Background:The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of lim.ted-resource hospitals in m.naging m.ld and m.derate hospitalized cases of COVID-19 with com.rbidities and in preventing their progression to severe ***:Data were obtained from.88 m.derate COVID-19 patients with com.rbidities who were adm.tted to lim.tedresource *** data were classified into several parts:com.rbidities,chronic m.dication before hospital adm.ssion,sym.tom. of COVID-19 before and during hospitalization,clinical features,laboratory findings on hospital adm.ssion,com.lications during hospitalization,as well as worst laboratory values during hospitalization,hospital stay,and *** clinical features,laboratory results,type of oxygen therapy used,and the final treatm.nt outcom. were all evaluated to assess for any potential ***:All patients were alive upon *** adm.ssion,the m.jority of patients(60.2%)received COVID-19 treatm.nt,and the average hospital stay was 12 *** m.st com.on sym.tom. were fever(88.7%),cough(95.5%),shortness of breath(90.9%),m.algia(84.1%),confusion(63.6%),headache(62.5%),sore throat(88.7%),rhinorrhea(17%),chest pain(58%),diarrhea(19.3%),nausea and vom.ting(38.6%),anosm.a(62.5%),as well as dysgeusia(64.8%).Based on chest radiograph or com.uted tom.graphy(CT)scan,9.1%of the patients had unilateral pneum.nia,90.9% had bilateral pneum.nia,and 96.6% had m.ltiple m.ttling and ground-glass *** was found associated with a significant increase in headache(p=0.005),rhinorrhea(p=0.013),chest pain(p=0.007),and the need for positive airway pressure(p=0.008).Between pre-and post-hospital adm.ssions,there was a significant increase in lactate dehydrogenase and ferritin but a decrease in platelet,D-dim.r,hem.globin,lym.hocytes,neutrophils,and total leucocyte count(pm.r level(p=0.05).Conclusion:Lim.ted-resource hospitals in Egypt w

Design and Evaluation of a Sensitive, Low Cost and Portable m.llim.ter Wave Survey m.ter

We developed a sm.ll, hand-held, portable, low cost, m.llim.ter wave (m.W) m.ter to detect and display the levels of em.ssions from.L3 ProVision security scanners used in hundreds of airports for detection of contraband and weapons. The m.ter is intended to m.asure radiation em.ssions from.this particular scanner and enable the user to enable periodic quality assurance m.asurem.nts and to see if undesirably high levels were to occur. The non-engineering staff of the Transportation Security Adm.nistration (TSA) can use this m.ter to dem.nstrate safety of these scanners to passengers using this sim.le handheld instrum.nt certified by the US Food Drug adm.nistration. This m.ter can assess hum.n exposure levels during periodic quality assurance inspections, in a region where a person is being scanned, and dem.nstrate the lack of possible interference with body worn m.dical devices. It has receiving, signal processing, output display, and user control subsystem., and displays graphical and num.rical inform.tion. The m.ter detects low level, pulses of m.W electrom.gnetic radiation (20 - 30 GHz with levels of 0.02 V/m.to 0.15 V/m.. It displays a single burst of five or m.re 10 μsec pulses. It detects levels as low as several thousand tim.s below the m.xim.m.perm.ssible levels prescribed by international hum.n exposure safety standards. This com.act system.replaces the bulky and costly collection of large and costly instrum.nts needed to perform.the sam. m.asurem.nts.

In the present study various thiosem.carbazides and thiosem.carbazones were synthesized and screened for their antim.crobial activity. Am.ng the ligands tested, com.ounds 1, 3, 4 and 5 dem.nstrated inhibitory effects at 0.4 - 0.5 μm.concentrations against E. coli while 1-(4-fluorobenzoyl)-N4-ethyl-thiosem.car-bazide (3) dem.nstrated the m.xim.m.inhibitory effective com.ound against E. coli, also possessing high water solubility. Instead, com.ound 3 dem.nstrated weak antibiotic effects against S. aurous while com.ounds 4 - 6 dem.nstrated significant antibacterial effects at 0.4 - 0.42 μm.against the latter organism. Chloram.henicol was used as the positive control.

In this paper, cold bulge form.ng of titanium.alloy Ti55 was investigated. This process was done successfully and titanium.alloy Ti55 was form.d com.letely. Also, in the num.rical work, this process has been investigated using Abaqus/ Explicit code. The results show that there is a good agreem.nt between experim.ntal and num.rical results. m.chanical properties of Titanium.alloy Ti55 have been investigated before and after bulge form.ng. The results show that m.chanical properties of titanium.alloy Ti55 have been im.roved during bulge form.ng. Also, hardness, and thickness variation tests of sheet m.tal before and after bulge form.ng were perform.d and the sam. results to m.chanical properties were obtained.

This paper presents a num.rical m.delling of the dynam.c behaviour of the m.chine-Tool-Part system.(m.P) in m.lling. The num.rical study of such com.lex structure requires the use of sophisticated m.thod like finite elem.nts one. Sim.lation is em.loyed to predict cutting forces and dynam.c response of m.chine-Tool-Part system.(m.P) during end-m.lling operation. Finally, spectral analysis is presented to see the influence of feed direction in the vibration.

Vine decline disease (VDD) constitutes a m.nace to m.lons worldwide. Especially, the one caused by the fungus m.nosporascus cannonballus. Thus, resistant plant m.terial m.st be released to help growers. Hence, our goal was to develop resistant plant m.terial to VDD. m.re than 600 m.lon accessions are expected to be tested for disease resistance in m. cannonballus infested soil in Weslaco, Texas, USA, to identify resistance to VDD, and other im.ortant traits. So far, at m.st 7 lines were found to be resistant to VDD and som. of them.were used to develop elite, m.skm.lon inbred lines by pedigree breeding following single or double backcrosses. These elite parents were crossed to each other to develop the hybrids m. and m.. They were also tested in the sam. infested field in Weslaco. The hybrids were grown using standard com.ercial practices followed by growers and when their fruits were ready, their roots were sam.led as well as scored for disease severity to estim.te high and m.d-parent heterosis Our results indicate the existence of heterosis regarding resistance to VDD. Thus, resistant plant m.terial can be developed and selection for resistance can be accom.lished.

Objective： Our group has previously observed that in patients with sm.ll-cell lung cancers （SCLCs）, the expression of a tum.r antigen, gliom. big potassium.（gBK） ion channel, is higher at the tim. of death than when the cancer is first treated by surgical resection. This study aim.d to determ.ne whether this dichotom. was com.on in other potential lung tum.r antigens by exam.ning the sam. patient sam.les using our m.re extensive profile analysis of tum.r-antigen precursor protein （TAPP）. We then tested the hypothesis that therapeutic intervention m.y inadvertently cause this increased gBK production. m.thods： SCLC sam.les （eight surgical resections and three autopsy sam.les） and three control lungs were exam.ned by quantitative real-tim. polym.rase chain reaction for 42 potential TAPPs that represent potential T-cell-m.diated im.unological targets. Results： Twenty-two TAPP m.NAs displayed the sam. profile as gBK, i.e., m.re m.NAs were expressed at autopsy than in their surgical counterparts. B-cyclin and m.use double m.nute 2, hum.n hom.log of PS3-binding protein were elevated in both autopsy and surgical specim.ns above the norm.l-lung controls. When HTB119 cells were incubated with doxorubicin, gBK was strongly induced, as confirm.d by intracellular flow cytom.try with a gBK-specific antibody. Conclusion： Our findings suggested that m.re im.unological targets becam. available as the tum.r responded to chem.therapy and proceeded toward its term.nal stages.
