We propose a mathematical model of the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)to investigate the transmission and control mechanism of the disease in the community of *** stability theory of differential equations,the qualitative behavior of model is *** pandemic indicator represented by basic reproductive number R0 is obtained from the largest eigenvalue of the next-generation *** as well as global asymptotic stability conditions for the disease-free and pandemic equilibrium are obtained which determines the conditions to stabilize the exponential spread of the ***,we examined this model by using Atangana–Baleanu fractional derivative operator and existence criteria of solution for the operator is *** consider the data of reported infection cases from April 1,2020,till April 30,2020,and parameterized the *** have used one of the reliable and efficient method known as iterative Laplace transform to obtain numerical *** impacts of various biological parameters on transmission dynamics of COVID-19 is *** results are based on different values of the fractional parameter and serve as a control parameter to identify the significant strategies for the control of the *** the end,the obtained results are demonstrated graphically to justify our theoretical findings.

Fine sand and Clay sediment Acoustic Properties of the Novel sediment sample from the Arabian sea:Experimental Investigations and Biot−stoll Model Validation

The present study explores the physical and acoustic characteristics of fine sand and clay in novel seabed marine sediments from of Pakistan coastline of the Arabian *** measured physical parameters included mean grain size,mass density,bulk density,salinity,porosity,permeability,pore size and mineralogical *** properties,including sound speed and attenuation,in the high frequency range of 90-170 kHz were analyzed.A controlled laboratory setup with the acoustic transmission method and Fourier transform techniques was utilized to examine the sound propagation and absorption of novel seabed *** standard deviation of mean sound speed in fresh water was 0.75 m/s,and attenuation was observed in the range of 0.43 to 0.61 dB/*** mean sound velocity in sand and clay varied from 1706 to 1709 m/s and 1602 to 1608 m/s,*** average attenuation was observed at 80 to 93 dB/m in sandy sediments and from 31.8 to 38.6 dB/m in clayey *** velocity variation within sandy sediment is low,consistent with expected results,and smaller than the predicted ***,clay sediment exhibited a positive linear correlation and low sound speed *** increased linearly with frequency for both ***,the laboratory results were validated by using the Biot−stoll *** dispersion of sound speed in sandy and clayey sediments was consistent with the predictions of the Biot−stoll *** attenuation aligned more with Biot−stoll model predictions due to improved permeability,tortuosity and pore size parameter fitting.

Microalgae cultivation in photobioreactors（PBRs） has emerged as a promising and sustainable approach to address various environmental and energy challenges, offering a multitude of benefits across diverse *** developments in microalgae cultivation in photobioreactors have contributed substantially to the development and optimization of sustainable bioprocesses. This review presents a comprehensive analysis of recent innovations and breakthroughs in the field of microalgae cultivation, with a specific focus on their application in photobioreactors, aimed at paving the way for a greener future. This study in-depth examines the advantages of microalgae cultivation in photobioreactors, concentrating on its effectiveness in wastewater treatment, CO2bioremediation, and the production of biofuels and high-value products. The review evaluates the effects of light,solar irradiation, temperature, nitrogen and phosphorus concentrations in culture media, CO2concentrations, and pH on microalgae growth performance, including specific growth and biomass productivity. The study also examines open systems like unstirred ponds, raceway ponds, and circular ponds and closed systems like horizontal tubular, vertical bubble-column, airlift, flat panel, and plastic-bag photobioreactors, comparing their pros and cons. To optimize microalgae cultivation, key factors in photobioreactor design, including photosynthetic efficiencies, light/dark（L/D） cycles, CO2concentrations, mass transfer, hydrodynamics behavior, and p H, are extensively investigated. In addition, the review outlines recent developments in large-scale photobioreactors and highlights the challenges and opportunities associated with photobioreactor scale-up and design parameter optimization, including genetic engineering and economic feasibility. Fuzzy Inventory Model under selling Price Dependent Demand and Variable Deterioration with Fully Backlogged shortages

The objective is to develop a model considering demand dependent on selling price and deterioration occurs after a certain period of time, which follows two-parameter Weibull distribution. shortages are allowed and fully backlogged. Fuzzy optimal solution is obtained by considering hexagonal fuzzy numbers and for defuzzification Graded Mean Integration Representation Method. A numerical example is provided for the illustration of crisp and fuzzy, both models. To observe the effect of changes in parameters, sensitivity analysis is carried out.

BACKGROUND Tourniquets are commonly used in elective extremity orthopaedic surgery to reduce blood loss,improve visualization in the surgical field,and to potentially reduce surgical *** is a lack of consensus in existing guidelines regarding the optimal tourniquet pressure,placement site,and duration of *** is a paucity of data on the relationship between the site of a tourniquet and postoperative pain in foot and ankle *** To explore the relationship between tourniquet site and intensity of post-operative pain scores in patients undergoing elective foot and ankle *** Retrospective analysis of prospectively collected data on 201 patients who underwent foot and ankle surgery in a single institution was *** tourniquet duration,tourniquet pressure and site,and postoperative pain scores using Visual Analogue score were collected in immediate recovery,at six hours and at 24 h *** plots were used to analyse the data and to assess for the statistical correlation between tourniquet pressure,duration,site,and pain scores using Pearson correlation *** All patients who underwent foot and ankle surgery had tourniquet pressure of 250 mmHg for ankle tourniquet and 300 mmHg for *** was no correlation between the site of the tourniquet and pain scores in recovery,at six hours and after 24 *** was a weak correlation between tourniquet time and Visual Analogue score immediately post-op(r=0.14,P=0.04)but not at six or 24 h *** This study shows that there was no statistically significant correlation between tourniquet pressure,site and postop pain in patients undergoing foot and ankle *** choice of using a tourniquet is based on the surgeon's preference,with the goal of minimizing the duration of its application at the operative site.

Outcomes of gout in patients with cirrhosis:A national inpatient sample-based study

BACKGROUND Hyperuricemia is a prerequisite for the development of *** serum uric acid(UA)levels result from either overproduction or decreased excretion.A positive correlation between serum UA levels,cirrhosis-related complications and the incidence of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease has been established,but it is unknown whether hyperuricemia results in worsening cirrhosis *** hypothesize that patients with cirrhosis will have poorer gout *** To explore the link between cirrhosis and the incidence of gout-related *** This was a cross-sectional *** national inpatient sample was used to identify patients hospitalized with gout,stratified based on a history of cirrhosis,from 2001 to 2013 via the International Classification of Diseases,Ninth Revision,Clinical Modification *** outcomes were mortality,gout complications and joint ***χ^(2)test and independent t-test were performed to assess categorical and continuous data,*** logistic regression was used to control for confounding *** Patients without cirrhosis were older(70.37±13.53 years vs 66.21±12.325 years;Pst patients were male(74.63%in the cirrhosis group vs 66.83%;adjusted Ps with cirrhosis had greater rates of mortality(5.49%vs 2.03%;adjusted Ps 2.77%;adjusted Ps 0.75%;adjusted P=0.677).Patients without cirrhosis had higher rates of arthrocentesis(2.45%vs 2.21%;adjusted Ps(0.72%vs 0.52%;adjusted PsION Gout complications were more common in *** without cirrhosis had higher rates of interventions,possibly due to hesitancy with performing these interventions given the higher complication risk in cirrhosis.
