,and elec-trocatalytic oxidation is a promising method of upgrading lignocellulose into value-added fuels and chemicals under mild operating ***,efforts to enable conversion with a high efficiency and low energy con-sumption have been reported,but understanding the reaction mechanisms and realizing scaled-up applications of the electrooxidation of lignocellulosic biomass are still in their early stages.A timely overview of recently reported general reaction mechanisms,particularly the strategies developed for use in improving the reaction efficiencies,is necessary to inspire research regarding the highly efficient utilization of ***,we summa-rize the strategies developed to improve electrocatalytic performance in oxidative lignocellulose *** organized summary includes strategies ranging from designing efficient electrocatalysts and adding functional co-catalysts or electrolytes to employing advanced electrolyzers.A comprehensive overview of representative examples should provide universal principles to yield insight into the reaction processes and guide the design of efficient electrocatalytic ***,the challenges and opportunities in developing the electrocatalytic oxidative upgrading of lignocellulosic biomass in the near future are proposed.

Al Preparation from Solid Al_2O_3 by Direct Electrochemical Deoxidation in Molten CaCl_2-NaCl at 550℃

Al was prepared by a new method in molten salt at low temperature. Sintered alumina pellets were used as cathode; graphite rod was employed as anode; and the molten CaCl2-NaCl was the electrolyte. A constant 3.2 V voltage was applied in this experiment, and oxygen in solid alumina cathode was reduced by direct electrochemical deoxidation at 550℃. In this process, the current gradually decreased with increasing time and the alumina pellets became grey and porous. The metallic particles were obtained and characterized by XRD （X-ray diffraction） and SEM （scanning electron microscopy）.

Two-dimensional(2D) transition-metal dichalcogenides(TMDCs) have attracted enormous interests as the novel channel materials for atomically thin transistors. Despite considerable progress in recent years, the transistor performance is largely limited by the excessive contact resistance at the source/drain interface. In this review, a summary of recent progress on improving electrical contact to TMDC transistors is presented. Several important strategies including topology of contacts, choice of metals and interface engineering are discussed.

Fe-based Fenton agents can generate highly reactive and toxic hydroxyl radicals(·OH)in the tumor microenvironment(TME)for chemodynamic therapy(CDT)with high ***,the low pH environment and insufficient endogenous hydrogen peroxide(H_(2)O_(2))of the highly efficient Fenton reaction limits its practical application in ***,a Cu(Ⅱ)-doped mesoporous silica nanoagent(Cu-MSN)with excellent dispersity was successfully *** loaded with doxorubicin(DOX)and ascorbate(AA),Cu-MSN@DA was coated with active targeting ligand folic acid(FA),dimethyl maleic an-hydride(DMMA)and carboxymethyl chitosan(CMC)to obtain an active transporting nanoagent(FCDC@Cu-MSN@DA)with tunable charge-reversal property,which is more adaptable to the pH value of TME than Fe-based Fenton agents,and can self-supply exogenous H_(2)O_(2)by ascorbate to produce more toxic·OH to trigger the apoptosis of cancer ***,the high level of glutathione(GSH)in TME can reduce Cu(Ⅱ)to Cu(I)by Fenton-like reaction,increasing the generation rate of·OH and relieving tumor antioxidant *** supply of exogenous H_(2)O_(2)significantly enhanced the synergistic effect of CDT by oxidative *** with DOX-induced cell apoptosis,this novel nanoagent FCDC@Cu-MSN@DA can achieve maximum therapeutic efficacy,creating a new model of safe and effective tumor treatment with high specificity.

This was a single-arm,multicenter,open-label phase I *** vectors(LV)carrying the ABCD1 gene(LV-ABCD1)was directly injected into the brain of patients with childhood cerebral adrenoleukodystrophy(CCALD),and multi-site injection was *** injection dose increased from 200 to 1600 lL(vector titer:1×10^(9) transduction units per mL(TU/mL)),and the average dose per kilogram body weight ranges from 8 to 63.6 lL/*** primary endpoint was safety,dose-exploration and immunogenicity and the secondary endpoint was initial evaluation of efficacy and the expression of ABCD1 protein.A total of 7 patients participated in this phase I study and were followed for 1 *** injectionrelated serious adverse event or death *** adverse events associated with the injection were irritability(71%,5/7)and fever(37.2-38.5℃,57%,4/7).Adverse events were mild and selflimited,or resolved within 3 d of symptomatic *** maximal tolerable dose is 1600 *** 5 cases(83.3%,5/6),no lentivirus associated antibodies were *** overall survival at 1-year was 100%.The ABCD1 protein expression was detected in neutrophils,monocytes and *** study suggests that the intracerebral injection of LV-ABCD1 for CCALD is safe and can achieve successful LV transduction in vivo;even the maximal dose did not increase the risk of adverse ***,the direct LV-ABCD1 injection displayed low *** addition,the effectiveness of intracerebral LV-ABCD1 injection has been preliminarily demonstrated while further investigation is *** study has been registered in the Chinese Clinical Trial Registry(https://***/,registration number:ChiCTR1900026649).

While industrial manufacturing is giving way to the creative economy in the 21^(st) century,Shanghai-similar to many major cities around the world-is keen to bolster a stronger economy and increase its competitiveness by encouraging the development of cultural and creative *** the past decade,the Shanghai municipal government has made a concerted effort to exploit the heritage assets of the city’s industrial past to reform its economic *** has been a deliberate attempt to establish a stronger correlation between industrial heritage conservation and creative industry cluster *** aim of this research is to investigate the process of converting former industrial sites into loci of *** doing so,we can determine the main actors,how different stakeholder groups came into play and the evolution of the subtle interplay between the designation of heritage architecture and that of creative industry *** on qualitative research methods,this paper presents a detailed analysis of three case studies in Shanghai:M50 Creative Park,1933 Shanghai and the Cool *** results reveal the changing positions of three major stakeholder *** the private sector and the general public have developed increasing interests in the embedded economic and cultural values of the former industrial structures,local government has consciously reduced its presence and influence in valorising industrial ***,the growing public awareness of cultural heritage protection and the increasing interest in the economic contribution of cultural and creative industries are intrinsic to Shanghai’s reindustrialisation in the 21^(st) century.

Effect of chicken haemoglobin powder on growth, feed utilization, immunity and haematological index of largemouth bass (Micropterus salmoides)

A 12-week feeding trial was conducted to evaluate the effects of replacing fish meal by chicken haemoglobin powder in largemouth bass *** isonitrogenous(48%)and isolipidic(12%)diets were formulated to replace 0%(control),9.80%,19.61%and 29.41%of fish meal with chicken haemoglobin *** diet was fed to triplicate groups of fish(initial weight:49.50±0.07 g)twice *** fish specific growth rate was significantly reduced when diet replacement level was up to 19.61%,which may be related to the feed intake and apparent digestibility coefficient of protein and amino ***,the feed efficiency ratio and protein efficiency ratio were not significantly decreased until the replacement level up to 29.41%.The activity of CCP was significantly reduced when 19.61%of fish meal was ***,the activity of lysozyme and serum protein content was significantly altered in fish fed with the diets up to 29.41%***,the red blood cell count and haemoglobin content was significantly decreased when the replacement level was up to 19.61%.In overall,the diet with 9.80%of chicken haemoglobin powder was more suitable for largemouth bass.
