A knowledge graph and service for regional geologic time standards

Geologic time is an important dimension in geological *** time data are commonly collected from multiple sources in data-intensive studies of Earth’s history and raise an issue of data cleansing and integration.A knowledge graph of the international geological time scale has been established to harmonize heterogeneous data to facilitate effective and efficient data-driven *** many regional geologic time standards are also used in various databases and literature,there is limited discussion or development of knowledge graph for *** this research,we construct a knowledge graph for the geologic time standards in 17 regions at the Epoch and Age *** regional geologic time knowledge graph is integrated with the international geologic time knowledge graph as a comprehensive deep-time knowledge base.A SPARQL endpoint has been established to provide open and free online service to the knowledge *** use cases are presented here to demonstrate the functionality of the knowledge graph we built as well as its application in open data *** work addresses the shortage of machine-readable knowledge graphs for regional geologic time standards and will help accelerate geologic data integration from multiple sources in data-intensive *** data and code in this paper are made open source and are accessible on GitHub and Zenodo.

Determination of soil physicochemical attributes in farming sites through visible,near-infrared diffuse reflectance spectroscopy and PLSR modeling

Introduction:An accurate and reliable detection of soil physicochemical attributes(SPAs)is a difficult and complicated issue in soil *** SPA may be varied spatially and temporally with the complexity of *** the past,SPA detection has been obtained through routine soil chemical and physical laboratory ***,these laboratory methods do not fulfill the rapid ***,diffuse reflectance spectroscopy(DRS)can be used to nondestructively detect and characterize soil attributes with superior *** the present article,we report a study done through spectral curves in the visible(350–700 nm)and near-infrared(700–2500 nm)(VNIR)region of 74 soil specimens which were agglomerated by farming sectors of Phulambri Tehsil of the Aurangabad region of Maharashtra,*** quantitative analysis of VNIR spectrum was ***:The spectra of agglomerated farming soils were acquired by the Analytical Spectral Device(ASD)Field spec 4 *** soil spectra of the VNIR region were preprocessed to get pure spectra which were the input for regression *** partial least squares regression(PLSR)model was computed to construct the calibration models,which were individually validated for the prediction of SPA from the soil *** computed model was based on a correlation study between reflected spectra and detected *** detected SPAs were soil organic carbon(SOC),nitrogen(N),soil organic matter(SOM),pH values,electrical conductivity(EC),phosphorus(P),potassium(K),iron(Fe),sand,silt,and *** accuracy of the PLSR model-validated determinant(R^(2))values were SOC 0.89,N 0.68,SOM 0.93,pH values 0.82,EC 0.89,P 0.98,K 0.82,Fe 0.94,sand 0.98,silt 0.90,and clay 0.69 with root mean square error of prediction(RMSEP)3.51,4.34,2.66,2.12,4.11,1.41,4.22,1.56,1.89,1.97,and 9.91,*** to the experimental results,the VNIR-DRS was better for detection of SPA and produced more accurate predictions for ***

Anomalous Left Coronary Artery from Pulmonary Artery with Good Ventricular Function in an Adult. A Rare Scenario

Anomalous origin of the left coronary artery from the pulmonary artery (ALCAPA) with preserved ventricular function is a rare congenital coronary artery anomaly when diagnosed in an adult patient and remains an important cause of sudden cardiac death. We report a 42-year-old patient with ALCAPA managed with intrapulmonary interruption of the left main coronary artery (LMCA) ostea and grafting of the LMCA with left internal mammary artery so as to restore antegrade coronary flow. This restores a dual-coronary-artery system and also allows antegrade blood flow as in a normal coronary artery to a large area of viable myocardium. This strategy is simple to accomplish and is more physiological in an anteriorly placed and dilated LMCA as seen in our case.
