The Nain ophiolite complex with an extent of[600 km2 is a part of the Central Iranian ophiolite,which is related to the opening and subsequent closure of the Neo-Tethys *** and serpentinized harzburgite in the Nain area host podiform chromitites that occur as three(eastern Hajhossein,western Hajhossein,and Soheil Pakuh)schlieren-type tabular and aligned massive lenses with various *** most common chromitite ore textures are massive,nodular,disseminated,and banded,reflecting crystal settling *** Cr#[Cr/(Cr+Al)]ranges from 0.43 to 0.81(average 0.63).The Mg#[Mg/(Mg+Fe2+)]varies from 0.25 to 0.78(average0.62).The Nain ophiolite and hosted chromitite are generally characterized by high Cr#,reflecting crystallization from a very hot boninite magma in a MORB *** high Cr#in the Nain chromitite also indicates a high degree of melting(15%–35%)of the depleted *** average total PGE content in the ophiolitic host rock(harzburgite and dunite)and chromite are 107 and 221 ppb,*** Nain ophiolite and chromitite have high IPGE/PPGE and negative Pt*(Pt/Pt*=0.6)anomaly,which is a characteristic of high Cr#*** U-shaped REE pattern of dunite host rock suggests the interaction of depleted mantle peridotite with boninitic *** data suggest that the Nain chromitites are related to the boninitic magma emplacement in a suprasubduction zone.

Viscous damping is a dominant source of energy dissipation in laterally oscillating micro-structures. In microresonators in which the characteristic dimensions are comparable to the dimensions of the fluid molecules, the assumption of the continuum fluid theory is no longer justified and the use of micro-polar fluid theory is indispensable. In this paper a mathematical model was presented in order to predict the viscous fluid damping in a laterally oscillating finger of a micro-resonator considering micro-polar fluid theory. The coupled governing partial differential equations of motion for the vibration of the finger and the micro-polar fluid field have been derived. Considering spin and no-spin boundary conditions, the related shape functions for the fluid field were presented. The obtained governing differential equations with time varying boundary conditions have been transformed to an enhanced form with homogenous boundary conditions and have been discretized using a Galerkin-based reduced order model. The effects of physical properties of the micro-polar fluid and geometrical parameters of the oscillating structure on the damping ratio of the system have been investigated.

The fabrication of copper （Cu） and copper matrix silicon carbide （Cu/SiCp） particulate composites via the sinter-forging process was investigated. Sintering and sinter-forging processes were performed under an inert Ar atmosphere. The influence of sinter-forging time, temperature, and compressive stress on the relative density and hardness of the prepared samples was systematically investigated and subsequently compared with that of the samples prepared by the conventional sintering process. The relative density and hardness of the composites were enhanced when they were prepared by the sinter-forging process. The relative density values of all Cu/SiCp composite samples were observed to decrease with the increase in SiC content.

Leaching of an oxidized copper ore containing malachite, as a new approach, was investigated by an organic reagent, citric acid. Sulfuric acid is the most common reagent in the leaching of oxide copper ores, but it has several side effects such as severe adverse impact on the environment. In this investigation, the effects of particle size, acid concentration, leaching time, solid/liquid ratio, temperature, and stirring speed were optimized. According to the experimental results, malachite leaching by citric acid was technically feasible. Optimum leaching conditions were found as follows： the range of particle size, 105-150 μm; acid concentration, 0.2 M; leaching time, 30 min; solid/liquid ratio, 1：20 g/mL; temperature, 40℃; and stirring speed, 200 r/min. Under the optimum conditions, 91.61% of copper was extracted.

Objective:To investigate the association between the cluster of differentiation 14(CD14)-I59C/T(rs2569190) gene polymorphism and susceptibility to acute brucellosis in an Iranian ***:The study included 153 Iranian patients with active brucellosis and 128 healthy individuals as the control *** of the CD 14 variant was performed using an amplification refractory mutation system-polymerase chain reaction ***:The prevalence of CD14-159 TT and CT genotypes were associated with increased risk of brucellosis[odds ratio(OR)=l.993.95%confidence interval(95%CD=1.07-3.71.P=0.03 for CT:OR=3.869.95%CI= 1.91-7.84,P=0.01 for TT ***,the minor allele(T) was significantly more frequently present in brucellosis patients than in controls(61%vs.45%.respectively),and was a risk factor for brucellosis(OR=3.058.95%CI= 1.507-6.315.P=0.01).Condusions:The findings provid suggestive evidence of association of the CDI4-159C/T gene polymorphism with susceptibility to acute brucellosis in the Iranian population.

Bioleaching is an environmentally friendly method for extraction of metal from ores. In this study, bioleaching of copper oxide ore by Pseudomonas aeruginosa was investigated. Pseudomonas aeruginosa is a heterotrophic bactermm that can produce various organic acids in an appropriate culture medium, and these acids can operate as leaching agents. The parameters, such as particle size, glucose percentage in the culture medium, bioleaching time, and solid/liquid ratio were optimized. Optimum bioleaching conditions were found as follows： particle size of 150-177 μm, glucose percentage of 6%, bioleaching time of 8 d, and solid/liquid ratio of 1：80. Under these conditions, 53% of copper was extracted.
