Suitability of S-Glass/carbon fiber reinforced polymer composite for submarine hull subjected to hydrostatic pressure has been investigated in the present *** materials have raised concerns owing to their decomposition due to low resistance towards salinity and hence polymer composites have been explored to showcase their mechanical stability to withstand transverse and impact *** this end,the mechanical properties of S-Glass/carbon fiber reinforced polymer composite were experimentally investigated and higher specific strength and stiffness of the composite in comparison to many metallic materials used for submarine hull were *** obtained experimental values were used for the static and dynamic crash analysis of the bow,stern and foil through Finite Element Analysis(FEA);where depth of travel was varied from sea surface level of 0-7000 *** assembly was later developed with the optimum shape and thickness of each *** also report the nonlinear crash analysis upon impact at velocity ranging from 3 to 21 m/***,kinetic energy,acceleration peak and internal energy in struck submarine revealed that travel depth 1750 m and 3500 m is recommendable,more particularly,crash safety factor of the submarine is found to be within limit when submarine encounters crash at 1750 m.

Primary sclerosing cholangitis(PSC)is an orphan,cholestatic liver disease that is characterized by inflammatory biliary strictures with variable progression to end-stage liver *** pathophysiology is poorly *** biliary inflammation is likely driven by immune dysregulation,gut dysbiosis,and environmental exposures resulting in gutliver crosstalk and bile acid metabolism *** is no proven medical therapy that alters disease progression in PSC,with the commonly prescribed ursodeoxycholic acid being shown to improve liver biochemistry at low-moderate doses(15–23 mg/kg/day)but not alter transplant-free survival or liver-related *** transplantation is the only option for patients who develop end-stage liver disease or refractory complications of *** and antifibrotic agents have not proven to be effective,but there is promise for manipulation of the gut microbiome with fecal microbiota transplantation and *** acid manipulation via alternate synthetic bile acids such as norursodeoxycholic acid,or interaction at a transcriptional level via nuclear receptor agonists and fibrates have shown potential in phase II trials in PSC with several leading to larger phase III *** view of the enhanced malignancy risk,statins,and aspirin show potential for reducing the risk of colorectal cancer and cholangiocarcinoma in PSC *** patients who develop clinically relevant strictures with cholestatic symptoms and worsening liver function,balloon dilatation is safer compared with biliary stent insertion with equivalent clinical efficacy.

Thermal stability of nanocrystalline al-10wt.%Fe-5wt.%Cr bulk alloy was *** initial micro-grained mixture of powders was processed for 100 h using mechanical alloying(MA)to produce nano-grained *** processed powders were sintered using high frequency induction heat sintering(HFIHS).The microstructures of the processed alloy in the form of powders and bulk samples were investigated using XRD,FESEM and *** and compression tests were conducted on the bulk samples for evaluating their mechanical *** evaluate the thermal stability of the bulk samples,they were experimented at 573,623,673 and 723 K under compression load at strain rates of 1×10^-1 and 1×10^-2 s^-*** annealed samples exhibited a significant increase in their microhardness value of 2.65 GPa when being annealed at 723 K,as compared to 2.25 GPa of the as-sintered *** bulk alloy revealed compressive strengths of 520 MPa and 450 MPa at 300 K and 723 K,respectively,when applying a strain rate of 1×10^-1 s^-*** microstructural stability of the bulk alloy was ascribed to the formation of iron and chromium containing phases with al such as al6Fe,al13Fe4 and al13Cr2,in addition to the supersaturated solid solution(SSSS)of Cr and Fe in al matrix.

Objective: To determine whether resveratrol(Res) can correct osteoporosis induced in a rat model of male hypogonadism. Methods: Thirty-two rats were randomly divided into 4 groups, 8 in each group;1) a control sham group: underwent a similar surgical procedure for induction of orchiectomy(ORCD) without ligation of any arteries or veins or removal of the testis and epididymis;2) a control + Res-treated group(Con+Res):underwent sham surgery similar to the control, but was then treated with Res, as described below;3) an ORCDinduced group: bilateral ORCD surgery as described above, and 4) a ORCD+Res-treated group: bilateral ORCD surgery followed by Res treatment. Res treatment began 4 weeks after ORCD and continued for 12 weeks. After 12 weeks, bone mineral density(BMD) and bone mineral content(BMC) were measured in the tibia and femur of each rat’s right hind leg. Blood levels of bone turnover indicators such as deoxypyridinoline(Dpd), N-telopeptide of type Ⅰ collagen(NTXⅠ), alkaline phosphatase(alP), and osteocalcin(OC), as well as receptor activator of nuclear factor kappa B(RANK) and osteoprotegerin(OPG) were assessed. Results: ORCD significantly decreased BMD(Pale hypogonadism, possible via restoration of the normal balance between RANK and OPG.

In recent years,a lot of research has been done on silver nanoparticles(SNP)due to their numerous applications in the biomedical,pharmaceutical,and drug delivery *** this present study SNP were green synthesized using Melicope lunu-ankenda(***-ankenda)leaf *** addition of AgNO3 causes a color change.L-arginine addition results in further colour changes confirming conjugation.A UV–Vis spectrophotometric examination showed that the absorption peak for SNP was 435 nm,while the peak for L-arginine SNP(cSNP)was 422 *** analysis confirmed the association of amides and amines with *** spherical nature of the silver was disclosed by SEM,and its elemental character is verified by *** thermal stability of the nanoparticles is determined by TGA analysis,while TEM examination verifies their spherical *** the MTT assay,these cSNP exhibited outstanding toxicity analysis(IC5038.72μg/ml)against MDA-MB-231 *** cSNP causes damage to the mitochondria(JC1 staining),which causes oxidative stress and the production of ROS with 83%of DCF expression in cancer ***,as demonstrated by the Comet assay and DAPI,these cSNP cause good DNA damage in the treated ***,using flow cytometry,cSNPs potentially trigger apoptosis by triggering the expression of caspase 3 and caspase 8 ***,through CAM,cSNP demonstrated strong anti-angiogenesis activity by reducing the number of blood vessel *** findings suggest that cSNP may be crucial for drug delivery and cancer treatment.

The advantages of the demand control ventilation system(DCV)have been widely discussed in previous research ***,the literature has not addressed the benefits of DCV on controlling indoor CO_(2)concentration and minimizing cooling energy consumption for school buildings located in extremely hot ***,this paper contributes to the development of DCV and mechanical ventilation systems through a comprehensive evaluation of these systems to maintain acceptable indoor air quality(IAQ)while minimizing cooling energy demands for school buildings located in the harsh hot climate of Saudi *** evaluation is based on a calibrated whole-building energy model and validated IAQ predictions using field data obtained from a school case study in *** results of this research study confirm that hourly and sub-hourly monitoring of indoor CO_(2)concentration is required to ensure optimal design and operation of the ventilation systems in *** addition,the analyses indicate that a 13%increase in cooling energy end-use can result for any additional 0.1 students/m^(2)density increase in the ***,the energy penalties related to ventilation needs can be reduced by up to 25%using DCV instead of conventional mechanical ventilation systems for school buildings located in Saudi Arabia’s hot climate.

This work presents a memetic Shuffled Frog Leaping algorithm(SFLA)based tuning approach of an Integral Sliding Mode Controller(ISMC)for a quadrotor type of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(UAV).Based on the Newton–Euler formalism,a nonlinear dynamic model of the studied quadrotor is firstly established for control design *** the main parameters of the ISMC design are the gains of the sliding surfaces and signum functions of the switching control law,which are usually selected by repetitive and time-consuming trials-errors based procedures,a constrained optimization problem is formulated for the systematically tuning of these unknown *** time-domain operating constraints,such an optimization-based tuning problem is effectively solved using the proposed SFLA metaheuristic with an empirical comparison to other evolutionary computation-and swarm intelligence-based algorithms such as the Crow Search algorithm(CSA),Fractional Particle Swarm Optimization Memetic algorithm(FPSOMA),Ant Bee Colony(ABC)and Harmony Search algorithm(HSA).Numerical experiments are carried out for various sets of algorithms’parameters to achieve optimal gains of the sliding mode controllers for the altitude and attitude dynamics *** studies revealed that the SFLA is a competitive and easily implemented algorithm with high performance in terms of robustness and non-premature *** results verified that the proposed metaheuristicsbased approach is a promising alternative for the systematic tuning of the effective design parameters in the integral sliding mode control framework.

Objective:To green synthesize and characterize copper nanoparticles(Cu NPs)using Astragalus sinicus,as well as evaluate the acaricidal,larvacidal,and repellent activities of Cu NPs against Hyalomma anatolicum(***),one of the most prevalent ticks infesting cattle in Saudi ***:Cu NPs were green synthesized by adding the Astragalus sinicus extract to a copper sulfate *** acaricidal,larvicidal,and repellent activities of Cu NPs against *** were assessed via the adult immersion test,the larval packet test,and the vertical movement behavior of tick larvae,*** effects of Cu NPs on acetylcholinesterase as well as oxidative enzyme activities were ***:The green synthesized Cu NPs displayed a spherical form with a size range of 15-75 *** exposure of adult *** to different concentrations of Cu NPs,the viability rate of adult *** and the mean number,weight,and hatchability of eggs were noticeably reduced,in comparison to the control group(Palues of 11.30 and 20.34μg/m L,*** maximum repellent activity of Cu NPs was observed at 50,100,and 200μg/m L with complete repellent activity after 60,120,and 180 min of exposure,*** NPs,mainly at 1/2 LC_(50)and LC_(50)concentrations,markedly suppressed the acetylcholinesterase activity of the larval stage of ***(Palondialdehyde level while declining glutathione-S-transferase level in *** larvae(Pal,larvicidal,and repellent activities against adults and larvae of ***,further studies must be performed to clarify the precise mechanisms and the efficacy of Cu NPs in practical use.
