With the development of hardware devices and the upgrading of smartphones,a large number of users save privacy-related information in mobile devices,mainly smartphones,which puts forward higher demands on the protection of mobile users’privacy *** present,mobile user authenticationmethods based on humancomputer interaction have been extensively studied due to their advantages of high precision and non-perception,but there are still shortcomings such as low data collection efficiency,untrustworthy participating nodes,and lack of *** this end,this paper proposes a privacy-enhanced mobile user authentication method with motion sensors,which mainly includes:(1)Construct a smart contract-based private chain and federated learning to improve the data collection efficiency of mobile user authentication,reduce the probability of the model being bypassed by attackers,and reduce the overhead of data centralized processing and the risk of privacy leakage;(2)Use certificateless encryption to realize the authentication of the device to ensure the credibility of the client nodes participating in the calculation;(3)Combine Variational Mode Decomposition(VMD)and Long Short-TermMemory(LSTM)to analyze and model the motion sensor data of mobile devices to improve the accuracy of model *** experimental results on the real environment dataset of 1513 people show that themethod proposed in this paper can effectively resist poisoning attacks while ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of mobile user authentication.

Reconstruction of earthquake hazard in regions of sparse seismic monitoring

Studying strong motion records and the spatial distribution of ground shaking is of great importance in understanding the underlying causes of damage in earthquakes. Many regions in the world are either not instrumented or are sparsely instrumented. As such, significant opportunities for motion-damage correlations are lost. Two recent and damaging earthquakes belong to the class of lost opportunities, namely the Kashmir （Pakistan） earthquake of October 2005 and the Yogyakarta （Indonesia） earthquake of May 2006. In this paper, an overview of the importance of supply and demand studies in earthquake-stricken regions is given, followed by two examples of investigative engineering seismology aimed at reconstructing the hazard from sparse data. The paper closes with a plea for responsible authorities to invest in seismic monitoring networks in the very near future.

Recently,Internet of Things(IoT)technology has provided logistics services to many disciplines such as agriculture,industry,and ***,it has become one of the most important scientific research *** IoT to military domain has many challenges such as fault tolerance and *** this paper,IoT technology is applied on the military field to create an Internet of Military Things(IoMT)***,the architecture of the aforementioned IoMT system is *** architecture consists of four main layers:Communication,information,application,and decision *** layers provided a fault tolerant coverage communication system for IoMT ***,it implemented data reduction methods such as filtering,compression,abstraction,and data prioritization queuing system to guarantee QoS for the transmitted ***,it used decision support technology and IoMT application unification ***,to evaluate the IoMT system,an intensive simulation environment is constructed using the network simulation package,*** simulation results proved that the proposed IoMT system outperformed the traditional military system with regard to the performance metrics,packet loss,end-to-end delay,throughput,energy consumption ratio,and data reduction rate.

Since the discovery of graphene,the star among new materials,there has been a surge of attention focused on the monatomic and monomolecular sheets which can be obtained by exfoliation of layered *** materials are known as two-dimensional(2D)materials and offer enormous versatility and *** ultimate single atom,or molecule,thickness of the 2D materials sheets provides the highest surface to weight ratio of all the nanomaterials,which opens the door to the design of more sensitive and reliable chemical *** variety of properties and the possibility of tuning the chemical and surface properties of the 2D materials increase their potential as selective sensors,targeting chemical species that were previously difficult to *** planar structure and the mechanical flexibility of the sheets allow new sensor designs and put 2D materials at the forefront of all the candidates for wearable *** developing sensors for alcohol,the response time is an essential factor for many industrial and forensic applications,particularly when it comes to hand-held ***,we review recent developments in the applications of 2D materials in sensing alcohols along with a study on parameters that affect the sensing *** review also discusses the strategies used to develop the sensor along with their mechanisms of sensing and provides a critique of the current limitations of 2D materials-based alcohol sensors and an outlook for the future research required to overcome the challenges.

SmartSurf^(ACE)transepithelial photorefractive keratectomy with mitomycin C enhancement after small incision lenticule extraction

Background:To evaluate predictability,stability,efficacy,and safety of transepithelial photorefractive keratectomy(TPRK)using smart pulse technology(SPT)(SmartSurface procedure)of Schwind Amaris with mitomycin C for correction of post small incision lenticule extraction(SMILE)myopic residual refractive ***:This study is a prospective,non-comparative case series conducted at a private eye centre in Ismailia,Egypt,on eyes with post-SMILE myopic residual refractive errors because of undercorrection or suction loss(suction loss occurred after the posterior lenticular cut and the creation of side-cuts;redocking was attempted,and the treatment was completed in the same session with the same parameters)with myopia or myopic *** patients were followed up post-SMILE for six months before the SmartSurface procedure,and then they were followed up for one year after *** were performed using Amaris excimer laser at 500 *** main outcomes included refractive predictability,stability,efficacy,safety and any reported ***:This study included 68 eyes of 40 patients out of 1920 total eyes(3.5%)with post-SMILE technique myopic residual refractive *** average duration between the SMILE surgery and TPRK was 6.7±0.4 months(range 6 to 8 months).The mean refractive spherical equivalent(SE)was within±0.50 D of plano correction in 100%of the eyes at 12 months *** of<0.50 D was achieved in 100%of the *** mean of the residual SE error showed statistically significant improvement from preoperative−1.42±0.52 D to 0.23±0.10 D(P<0.0001).Uncorrected distance visual acuity(UDVA)(measured by Snellen’s chart and averaged in logMAR units)was improved significantly to 0.1±0.07(P<0.0001).UDVA was 0.2 logMAR or better in 100%of the eyes,0.1 logMAR or better in 91.2%of the eyes,and 0.0 logMAR in 20.6%of the *** distance visual acuity(CDVA)remained unchanged in 79.4%of eyes.14.7%of eyes gained one line of CDVA(Snellen).

A numerical investigation into the effect of altering compression ratio, injection timing, and injection duration on the performance of a diesel engine fuelled with diesel-biodiesel-butanol blend

Using renewable fuels for diesel engines can reduce both air pollution and dependence on fossil fuels.A computer simulation was constructed to predict the performance,combustion characteristics,and NOx emissions of a diesel engine fuelled with diesel-biodiesel-butanol *** simulation was validated by comparing the modelling results against experimental data and a good agreement between the results was *** fuels used for the validation were diesel(B0),biodiesel(B100),diesel-biodiesel blend(B50),and two diesel-biodiesel-butanol blends with 45%diesel-45%biodiesel-10%butanol(Bu10)and 40%diesel-40%biodiesel-20%butanol(Bu20)by *** results showed that the addition of butanol reduced NOx emissions but deteriorated the engine *** aim of the current work was the numerical optimization of the different parameters to enhance the engine performance while using butanol to decrease NOx *** engine compression ratio(CR)varied from 14 to 24,in increments of *** injection timing(IT)was reduced from 30°before top dead centre(bTDC)to 5°bTDC in increments of 5°.Also,the fuel injection duration(IDur)was extended from 20°to 50°in increments of 10°.Results showed that the increase in the CR improved engine performance for the two investigated fuels,Bu10 and *** maximum engine brake power(BP),thermal efficiency(BTE),and minimum brake-specific fuel consumption(BSFC)of 1.46 kW,32.3%,and 0.273 kg/kWh respectively,were obtained when the Bu10 fuel was injected under the optimum conditions of 24 CR,15°bTDC IT,and 40°*** these optimum conditions,the BP,BTE,and BSFC improved by 3%-3.5%for Bu10 and Bu20 fuel blends compared with the base engine conditions of a CR of 22,30°IDur,and 10°bTDC *** heat release rate during the premixed phase increased when the IT was advanced,while the mixing-controlled combustion phase was enhanced when the IT was *** emissions increased with increasing CR,while both an increase in IDur at con

FILTERING CHARACTERISTICS AND EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION OF ONE-DIMENSIONAL PERIODIC RODS

Passive periodic structures exhibit unique dynamic characteristics that make the passive periodic structures act as mechanical filters for wave propagation. As a result, wave can propagate along the periodic structures only within specific frequency bands called the pass bands and wave propagation is completely blocked within other frequency bands called the “stop bands”. A theoretical method based on the transfer matrix formulation is developed in order to effectively investigate the influence of periodicity, variable geometry and material properties on the wave propagation characteristics of one-dimensional periodic rod. Several numerical examples are presented in order to illustrate their unique tunable filtering and localization characteristics. The experiments are conducted to verify the numerical predictions and to demonstrate the capability of the wavelet transform as a very powerful tool to uniquely identify and compare the energy distribution both in the time and frequency domain. The flexibility that the spectral width and location of the pass and stop bands can be tuned by introducing intentional variation in geometric and material properties for the individual substructure or cell is identified completely by both numerical predictions and experimental results. The results demonstrate the potential of such one-dimensional periodic structure in controlling the dynamics of wave propagation as a mechanical filter such as engine mount, gearbox support strut and other applications.

The core reactions for fuel cells,rechargeable metal-air batteries,and hydrogen fuel production are the oxygen reduction reaction(ORR),oxygen evolution reaction(OER),and hydrogen evolution reaction(HER),which are heavily dependent on the efficiency of *** attempts have previously been devoted in non-noble electrocatalysts born out of metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)for ORR,OER,and HER applications,due to the following advantageous reasons:(i)The significant porosity eases the electrolyte diffusion;(ii)the supreme catalyst-electrolyte contact area enhances the diffusion efficiency;and(iii)the electronic conductivity can be extensively increased owing to the unique construction block subunits for MOFs-derived ***,the recent progress of MOFs-derived electrocatalysts including synthesis protocols,design engineering,DFT calculations roles,and energy applications is discussed and *** can be concluded that the elevated ORR,OER,and HER performances are attributed to an advantageously well-designed high-porosity structure,significant surface area,and plentiful active ***,the perspectives of MOF-derived electrocatalysts for the ORR,OER,and HER are presented.

The use of point load test for Dubai weak calcareous sandstones

Intact rock is typically described according to its uniaxial compressive strength （UCS）. The UCS is needed in the design of geotechnical engineering problems including stability of rock slopes and design of shallow and deep foundations resting on and/or in rocks. Accordingly, a correct measure-ment/evaluation of the UCS is essential to a safe and economic design. Typically, the UCS is measured using the unconfined compression tests performed on cylindrical intact specimens with a minimum length to width ratio of 2. In several cases, especially for weak and very weak rocks, it is not possible to extract intact specimens with the needed minimum dimensions. Thus, alternative tests （e.g. point load test, Schmidt hammer） are used to measure rock strength. The UCS is computed based on the results of these tests through empirical correlations. The literature includes a plethora of these correlations that vary widely in estimating rock strength. Thus, it is paramount to validate these correlations to check their suitability for estimating rock strength for a specific location and geology. A review of the available correlations used to estimate the UCS from the point load test results is performed and summarized herein. Results of UCS, point load strength index and Young＇s modulus are gathered for calcareous sandstone specimens extracted from the Dubai area. A correlation for estimating the UCS from the point load strength index is proposed. Furthermore, the Young＇s modulus is correlated to the UCS.
