Piezoelectric atomizer in aeroponic systems:A study of some fluid properties and optimization of operational parameters

The piezoelectric method to atomize fluids in aeroponic systems is known as a new *** the current study,the effects of four independent variables on the misting rate were *** variables were Dosage of Chemical Fertilizer(DCF),the Height of solution above Piezoelectric Ceramic(HsPC),Piezoelectric Location at the Bottom of the Container(PLBC),and the Container Geometry(CG).Physical properties such as fluid density,viscosity,surface tension,Total Dissolved solids(TDs),and Electrical Conductivity(EC)of the solutions were ***,optimization was performed to determine suitable ranges of independent variables to get the optimum value of the misting *** showed that the HsPC,PLBC,and CG significantly affect the total misting rate(Psides,the DCF,HsPC,and CG have significant effects on surface evaporation at a probability level of 1%.At the temperature of 25℃and for different concentrations of fertilizer,the density,viscosity,surface tension,TDs,and EC varied between 1002-1006.5 kg/m^(3),1.009-1.395 mPas,0.07182-0.07298 N/m,253-3397 mg/L,502-6795 ms/cm,*** misting rate ranged between 0.499 and 5.720 g/*** the outlet of the mist generation container,mass flow rate was in the range of 59.895 to 65.116 g/***,theoretically calculated mist average droplet size was in the range of 2.90 to 2.92 mm for different fertilizer *** present study is the first research on the factors affecting the ultrasonic mist production rate in an aeroponic *** future developments,effect of voltage,frequency,and using horn should be ***,similar research should be done in the field of gas-phase bioreactors(mist bioreactors).

Flow injection spectrophotometric determination of vitamin E in pharmaceuticals,milk powder and blood serum using potassium ferricyanide-Fe(Ⅲ) detection system

A simple and sensitive flow injection spectrophotometric method is reported for the determination of vitamin E using potassium ferricyanide-Fe(Ⅲ) detection *** the presence of vitamin E,Fe(Ⅲ)/ferricyanide *** in situ reduced ions are then reacted with unreduced portion of ferricyanide/Fe(Ⅲ) to make soluble Prussian blue,which is monitored at absorption wavelength of 735 *** calibration graph was obtained in the concentration range of 0.1-40μg mL^(-1).The relative standard deviations (n=4) were in the range of 1.1-3.6%,with limits of detection(3 s blank) of 0.04μg mL^(-1).The proposed method allowed 12 injections h^(-1).The method is applied to determine vitamin E in pharmaceuticals,infant milk and blood serum samples using hexane extraction with the recoveries in the range of 93±3 to 97.5±4%.The method is validated using certified reference materials sRM 968c for blood serum samples.

Robust Face Recognition Against Expressions and Partial Occlusions

Facial features under variant-expressions and partial occlusions could have degrading effect on overall face recognition performance. As a solution, we suggest that the contribution of these features on final classification should be determined. In order to represent facial features＇ contribution according to their variations, we propose a feature selection process that describes facial features as local independent component analysis （ICA） features. These local features are acquired using locally lateral subspace （LLs） strategy. Then, through linear discriminant analysis （LDA） we investigate the intraclass and interclass representation of each local ICA feature and express each feature＇s contribution via a weighting process. Using these weights, we define the contribution of each feature at local classifier level. In order to recognize faces under single sample constraint, we implement LLs strategy on locally linear embedding （LLE） along with the proposed feature selection. Additionally, we highlight the efficiency of the implementation of LLs strategy. The overall accuracy achieved by our approach on datasets with different facial expressions and partial occlusions such as AR, JAFFE, FERET and CK% is 90.70%. We present together in this paper survey results on face recognition performance and physiological feature selection performed by human subjects.

A neuro-observer-based optimal control for nonaffine nonlinear systems with control input saturations

In this study,an adaptive neuro-observer-based optimal control(ANOPC)policy is introduced for unknown nonaffine nonlinear systems with control input ***–Jacobi–Bellman(HJB)framework is employed to minimize a non-quadratic cost function corresponding to the constrained control *** consists of both analytical and algebraic *** the analytical part,first,an observer-based neural network(NN)approximates uncertain system dynamics,and then another NN structure solves the HJB *** the algebraic part,the optimal control input that does not exceed the saturation bounds is *** weights of two NNs associated with observer and controller are simultaneously updated in an online *** ultimately uniformly boundedness(UUB)of all signals of the whole closed-loop system is ensured through Lyapunov’s direct ***,two numerical examples are provided to confirm the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy.

Effect of 2-mercaptobenzothiazole concentration on sour-corrosion behavior of API X60 pipeline steel:Electrochemical parameters and adsorption mechanism

We investigated the effect of the 2-mercaptobenzothiazole concentration on the sour-corrosion behavior of API X60 pipeline steel in an environment containing H_(2)s at 25°C and in the presence of 0,2.5,5.0,7.5,and 10.0 g/L of 2-mercaptobenzothiazole *** examine this behavior,we conducted open-circuit potential(OCP),potentiodynamic polarization,and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIs)*** dispersive spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy were also used to analyze the corrosion *** results of the OCP and potentiodynamic polarization tests revealed that 2-mercaptobenzothiazole reduces the s.eed of both the anodic and cathodic *** assessment of the Gibbs free energy of the inhibitor(△G_(ads)^(■))indicated that its value was less than-20 kJ·mol^(-1)and greater than-40 k J·mol^(-1).Therefore,the adsorption of 2-mercaptobenzothiazole onto the surface of the API X60 pipeline steel occurs both physically and chemically,the latter of which is particularly *** addition,as the△G_(ads)^(■)dsvalue was negative,we could conclude that the adsorption of 2-mercaptobenzothiazole onto the surface of the pipeline steel occurs *** EIs results indicate that with the increase in the 2-mercaptobenzothiazole inhibitor concentration,the corrosion resistance of API X60 steel *** analysis of the corrosion products revealed that iron sulfide compounds form on the *** summary,the results showed that an increase in the inhibitor concentration results in a decrease in the corrosion rate and an increase in inhibitory ***,we found that the 2-mercaptobenzothiazole adsorption process on the API X60 steel surfaces in an H2 s-containing environment follows the Langmuir adsorption isotherm and occurs spontaneously.

Introduction of table sugar as a soft second template in ZsM-5 nanocatalyst and its effect on product distribution and catalyst lifetime in methanol to gasoline conversion

Methanol to gasoline reaction was investigated on two prepared ZsM-5 catalysts. The first one was a conventional catalyst denoted as ZsM-5（C） and the other was a hierarchical catalyst-ZsM-5（s） which was prepared by incorporation of table sugar in catalyst gel during the synthesis procedure. The catalysts were characterized by FTIR, XRD, FE-sEM, N2 adsorption-desorption, NH3-TPD and TGA analytical technics. The proposed material showed pore modification as well as acidity moderating properties in ZsM-5 catalyst. The methanol to gasoline reaction was conducted in a fixed bed reactor with a WHsV of 1.5 *** conversions, gasoline yield and selectivity in production for the synthesized catalysts were determined by gas chromatography method. The sugar modified catalyst converted more methanol than the conventional one and an enhancement in catalyst’s life time was observed. The selectivity to aromatics and durene were reduced compared to the conventional catalyst, so the gasoline quality was also further improved. The coking rate of catalysts was calculated employing TGA method. A reduction in coking rate and an increase in coke capacity of the modified catalyst were observed.

Green chemistry is playing an important role for synthesizing organic compounds, due to its eco-friendly nature and low cost. In green chemistry, metal nanoparticles exhibited some useful physical and chemical properties （catalytic activity）. Due to its diverse properties, nanoparticles can be utilized as a catalyst in various organic reactions. Recent research has been directed towards the utilization of eco- friendly and bio-friendly plant materials in nanoparticles synthesis. In our present work, TiO2 nanoparticles （TiO2 NPs） were synthesized using Annona squamosa peel extract and their catalytic applications were studied on the 2,3-disubstituted dihydroquinazolin-4（l1H）-one synthesis. synthesized compounds were confirmed using FT-IR.1H NMR, 13C NMR and GC-Ms analyses.

Malignant cells upregulate distinct energy metabolism programs that support their proliferation,migration,and adaptation to the stressful tumor microenvironment(TME).Additionally,this exaggerated metabolic activity allows cancer cells to hijack essential nutrients and outcompete neighboring infiltrating immune cells,thereby impairing antitumor *** recent years,there has been great interest in the field to understand the tumor-induced energy metabolism signals that regulate the function of immune cells in individuals with ***,it is now well accepted that uncovering the mechanisms that instruct the metabolic behavior of cancer cells and tumor-associated immune cells is an indispensable strategy for the development of new approaches to overcome immune suppression in ***,in this minireview,we briefly discuss the interaction between particular metabolic signaling pathways and immunosuppressive activity in different subsets of myeloid cells within the ***,we illustrate potential central mechanisms controlling the metabolic reprogramming of myeloid cells in response to tumor-derived factors.
