To check the dose uniformity and to determine the efficiency of medical devices sterilization by gamma irradiation after three half lives of the source, calculations of the absorbed dose were carried out. Monte Carlo simulations and dosimetry measurements, were established to study the radiation processing quality control. An isodose chart was created by GEANT4 Monte Carlo code to evaluate the absorbed dose rate uniformity inside the irradiation room from the year of the installation until the year of the source reload. The dose uniformity ratio(DUR) is deduced from maximum and minimum experimental doses in medical devices after three half lives of the source.

Nowadays,noise pollution is *** has become an outstanding problem in urban life as it affects people’s heath both physically and *** pollution can cause hypertension,high stress levels,tinnitus,hearing loss,sleep disturbance,and its effects on human health are the hot topics in the recent environment studies ***,it is generally difficult for ordinary people to access real-time noise level information because the means for that are very limited;they can know their environment noise only through major facilities such as noise level display board or noise measuring *** more option to know the surrounding noise is by using sound level ***,measuring noise level by network distribution and fixed point are so traditional ways for public and can no longer satisfy people’s *** the population of smartphones and possibility of noise monitoring based on crowd sensing,being equipped with a high-quality microphone,a smartphone can potentially serve as a handy noise level *** implemented a prototype called NoiseCo,and we solve in this paper two problems in measuring noise by ***,how can we calibrate the difference between smartphones and the stranded noise measuring ***,how can we calibrate the difference between different smartphones? Through experiments,we can observe such a linear relationship between the collected data by smartphone and the one collected by stranded noise measuring tool,and after combining A-weighting and smoothing,we are able to calibrate the smartphone after fitting it so that the result is so closed to the stranded tools’ ***,we solve the difference between smartphones of different models by calibrating each model manually to get the parameters based on the same sound source condition.

Because of heat amount is different from peripheral to central of friction welding interface, which is leaded to vary the characterizations along that interface. Current study, respectively, focused on the effect of different friction pressure on micro-structural and mechanical properties of that friction welding joint interface. Presently, these friction pressures are 110, 130, 150 and 170 MPa while kept all other conditions constant. The effects of different friction pressure on welding interface characterization were investigated by EDX, SEM, tensile, compression, impact and hardness tests. The tensile tests carried out on the standardized test piece with diameter 6 mm and 8 mm, thus, compression tests were extracted from the positions of 0°, 45°& 90° with test specimen of 4 mm diameter and 6.5 mm length at weld center. Whereas, the impact test pieces were picked up in two positions, the first one is symmetrical, which it obtained to the respect of the rotation axis and the interface, on the other hand, the second one is non-symmetrical with the axis of rotation and symmetrical to the interface, for making the notch head coincide with the center of the welded joint, The obtained results showed that with reducing of friction pressure will present lack of bonding increasing from peripheral toward the welding center, which will responsible on reducing of the mechanical properties such as tensile, compression and impact strength.

Objective Assessing central venous catheter-related complications with regular feedback and investigating risk factors are mandatory to enhance *** aim of this study is to assess our experience in the management of pediatric subclavian vein catheters(SVCs)and to investigate the main risk factors for *** In this prospective observational study,we included children aged 3 months to 14 years who underwent infraclavicular subclavian vein catheterization consecutively using the anatomic landmark *** were divided into two groups:group 1 included complicated catheters and group 2 included noncomplicated *** management protocol was standardized for all *** comparing the two groups,univariate and multivariate logistic regression were used to investigate the risk factors for *** In this study,we included 134 pediatric *** rate of complications was 32.8%.The main complications were central line-associated bloodstream infection(63.6%),bleeding and/or hematoma(22.7%),mechanical complications(13.6%),and vein thrombosis(13.6%).After adjustment for confounding factors,predictors of catheter-related complications were difficult insertion procedure(adjusted odds ratio(aOR)=9.4;95%confidential interval(CI):2.32 to 38.4),thrombocytopenia(aOR=4.43;95%CI:1.16 to 16.86),comorbidities(aOR=2.93;95%CI:0.58 to 14.7),and neutropenia(aOR=5.45;95%CI:2.29 to 13.0).Conclusions High rates of complications were associated with difficult catheter placement and patients with comorbidities and severe *** reduce catheter-related morbidity,we suggest an ultrasoundguided approach,a multidisciplinary teaching program to improve nursing skills,and the use of less invasive devices for patients with cancer.

Objectives Anesthesia for children with an upper respiratory tract infection(URI)has an increased risk of perioperative respiratory adverse events(PRAEs)that may be predicted according to the COLDS *** aims of this study were to evaluate the validity of the COLDS score in children undergoing ilioinguinal ambulatory surgery with mild to moderate URI and to investigate new predictors of *** This was a prospective observational study including children aged 1-5 years with mild to moderate symptoms of URI who were proposed for ambulatory ilioinguinal *** anesthesia protocol was *** were divided into two groups according to the incidence of *** logistic regression was performed to assess predictors for *** In this observational study,216 children were *** incidence of PRAEs was 21%.Predictors of PRAEs were respiratory comorbidities(adjusted OR(aOR)=6.3,95%CI 1.19 to 33.2;p=0.003),patients postponed before 15 days(aOR=4.3,95%CI 0.83 to 22.4;p=0.029),passive smoking(aOR=5.31,95%CI 2.07 to 13.6;p=0.001),and COLDS score of>10(aOR=3.7,95%CI 0.2 to 53.4;p=0.036).Conclusions Even in ambulatory surgery,the COLDS score was effective in predicting the risks of *** smoking and previous comorbidities were the main predictors of PRAEs in our *** seems that children with severe URI should be postponed to receive surgery for more than 15 days.

This study presents a novel and innovative approach to auto-matically translating Arabic Sign Language(ATSL)into spoken *** proposed solution utilizes a deep learning-based classification approach and the transfer learning technique to retrain 12 image recognition *** image-based translation method maps sign language gestures to corre-sponding letters or words using distance measures and classification as a machine learning *** results show that the proposed model is more accurate and faster than traditional image-based models in classifying Arabic-language signs,with a translation accuracy of 93.7%.This research makes a significant contribution to the field of *** offers a practical solution for improving communication for individuals with special needs,such as the deaf and mute *** work demonstrates the potential of deep learning techniques in translating sign language into natural language and highlights the importance of ATSL in facilitating communication for individuals with disabilities.

Kiwifruit(Actinidia deliciosa)‘Bruno’is prone to accumulate ethanol rapidly after respiratory climacteric during storage at ambient conditions without stresses,which causes quality deterioration of the fruit associated with alcohol *** maintaining the postharvest quality of kiwifruit‘Bruno’,the effects of 1.0μL•L^−11-methylcyclopropene(1-MCP)treatment on regulating the ethanol fermentation andγ-aminobutyric acid(GABA)shunt pathway associated with control of alcohol off-flavor were investigated during storage at room temperature(24±1)°C for 27 *** results showed that 1-MCP treatment significantly reduced the respiration rate,ethylene production,decay rate,ascorbic acid(AsA)loss,and delayed the decline in the firmness and titratable acidity(TA),and the increase in total soluble solid(TSS)in ***,1-MCP treatment effectively inhibited the increases in contents of acetaldehyde,ethanol,and GABA along with the suppressed activities of key enzymes involved in ethanol fermentation and GABA shunt pathway,such as pyruvate decarboxylase(PDC),alcohol dehydrogenase(ADH),glutamate decarboxylase(GAD),and GABA-transaminase(GABA-T)in kiwifruit during *** conclusion,1-MCP treatment efficiently regulated the ethanol fermentation and GABA shunt pathway by delaying the ripening process to avoid the alcohol off-flavor development,thereby contributed to maintaining the quality of the kiwifruit.
