Geological mapping and mining prospecting in the Aouli inlier(Eastern Meseta,Morocco)based on remote sensing and geographic information systems(GIS)

Landsat 8 Oli,ASTER,and Sentinel 2A satellite images processing was used to map geological formations,lineaments and hydrothermal alteration minerals in the Aouli inlier,as a case study to illustrate the application of digital images processing and Geographic Information System(GIS)in geological mapping and mining *** Component Analysis(PCA)applied to the Landsat images allowed good lithological discrimination and contributed to the updating of available geological *** Automatic lineament extraction from Sentinel images revealed the main tectonic structures affecting Aouli *** ratio bands(b5+b7)/b6 and the false color composite(b4/b6,b2/b1,b3/b2)allowed the hydrothermal alteration minerals mapping from Aster *** with available geological data and field observations,the satellite derived data were integrated and analyzed in a GIS software to establish mining prospecting *** results showed that the anomaly zones are intimately linked to NNE-SSW and NW-SE oriented faults and to highly fractured areas developing argillic and Fe rich *** via field survey,this approach was successfully applied to the Aouli inlier to rapidly target potential areas to be explored in the tactical *** provides a model for future prospecting efforts for similar mineral deposits in other areas.

MODELING AND OPTIMIZATION OF CYCLIC HOIST SCHEDULES IN AN ELECTROPLATING LINE

This paper deals with the modeling, analysis and optimization of a specific kind of real industrial problems. This class of problems is known in the literature as Cyclic Hoist Scheduling Problem （CHSP）. In such class of problems, several jobs have to flow through a production line according to an ordered bath sequence. The CHSPs appear in the manufacturing facilities to achieve a mass production and to search a repetitive sequence of moves for the hoist. In this paper, we develop P-Temporal Petri Net models to represent the behavior and validate certain qualitative properties of the basic production line. Afterward, complex configurations of the production line are modeled and their properties such as reachability of desired functioning （cyclic operation）, deadlock-free, resource sharing and management are checked and validated. A mathematical analysis and a simulation study of all proposed Petri net models are carried out using mathematical fundaments of Petri nets and a Visual Object Net ＋＋ tool. The second part of the paper deals with the development of a mixed integer linear programming models to optimize processing of each line configuration. Optimal manufacturing plans of the studied system with cyclic processing sequences are defined and the feasibility of optimal cyclic scheduling of each configuration is proved.

It is well known that the passive strategies applying in traditional buildings respond satisfactory to climatic requirements and succeed to provide maximum indoor comfort with minimum energy *** this point of view,it is interesting to quantitatively assess the effectiveness of the vernacular strategies to improve the environmental performance of the building's envelope under desert climate *** research tries to address this issue and was undertaken in southern Algeria where a very hot and arid climate *** effect of some selected passive cooling strategies on enhancing the building's envelope climate performance was *** strategies are inspired from the local vernacular architecture,and they are expected to provide satisfactory indoor thermal comfort for users and to reduce the energy cooling demand from residential *** field and computational investigations,two existing residential buildings were tested:a typical residential unit and a contemporary vernacular(neo-vernacular)*** the latter,climate responsive strategies inspired from vernacular architecture were applied.A comparison based on site measurements was carried out on the two selected buildings which differ from their envelope design properties and components.

This research focuses on the home health care optimization problem that involves staff routing and scheduling *** considered problem is an extension of multiple travelling salesman *** consists of finding the shortest path for a set of caregivers visiting a set of patients at their homes in order to perform various tasks during a given ***,a mixed-integer linear programming model is proposed to minimize the overall service time performed by all caregivers while respecting the workload balancing ***,when the time horizon become large,practical-sized instances become very difficult to solve in a reasonable computational ***,a new Learning Genetic Algorithm for mTSP(LGA-mTSP)is proposed to solve the ***-mTSP is composed of a new genetic algorithm for mTSP,combined with a learning approach,called learning *** refers to that caregivers’productivity increases as they gain more *** curves approach is considered as a way to save time and *** results show the efficiency of the proposed approach and the impact of learning curve strategy to reduce service times.

Na_(0.5)(Bi_(3/4)RE_(1/4))_(0.5)TiO_(3)(RENBT,RE=Nd,Gd,Dy,and Ho)compounds were investigated in the framework of first-principles calculations using the full potential linearized augmented plane wave(FP-LAPW)method based on the spin-polarized density functional theory implemented in the WIEN2k *** charge density distribution and Ti K-edge X-ray absorption spectra reveal that the RENBT compositions with high polarization values are accompanied by a higher TiO_(6)distortion,DyNBT,and NdNBT *** effect of the rare-earth elements on the polarization is confirmed experimentally with the collection of the hysteresis *** investigation of the electronic properties of the compounds highlights the emergence of a magnetization owing to the 4f orbital effect of the rare-earth ***,the investigation of the chemical ordering shows a short-range chemical ordering for the pure composition and an increased A-site disorder for dysprosium doped NBT *** increased disorder may speak for increased relaxor properties in the RE doped compositions.

The outbreak of COVID-19 affected global nations and is posing serious challenges to healthcare systems across the *** use X-Rays or Computed Tomography(CT)images to confirm the presence of ***,image processing techniques play an important role in diagnostic procedures and it helps the healthcare professionals during critical *** current research work introduces Multi-objective Black Widow Optimization(MBWO)-based Convolutional Neural Network i.e.,MBWOCNN technique for diagnosis and classification of *** model involves four steps such as preprocessing,feature extraction,parameter tuning,and *** the beginning,the input images undergo preprocessing followed by CNN-based feature ***,Multi-objective Black Widow Optimization(MBWO)technique is applied to fine tune the hyperparameters of ***,Extreme Learning Machine with autoencoder(ELM-AE)is applied as a classifier to confirm the presence of COVID-19 and classify the disease under different class *** proposed MBWO-CNN model was validated experimentally and the results obtained were compared with the results achieved by existing *** experimental results ensured the superior results of the ELM-AE model by attaining maximum classification performance with the accuracy of 96.43%.The effectiveness of the technique is proved through promising results and the model can be applied in diagnosis and classification of COVID-19.

Diachronic Study of the Vegetation Covers Spatiotemporal Change Using GIS and Remote Sensing in the Ferkla Oasis: Case Study, Bour El Khourbat, Tinjdad, Morocco

The Oasis of Ferkla is part of the Oases of Tafilalt in southern Morocco. These are classified by UNESCO as the Oases of Southern Morocco Biosphere Reserve. The Ferkla Oasis is increasingly experiencing a situation of increased regression and degradation, aggravated by the effects of climate change. These foreshadow a considerable acceleration of desertification and drought with the effect of the loss of production systems whose social, ecological and economic role remains major for the whole country. In order to contribute to a better understanding of the dynamics of the vegetation in this territory and the impact of climate change in the Oasis of Ferkla, we used spatial remote sensing to trace the evolution of changes in the vegetation cover in an agricultural extension called Bour El Khourbat. Calculation of the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index for seven multidate satellite images allowed us to follow the vegetation in this oasis zone from the year 1984 to 2019. Indeed, from these multi-temporal images, this study clearly shows the evolution of the vegetation with a remarkable agricultural extension towards the South-East of the zone. This extension is due not only to the installation of a diversion dam upstream but also to the development of the localized irrigation system “Drop by Drop” which is a technique that saves water resources in addition to the presence in the area. Bour El Khourbat specifies a geological structure, in the primary, relatively favorable to having water linked to cracks.
