The present study deals with analytical investigation of temperature of a single burning iron *** mathematical methods including AGM(Akbari-Ganji’s method),CM(Collocation method)and GM(Galerkin Method)are applied to solving non-linear differential governing equation and effectiveness of these methods is examined as *** further investigation,forth order Runge-Kutta approach,a numerical method,is used to validate the obtained analytical *** the present study,the developed mathematical model takes into account the effects of thermal radiation,convective heat transfer and particle density variations during combustion *** to particles’small size and high thermal conductivity,the system is assumed to be lumped in which the particle temperature does not change within the body and all of its regions are at the same *** temperature distributions obtained by analytical methods have satisfactory agreement with numerical ***,the results indicate that AGM is a more appropriate method than GM and CM due to its lower mean relative error and less run time.

After controls,including engineering and management,theﬁnal way to control noise is to use hearing protection *** ofastandardized questionnaireregarding investigatingworkers’use of hearing protection devices on the basis of the BASNEF behavioral model,the present study was conducted to investigate the effect of health education based on the BASNEF model on the use of hearing protection devices in workers of an auto-mobile manufacturing plant in *** quasi-experimental and prospective intervention study was performed on 80 workers at an automobile manufacturing plant who are exposed to noise levels above 85 decibels and donot use hearing protection *** this study,40 people working in a cast iron foundry were selected as the inter-vention group,and 40 working in aluminum casting were chosen as the control *** were ana-lyzed at the beginning of the intervention and three months after the intervention in the intervention and control *** was no signiﬁcant difference between the intervention and control groups before the *** was a signiﬁcant difference between the intervention and control groups after the intervention in the area of knowledge.A signiﬁcant correlation was observed between the intervention and control groups after the inter-vention program in all areas of the BASNEF educational model except behavioral *** this study,the effect of educational intervention on the use of hearing protection devices was investigated,and with the educa-tional intervention,it was tried to get help from inﬂuential people and enabling factors in education based on the BASNEF *** results showed that the educational intervention based on the BASNEF model can improve the knowledge of individuals in both the intervention and control groups.

Mitigation of sediment deposition in lined open channels is an essential issue in hydraulic engineering ***,the limiting velocity should be determined to keep the channel bottom clean from sediment ***,sediment transport modeling using various artificial intelligence(AI) techniques has attracted the interest of many *** current integrated study highlights unique insight for modeling of sediment transport in sewer and urban drainage systems.A novel methodology based on the combination of sensitivity and uncertainty analyses with a machine learning technique is proposed as a tool for selection of the best input combination for modeling process at non-deposition conditions of sediment *** one to seven dimensionless parameters,127 models are developed in the current *** order to evaluate the different parameter co mbinations and select the training and te sting data,four strategies are *** the densimetric Froude number(Fr) as the dependent parameter,a model with independent parameters of volumetric sediment concentration(CV) and relative particle size(d/R) gave the best results with a mean absolute relative error(MARE) of 0.1 and a root means square error(RMSE) of *** analysis is applied with a machine learning technique to investigate the credibility of the proposed *** percentage of the observed sample data bracketed by95% predicted uncertainty bound(95 PPU) is computed to assess the uncertainty of the best models.

Blood loss by hemorrhaging wounds accounts for over one-third of~5 million trauma fatalities worldwide every *** not controlled in a timely manner,exsanguination can take lives within a few *** new biomaterials that are easy to use by non-expert patients and promote rapid blood coagulation is an unmet medical ***,biocompatible,and biodegradable microneedle arrays(MNAs)based on gelatin methacryloyl(GelMA)biomaterial hybridized with silicate nanoplatelets(SNs)are developed for hemorrhage *** SNs render the MNAs hemostatic,while the needle-shaped structure increases the contact area with blood,synergistically accelerating the clotting time from 11.5 min to 1.3 min in *** engineered MNAs reduce bleeding by~92%compared with the untreated injury group in a rat liver bleeding ***-containing MNAs outperform the hemostatic effect of needle-free patches and a commercial hemostat in vivo via combining micro-and nanoengineered ***,the tissue adhesive properties and mechanical interlocking support the suitability of MNAs for wound closure *** hemostatic MNAs may enable rapid hemorrhage control,particularly for patients in developing countries or remote areas with limited or no immediate access to hospitals.

Mobile Phone Usage and the Risk of Brain Tumors

Purpose: This literature review investigated the possible association between the use of mobile phones and brain tumors. Methods: In brief, 11 publications were retrieved from JSTOR, PubMed, Google Scholar and Summon in order to compare the association between the usage of mobile phones in patients with a brain tumor and those without. Papers published in English, and after 2001 were selected for. There was no limit on age, gender, geographical location and type of brain tumor. Results: For regular mobile phone usage, the combined odds ratios (OR) (95% confidence intervals) for three studies are: 1.5 (1.2 - 1.8), 1.3 (0.95 - 1.9), and 1.1 (0.8 - 1.4), respectively. Furthermore, the odds ratio did not increase, regardless of mobile phone use duration. Additionally, Lonn et al. (2005) observed that the risk also did not significantly increase when assessing the laterality (ipsilateral or contralateral) of the tumor in relation to side of head used for the mobile phone. Kan et al. (2007) observed an OR of 1.22 when comparing analog phone to digital phone use. Conclusion: This review concludes that there is no current association between mobile phone use and the development of brain tumors. Although certain studies speak in favor of an increased risk, many are plagued with either: sampling bias, misclassification bias, or issues concerning risk estimates. Further research needs to be done in order to evaluate the long-term effect of mobile phone usage on the risk of developing a brain tumor.

Effect of cOVID-19 pneumonia infection control protocols on nosocomial infection incidence in trauma patients

Purpose:Nosocomial infection is a major threat to the health care system and patient *** the pandemic,new protocols were established in hospitals and communities to protect against the transmission of cOvID-19,which may have changed the incidence of nosocomial *** study was conducted to compare the incidence of nosocomial infection before and after the covID-19 ***:This was a retrospective cohort study performed on trauma patients who were admitted,from May 22,2018 to November 22,2021,to the largest level-1 trauma center in Shiraz,Iran(Shahid Rajaei Trauma Hospital).All the trauma patients over 15 years old admitted during the study time were included in this *** who were declared dead upon arrival were *** were evaluated in 2 periods:before the pandemic(May 22,2018-February 19,2020)and after the pandemic(February 19,2020-November 22,2021).Patients were assessed based on demographic information(age,gender,length of hospital stay,and patient outcome),the occurrence of hospital infection,and the type of *** analysis was done using SPSS version ***:Overall,60,561 patients were admitted,with a mean age of 40 *** infection was diagnosed in 4.00%(n=2423)of all admitted *** incidence rate of post-COVID-19 hospitalacquired infections decreased by 16.28%(p<0.001)when compared to before the pandemic;in contrast,surgical site infection(p<0.001)and urinary tract infection(p=0.043)were responsible for this change,while hospital-acquired pneumonia(p=0.568)and bloodstream infection(p=0.156)were not significantly *** mortality was 1.79%,while 28.52%of all patients with nosocomial infections *** the pandemic,there was a 25.78%increase(p<0.001)in the overall incidence rate of mortality,which was also observed among patients with nosocomial infections(17.84%).Conclusion:The incidence of nosocomial infection has decreased during the pandemic,possibly due to the

Tree Based Energy and Congestion Aware Routing Protocol for Wireless Sensor Networks

Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) have inherent and unique characteristics rather than traditional networks. They have many different constraints, such as computational power, storage capacity, energy supply and etc;of course the most important issue is their energy constraint. Energy aware routing protocol is very important in WSN, but routing protocol which only considers energy has not efficient performance. Therefore considering other parameters beside energy efficiency is crucial for protocols efficiency. Depending on sensor network application, different parameters can be considered for its protocols. Congestion management can affect routing protocol performance. Congestion occurrence in network nodes leads to increasing packet loss and energy consumption. Another parameter which affects routing protocol efficiency is providing fairness in nodes energy consumption. When fairness is not considered in routing process, network will be partitioned very soon and then the network performance will be decreased. In this paper a Tree based Energy and Congestion Aware Routing Protocol (TECARP) is proposed. The proposed protocol is an energy efficient routing protocol which tries to manage congestion and to provide fairness in network. Simulation results shown in this paper imply that the TECARP has achieved its goals.

In this study, neutron and gamma radiation produced during the ITER tokamak operation including the nuclear heating were studied. This is an approach for analyzing the neutron flux by their contributions. The calculations were conducted using Geant4 Monte Carlo method based on the ITER simplified geometry. It was found that for present design of ITER, only 0.1% of neutrons is contributed by photonuclear interaction while, 33% belongs to the (n, xn) reaction. Finally by adding Beryllium element in the coolant leading to the increase in the neutron flux by increasing the rate of (γ, n) reactions was calculated.

Evaluating of Training and Internship Programs of University Hospitals

Objective: This study aimed to assess training and internship programs (courses) of basic and clinical sciences in hospitals based on surveying the students of Tehran University of Medical Sciences. Material and Methods: The present study was a cross-sectional one with survey descriptive designs. The data collection tool was a questionnaire with 14 five-point likert style items. The Research and Development Center of Tehran University of Medical Sciences surveyed all 185 students of training and internship programs, using a questionnaire with the Cronbach’s alpha coefficient of 81%, for the purpose of adjusting the education to the society’s needs and improving its quality. Result: The mean scores of the assessment of training and internship programs were 3.32%, 2.98%, 3.38% and 3.29%, respectively for theoretical classroom training related to practical training, mental, communicational and practical skills courses. The students’ satisfaction rate regarding the quality of educational courses of training and internship programs was 50.2%. Conclusion: Educational authorities have made necessary attempts to implement these programs and use potential resources for realizing the objectives and achieving the educational quality;however, they should make further attempts in this regard.
