Regulation of rose petal dehydration tolerance and senescence by RhNAP transcription factor via the modulation of cytokinin catabolism

Petals and leaves share common evolutionary origins but have different phenotypic characteristics,such as the absence of stomata in the petals of most angiosperm *** NAC transcription factor,NAP,is involved in ABA responses and regulates senescence-associated genes,and especially those that affect stomatal ***,the regulatory mechanisms and significance of NAP action in senescing astomatous petals is unclear.A major limiting factor is failure of flower opening and accelerated *** goal is to understand the finely regulatory mechanism of dehydration tolerance and aging in rose *** functionally characterized RhNAP,an AtNAP-like transcription factor gene that is induced by dehydration and aging in astomatous rose ***(CKs)are known to delay petal senescence and we found that a cytokinin oxidase/dehydrogenase gene 6(RhCKX6)shares similar expression patterns with *** of RhNAP or RhCKX6 expression in rose petals by virus induced gene silencing markedly reduced petal dehydration tolerance and delayed petal *** CK levels in RhNAP-or RhCKX6-silenced petals were significantly higher than those of the ***,RhCKX6 expression was reduced in RhNAP-silenced *** suggests that the expression of RhCKX6 is regulated by *** one-hybrid experiments and electrophoresis mobility shift assays showed that RhNAP binds to the RhCKX6 promoter in heterologous in vivo system and in vitro,***,the expression of putative signal transduction and downstream genes of ABA-signaling pathways were also reduced due to the repression of PP2C homolog genes by RhNAP in rose *** together,our study indicates that the RhNAP/RhCKX6 interaction represents a regulatory step enhancing dehydration tolerance in young rose petals and accelerating senescence in mature petals in a stomata-independent manner.

A New Co(Ⅱ) Coordination Polymer Based on a Flexible 1,4-Cyclohexanedicarboxylic Acid: Synthesis, Structure and Thermal Behavior

A new Co（Ⅱ） coordination polymer, [Co（1,4-chdc）（L）（H2O）]n（1）, was synthesized under hydrothermal condition（1,4-H2chdc = 1,4-cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid, L = 2-（4-fluoro-phenyl）-1 H-imidazo[4,5-f][1,10]phenanthroline）. Its crystal structure was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. 1 crystallizes in triclinic, space group P1 with a = 8.790（5）, b = 10.486（5）, c = 13.305（5） ?, α = 87.391（5）, β = 82.925（5）, γ = 81.841（5）o, V = 1204.2（10） ?3, Z = 2, C27H23FN4O5Co, Mr = 561.42, Dc = 1.548 g/cm3, F（000） = 578, μ（Mo Ka） = 0.769 mm-1, R = 0.0415 and wR = 0.1043. In 1, each 1,4-chdc anion bridges two neighboring Co（Ⅱ） atoms to give a chain structure. The L ligands are attached on one side of the chain through chelating the Co（Ⅱ） atoms, and are stacked with those of an adjacent chain through π-π interactions, yielding a double-chain structure. The double-chain structures are linked into a supramolecular layer structure through N–H···O hydrogen-bonding interactions between the adjacent double-chain structures. Moreover, the thermal behavior of 1 was also studied.

Intraspecific diversity: adaptive differentiation of Picea mongolica W. D. Xu ecotypes

Picea mongolica W. D. Xu is an endemic and endangered species which is only found in semi-arid areas of northern China. It has been widely used as an afforestation tree in the establishment of the Three-North Shelterbelt System for its adaptation to arid soils and as a virescent tree in urban gardens and streets for its beautiful shape. Due to different microenvironments, P. mongolica populations may differentiate into many ecological groups with different adaptive abilities. Long-term adaptation to a dry environment makes P. mongolica differentiate into different ecotypes. Typical ecotypes are P. mongolica f. purpurea （Fp）, P. mongolica f. rubra （Fr） and P. mongolica f. viridis （Fv）. Our results show that cone size is clearly not uniform among different ecotypes; the largest cones are found in the Fv ecotype and the smallest in Fp. There were also distinct differences between these ecotypes in terms of height and length of squama. At the molecular level, the zymograms of peroxidase and lipase prove the existence of different ecotypes in P. mongolica. The results are useful for investigating and managing this rare spruce species in China.

Diagnosis of coronary artery disease using targeted post-mortem computed tomography coronary angiography:a case report

Targeted post-mortem computed tomography(PMCT)combined with coronary angiography has the potential to play a significant role in the investigation of sudden cardiac *** authors utilized a targeted PMCT coronary angiography in a case involving a 53-year-old man who died from acute myocardial ischemia and cardiac decompensation which may result from coronary artery disease(CAD).The victim collapsed suddenly at work and died soon after arrival to *** body was examined using PMCT and targeted PMCT coronary *** left anterior descending coronary artery exhibited 75%-100%stenosis in the middle segment;however,the distal segment could not be clearly *** addition,the left circumflex and right coronary artery exhibited calcification,atherosclerosis and an area of 50% *** of cardiogenic pulmonary oedema were also *** imaging results suggested that this individual had coronary atherosclerosis and probably died from *** autopsy and histological examination revealed acute myocardial ischemia and myocardial scarring,confirming the cause of death while excluding other *** summary,targeted post-mortem computed tomography angiography(PMCTA)can visualize the arteries and estimate the degree of principal pathological *** method is a simple,reliable and sensitive technique for identifying the presence of coronary *** is a valuable post-mortem forensic imaging method and should be recommended in the investigation of suspicious cardiac deaths.

Abdominal lymphangiomatosis in a 38-year-old female:Case report and literature review

Lymphangioma is an uncommon benign tumor that develops in the lymphatic system. Abdominal lymphangiomatosis is extremely rare in adult patients, and the clinical symptoms of this condition are complicated and atypical. We report a case of abdominal lymphangiomatosis in a 38-year-old female who presented with intestinal bleeding and protein-losing enteropathy, as well as lesions in the lung and bones. A computed tomography scan revealed multiple small cystic lesions without enhancement. Histological examination revealed microscopic cysts were submucosal, with walls composed of thin fibrous tissue, and D2-40 stained highlight the lining of the lymphatic channels by immunohistochemical method. We make a comparison with the cases reported before, and also discuss the diagnose of diffuse pulmonary lymphangiomatosis and Gorham’s disease.

New Geiger-Nuttall law for two-proton radioactivity

In the present work,a two-parameter empirical formula is proposed,based on the Geiger-Nuttall law,to study two-proton( 2p )*** this formula,the calculated 2p radioactivity half-lives are in good agreement with the experimental data as well as with calculated results obtained by Goncalves et al.[***.B 774,14(2017)]using the effective liquid drop model(ELDM),Sreeja et al.[***.J.A 55,33(2019)]using a four-parameter empirical formula,and Cui et al.[***.C 101:014301(2020)]using a generalized liquid drop model(GLDM).In addition,this two-parameter empirical formula is extended to predict the half-lives of 22 possible 2p radioactivity candidates with 2p radioactivity released energy Q_(2p)>0 ,obtained from the latest evaluated atomic mass table *** predicted results are highly consistent with those obtained using other theoretical models such as the ELDM,GLDM and four-parameter empirical formula.

Among the solid electrolytes for solid-state Li batteries,polymer electrolytes are actively explored on the basis of the good interfacial contact and easy making,while it is still constrained by slow ionic transport and low lithium ion transference ***,functional carbon dots-based Li+conductor(CD-Li)is designed to improve the dynamics and selectivity of Li+transport in polyethylene oxide(PEO)*** ionic conductivity(1.0×10^(−4) S/cm,25℃)and Li+transference number(0.60)were successfully achieved within the CD‐Li‐based PEO composite electrolyte,which could be attributed to the enhanced chain movement and the limited motion of ***,the characteristics of big volume of individual anions of CD-Li can provide more free Li^(+).As well,benefiting from the existence of F atom in the CD-Li,in-situ constructed LiF-containing interfacial layer is in favor of maintaining the interface stability and facilitating the rapid transmission of Li *** composite electrolyte with CD-Li can address the ionic conductivity issues accompanied with strengthening the interfacial *** distinctive composite electrolyte realizes the stable cycle performance for Li/LiFePO_(4) and Li/LiNi_(0.5)Co_(0.2)Mn_(0.3)O_(2)*** exploration of multifunctional carbon dot fillers provides new ideas for the efficient development of composite electrolytes.

Probing magnetic-proximity-effect enlarged valley splitting in monolayer WSe2 by photoluminescence

Possessing a valley degree of freedom and potential in information processing by manipulating valley features (such as valley splitting), group-VI monolayer transition metal dichalcogenides have attracted enormous interest. This valley splitting can be measured based on the difference between the peak energies of σ+ and σ− polarized emissions for excitons or trions in direct band gap monolayer transition metal dichalcogenides under perpendicular magnetic fields. In this work, a well-prepared heterostructure is formed by transferring exfoliated WSe2 onto a EuS substrate. Circular-polarization-resolved photoluminescence spectroscopy, one of the most facile and intuitive methods, is used to probe the difference of the gap energy in two valleys under an applied out-of-plane external magnetic field. Our results indicate that valley splitting can be enhanced when using a EuS substrate, as compared to a SiO2/Si substrate. The enhanced valley splitting of the WSe2/EuS heterostructure can be understood as a result of an interfacial magnetic exchange field originating from the magnetic proximity effect. The value of this magnetic exchange field, based on our estimation, is approximately 9 T. Our findings will stimulate further studies on the magnetic exchange field at the interface of similar heterostructures.
