Th. synth.sis and ch.racterization of new series of liquid crystals containing ch.lesteryl moiety connected via an ester linkage to 1,3,4-oxadiazole are reported. Th. molecular structures of th. intermediates and target compounds were confirmed by elemental analyses and FT-IR, ^1h.NMR and mass spectrometry. Th. mesomorph.c beh.viors were investigated by polarizing optical microscopy （POM） attach.d with.h.t stage and differential scanning calorimetry （DSC）. Enantiotropic smectic 1, smectic A, blue ph.se and ch.lesteric mesoph.ses are exh.bited by th. newly synth.sized compounds.

Random Forest algorith. is th. best-performing algorith. with.such.mobile malware with.detection rates of around 99%.We compared our results from th.s work and found th.t th.y are aligned well with.our previous *** also compared our work with.State-of-th.-Art works of oth.rs and found th.t th. results are very close and competitive.

Nano-and micro-particles are being increasingly used to tune interfacial frictional properties in diverse applications,from friction modifiers in industrial lubrication to enh.nced biological fluids in h.man osteoarth.itic ***,we assessed th. tribological properties of a simulated synovial fluid enrich.d with.non-sph.rical,poly lactic-co-glycolic acid(PLGA)microparticles(μPL)th.t h.ve been previously demonstrated for th. ph.rmacological management of osteoarth.itis(OA).Th.ee different μPL configurations were fabricated presenting a 20μm×20μm square base and a th.ckness of 5μm(th.n,5h.μPL),10μm(10h.μPL),and 20μm(cubical,20h.μPL).After extensive morph.logical and ph.sicoch.mical ch.racterizations,th. apparent Young’s modulus of th. μPL was quantified under compressive loading returning an average value of~6 kPa,independently of th. particle ***,using a linear two-axis tribometer,th. static(μ_(s))and dynamic(μ_(d))friction coefficients of th. μPL-enrich.d simulated synovial fluid were determined in terms of particle configuration and concentration,varying from 0(fluid only)to 6×10^(5) μPL/*** particle morph.logy h.d a modest influence on friction,possibly because th. μPL were fully squeezed between two mating surfaces by a 5.8 N normal load realizing boundary-like lubrication ***,friction was observed to depend on th. dimensionless parameterW,defined as th. ratio between th. total volume of th. μPL enrich.ng th. simulated synovial fluid and th. volume of th. fluid *** coefficients of friction were documented to grow with.reach.ng a plateau of μ_(s)~0.4 and μ_(d)~0.15,already at Ω~2×10^(-3).Future investigations will h.ve to systematically analyze th. effect of sliding velocity,normal load,and rigidity of th. mating surfaces to elucidate in full th. tribological beh.vior of μPL in th. context of osteoarth.itis.

Th. safety of veh.cle travel relies on good stability performance, making veh.cle motion control a vital tech.ology in veh.cles. Th.s paper focuses on investigating th. impact of roll control on veh.cle performance, particularly in terms of avoiding rollover and ensuring lateral stability. By introducing a feedback roll moment, th. roll motion can be effectively controlled. Th. paper considers two roll reference generators: A static one aimed at zero roll, and a dynamic one based on th. veh.cle's lateral acceleration. Th. static roll reference generator enh.nces stability by employing a fixed reference, particularly beneficial during routine driving conditions. In contrast, th. dynamic roll reference generator continually adapts th. roll angle reference in response to real-time veh.cle dynamics and driving conditions. Th.se proposed reference generators can be paired with.varying suspension systems — Static reference could be ach.eved using semi-active suspensions, wh.le th. dynamic one is integrated into advanced active suspension systems, offering h.igh.ened adaptability and *** address th. roll control objectives, th.s paper proposes a novel sum of squares(SOS) integral polynomial tracking control. Th. proposed controller satisfies control bounds and considers control constraints during th. design ph.se. Th. effectiveness and robustness of th. proposed control sch.me are evaluated th.ough.numerical simulations using a full veh.cle nonlinear model in Matlab/Simulink. Th. results of th.se simulations are compared to super-twisting sliding mode and Lyapunov-based controllers.

h.perparameter tuning is a key step in developing h.gh.performing mach.ne learning models, but search.ng large h.perparameter spaces requires extensive computation using standard sequential meth.ds. Th.s work analyzes th. performance gains from parallel versus sequential h.perparameter optimization. Using scikit-learn’s Randomized Search.V, th.s project tuned a Random Forest classifier for fake news detection via randomized grid search. Setting n_jobs to -1 enabled full parallelization across CPU cores. Results sh.w th. parallel implementation ach.eved over 5× faster CPU times and 3× faster total run times compared to sequential tuning. h.wever, test accuracy sligh.ly dropped from 99.26% sequentially to 99.15% with.parallelism, indicating a trade-off between evaluation efficiency and model performance. Still, th. significant computational gains allow more extensive h.perparameter exploration with.n reasonable timeframes, outweigh.ng th. small accuracy decrease. Furth.r analysis could better quantify th.s trade-off across different models, tuning tech.iques, tasks, and h.rdware.
