Two-Dimensional Metal-Organic Frameworks with Unique Oriented Layers for Oxygen Reduction Reaction:Tailoring the Activity through Exposed Crystal Facets

As one of the most important families of porous materials,metal–organic frameworks(MOFs)have well-defined atomic *** provides ideal models for investigating and understanding the relationships between structures and catalytic activities at the molecular ***,the active sites on the edges of two-dimensional(2D)MOFs have rarely been studied,as they are less exposed to the ***,for the first time,we synthesized and observed that the 2D layers could align perpendicular to the surface of a 2D zeolitic imidazolate framework L(ZIF-L)with a leaf-like *** to this unique orientation,the active sites on the edges of the 2D crystal structure could mostly be exposed to the ***,when another layer of ZIF-L-Co was grown heteroepitaxially onto ZIF-L-Zn(ZIF-L-Zn@ZIF-L-Co),the two layers shared a common b axis but rotated by 90°in the ac *** demonstrated that we could control exposed facets of the 2D *** ZIF-L-Co with more exposed edge active sites exhibited high electrocatalytic activity for oxygen reduction *** work provides a new concept of designing unique oriented layers in 2D MOFs to expose more edge-active sites for efficient electrocatalysis.

bedload transport in alluvial channels has been extensively studied and different equations based on field and/or experimental data have been *** of bed-load transport rate using different equations results in wide ranges which are not always *** this study,some of the universal bedload predictors were evaluated with measured load by a helley-Smith sampler in the Node River,a gravel bed river in the northeast part of *** 19 sets of data,14 series of data were used to evaluate the bed-load transport *** results show that the equations presented by Van Rijn,Meyer-Peter and Mueller,and Ackers and White may adequately predict bedload transport in the range of field data.

MnFe2O4@PANI@Ag heterogeneous Nanocatalyst for Degradation of Industrial Aqueous Organic Pollutants

This paper reports a stable heterogeneous nanoparticles catalyst MnFe2O4@PANI@Ag for the degradation of azo dyes. In this synthesizing method, MnFe204 is used as magnetic core and polyaniline （PANI） a linker to stabilize the Ag nanoparticles （NPs） on the surface of catalyst. The method has a high ability to prevent Ag NPs from aggregation on the PANI surface, thus resulting in small size and highly dispersed Ag NPs. The composition and nano-structural features of polycrystalline sample were studied by X-ray powder diffractometry, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, and scanning electron microsco- py. Vibrating sample magnetometer measurements proved the super-paramagnetic property of the catalyst, and UV results demonstrated that MnFe2O4@PANI@Ag has a high ability to reduce the azo dyes, which come from industrial wastes in the form of pollutant. The nanocomposites could be readily separated by magnet and reused for the next four reductions with high generation efficiency.

Synthesis,characterization and pharmacological evaluation of pyrazolyl urea derivatives as potential anti-inflammatory agents

p38α mitogen activated protein kinase(MAPK) inhibitors provide a novel approach for the treatment of inflammatory disorders.A series of fifteen pyrazolyl urea derivatives(3a-o) were synthesized and evaluated for their p38α MAPK inhibition and antioxidant *** 3a-e,3g and 3h showed low micromolar range potency(IC_(50) values ranging from 0.037 ±1.56 to 0.069± 0.07μmol/L)compared to the standard inhibitor Sb 203580(IC_(50) = 0.043 + 3.62μmol/L) when evaluated for p38αMAPK inhibition by an immunosorbent-based *** activity was measured by a 2,2'-diphenyl-1-picryl hydrazyl radical(DPPh) free radical scavenging method and one of the compounds,3c,showed better percentage antioxidant activity(75.06%) compared to butylated hydroxy anisole(71.53%)at 1 mmol/L *** 3a-e,3g and 3h showed promising in vivo anti-inflammatory activity(ranging from 62.25%to 80.93%) in comparison to diclofenac sodium(81.62%).The ulcerogenic liability and lipid peroxidation activity of these compounds were observed to be less in comparison to diclofenac *** compounds also potently inhibited the lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-induced TNF-αrelease in mice(ID_(50) of 3a-c = 19.98,11.32 and 9.67 mg/kg,respectively).Among the screened compounds,derivative 3c was found to be the most potent and its binding mode within the p38α MAPK is also reported.

The installation of plunger-type wave makers in experimental tanks will generally include a gap between the back of the wedge and the wall of the *** this study,we analyze the influence of this gap on the wave making performance of the plunger using two-dimensional(2 D)CFD calculations for a range of nearly linear wave conditions and compare the results with both experimental measurements and linear potential flow *** wedge-shaped profiles,all with the same submerged volume,are ***,the generated waves are compared with the predictions of linear potential flow *** calculations are made using the commercial ANSYS FLUENT finite-volume code with dynamic meshes to solve the Navier-Stokes equations and the volume of fluid scheme to capture the air-water ***,the linear potential flow solution of Wu(J hydraul Res 26:481-493,1988)is extended to consider an arbitrary profile and serve as a reference *** amplitude ratios of the generated waves predicted by the CFD calculations compare well with the predictions of linear potential flow theory for a simple wedge,indicating that viscous effects do not influence this ratio for small-amplitude motions in 2 *** contrast,significant higher harmonic components are produced by larger amplitude ***,the simple wedge is found to produce the smallest spurious higher harmonic content in the far-field wave.

Evaluation on Properties of CaO-baO-b_2O_3-Al_2O_3-SiO_2 Glass-Ceramic Sealants for Intermediate Temperature Solid Oxide Fuel Cells

To develop suitable sealants for intermediate temperature solid oxide fuel cells （IT-SOFC）, glass-ceramics based on the CaO-baO-b203-AI203-Si02 system were studied. Coefficient of thermal expansion （CTE）, glass transition temperature （Tg） and dilatometric softening point temperature （Td） of specimens were determined by means of dilatometer analysis and crystallization temperature was measured by differential thermal analysis （DTA）. Also, crystallization behavior during prolonged heat-treatment and microstructure properties were studied by means of X-ray diffraction （XRD） and scanning electron microscopy （SEM）, respectively. Electrical properties were measured at different temperatures, and the results showed a high resistance （〉104 Ω） at the SOFC operation temperature （600-800 ℃）. Moreover, mechanical properties of heat-treated specimens （1, 10, 30, 50 h） were measured, Microstructure investigation revealed a well-adhered bonding between the sealant glass-ceramic electrolyte and glass.

In this paper,we present the performance of a recently developed in-situ spin-exchange optically pumped^(3)he-neutron spin filter system at the China Spallation Neutron Source(CSNS).The system achieved a^(3)he polarization of over 74%at the beamline *** of neutron transmission experiment results reveals a neutron polarization of>90%and an average transmission of 27%for 2.2Åneutrons,which were maintained for a duration of 120 h of beam *** the best of our knowledge,this is the first in-situ hyperpolarized^(3)he system incorporated on a neutron beamline in *** technology is expected to provide stable,wide-angle,and highly polarized neutrons at the CSNS for materials research and fundamental neutron physics.

电解液的固有缺陷以及锂枝晶问题严重限制了当前商业化锂离子电池的发展.为了解决上述问题,本文通过控制加入纳米填料的形状,获得了具有仿生脑状纳米结构的固态聚合物电解质(bbLN).与传统复合聚合物固态电解质不同,我们通过添加球状核壳UIO-66@67纳米填料制备了具有仿生脑状纳米结构的固态聚合物电解质.球状UIO-66@67纳米颗粒能够有效减小聚合物基质在固化过程中的形变,从而促进形成独特的仿生脑状纳米结构.此外,球状纳米颗粒能够有效降低聚合物电解质的结晶度,提高其链段运动能力,形成连续的锂离子传输路径.基于此,仿生脑状固态聚合物电解质具有高离子电导率(9.2×10^(−4)S cm^(−1)),高锂离子迁移数(0.74)和良好的锂金属兼容性(>6500 h).本研究中提出的仿生脑状纳米结构的设计理念是一种有效增强固态电池中聚合物基电解质的离子输运的新策略.
