Contribution of Study Bioecology of the Fauna Chamaerops humilis in the Region of Tlemcen （Algeria）

The region of Tlemcen is situated in the north-west of Algeria. The aridity of the climate had lead to the development of the matorral, a state of degradation of the Mediterranean, and the composed xerophytes plants such as doum and diss, had been found. Chamaerops humilis, xerophyte plant, with special morphologic and botanic character presents a resistance of these climatic. The authors have proposed study of fauna closly linked to this plant. A faunistic inventory was realized in the Mansourah area （region of Tlemcen）. Four stations have been described. Collecting sample was performed during June 2003-Mar. 2004, replying on sixteen （16） prelevements. The number of species were estimated of about 136, in which 111 are Arthropoda, the Entomofauna represented by 97 species and the other inventory are Arachnida by 8 species and Myriapoda by 6 species. 18 species are related to Gastropoda. The vertebrates are few. The importance of different groups＇ recolted on the Chamaerops humilis in the four stations is done particular to the insects. Analysis factorial correspondence （A.F.C） show different grouping of animal species.

From two different methods： the participant observation and sound recording of communicative interactions, the study has addressed the fundamental issues related to the problems of communication with the other in an intercultural professional environment. The conclusions drawn from the analysis of the data suggest some pedagogical readjustments to improve the teaching of intercultural communication in the ENCGA,

Objective:To evaluate the effects of ethanol–water(80:20) extract of Marrubium vulgare(***) on the hematological parameters,macroscopic and histological aspects of the uterus and fetus in non-pregnant and pregnant ***:Female rats were divided into 4 equal groups(n = 9),group N(normal rats) and group G(pregnant rats) considered as control groups,group NE(normal rats treated with the ethanol–water(80:20,v/v) extract of ***) and group GE(pregnant rats treated with the extract).The ethanol–water(80:20) plant extract was administered in a single daily dose 1 g/kg at the morning,during 19 *** the 19 day of the experiment,animals were sacrificed,the uterus and fetuses were removed for the morphological and histological studies and the blood was collected in EDTA tubes for the measurement of hematological parameters with the use of an automate ‘HORIBA ABX Micros 60 Hematology Analyzer'.Results:Our results showed,in group NE and GE,a significant decrease on hematological parameters:red blood cells(NE:18.6%;GE:38.4%),hematocrit(NE:13.8%;GE:20.4%),hemoglobin(NE:12.1%;GE:8.3%) and mean corpuscular volume(NE:6.4%;GE:2%) with P more less a ***,the extract of *** caused a significant decrease on the mean implantations of fetuses(82.5%,P<0.001) and their size(47.2%,P< 0.01).As for the macroscopic and histological appearance of uterus,our data showed no change in normal treated *** contrast,the treated pregnant rats showed a severe histological change characterized by the existence of location of stopped ***,it was also found in the uterus of these rat lyses placental and embryo ***:All these results support the hypothesis of an abortifacient effect of ***.

Objective:To investigate the effect of Corchorus olitorius aqueous fraction(COAF)on quorum sensing(QS)-regulated virulence factors and biofilm formation in Pseudomonas aeruginosa(PAO1).Methods:The preliminary screening of the anti-QS effect of COAF was performed by evaluating the anti-pathogenic activity against Chromobacterium violaceum CV026 biosensor ***,the inhibitory effects of COAF on QS-regulated pyocyanin production,proteolytic and elastolytic activities,swarming motility,and biofilm formation were evaluated in ***:The results showed that the treatment of COAF significantly decreased the biofilm biomass,attenuated virulence factors,and inhibited swarming motility of PAO1 without affecting the growth of the bacteria in a dose-dependent *** at 2000μg/mL significantly decreased Las B elastase activity in PAO1 culture,exopolysaccharide production,swarming motility,pyocyanin level,and biomass of PAO1 by 55%(P<0.05),60%(P<0.01),61%(P<0.01),65%(P<0.01)and 73%(P<0.01),*** addition,the production of violacein was decreased by 62%(P<0.01)with the treatment of a high dose of ***:These findings indicate that COAF can be a potential source of anti-QS agents.

Purpose-Ensemble methods have been widely used in the field of pattern recognition due to the difficulty offinding a single classifier that performs well on a wide variety of *** the effectiveness of thesetechniques,studies have shown that ensemble methods generate a large number of hypotheses and thatcontain redundant classifiers in most *** works proposed in the state of the art attempt to reduce allhypotheses without affecting ***/methodology/approach-In this work,the authors are proposing a pruning method that takes intoconsideration the correlation between classifiers/classes and each classifier with the rest of the *** authorshave used the random forest algorithm as trees-based ensemble classifiers and the pruning was made by atechnique inspired by the CFS(correlation feature selection)***-The proposed method CES(correlation-based Ensemble Selection)was evaluated onten datasets from the UCI machine learning repository,and the performances were compared to sixensemble pruning *** results showed that our proposed pruning method selects a smallensemble in a smaller amount of time while improving classification rates compared to the ***/value-CES is a new ordering-based method that uses the CFS *** selects,in a shorttime,a small sub-ensemble that outperforms results obtained from the whole forest and the other state-of-thearttechniques used in this study.

The first international conference for the post-2015 United Nations landmark agreements(Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015–2030, Sustainable Development Goals, and Paris Agreement on Climate Change) was held in January 2016 to discuss the role of science and technology in implementing the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015–2030. The UNISDR Science and Technology Conference on the Implementation of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015–2030 aimed to discuss and endorse plans that maximize science's contribution to reducing disaster risks and losses in the coming 15 years and bring together the diversity of stakeholders producing and using disaster risk reduction(DRR) science and technology. This article describes the evolution of the role of science and technology in the policy process building up to the Sendai Framework adoption that resulted in an unprecedented emphasis on science in the text agreed on by 187 United Nations member states in March 2015 and endorsed by the United Nations General Assembly in June 2015. Contributions assembled by the Conference Organizing Committee and teams including the conference concept notes and the conference discussions that involved a broad range of scientists and decision makers are summarized in this article. The conference emphasized how partnerships and networks can advance multidisciplinary research and bring together science, policy, and practice; how disaster risk is understood, and how risks are assessed and early warning systems are designed; what data, standards, and innovative practices would be needed to measure and report on risk reduction; what research and capacity gaps exist and how difficulties in creating and using science for effective DRR can be overcome. To the Editor:In the last decade,neoadjuvant chemotherapy(NAC)has become a well-accepted treatment option for breast cancer,although few detailed description of NAC in China has yet been reported.[1]A previous study found that among patients with clinically node-negative(cN0)breast cancer,97.7%(432/442)with breast pathologic complete response(bpCR)had ypN0(absence of metastases in the axillary lymph nodes);and 71.6%(882/1232)without bpCR achieved ypN0(P<0.001).As for human epidermal growth factor receptor 2(HER2)positive or triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC)that achieved bpCR.

Potential predictive factors for pathologic complete response after the neoadjuvant treatment of rectal adenocarcinoma:a single center experience

Objective:To assess the response rate of patients with rectal adenocarcinoma to neoadjuvant therapy and to identify the predictors of histological regression after neoadjuvant radiotherapy(RT)or concurrent chemoradiotherapy(CCRT).Methods:This study recruited 64 *** patients had resectable cancer of the lower and the middle rectum(T3/T4 and/or N+)without distant metastasis and received neoadjuvant RT or CCRT followed by radical surgery with total mesorectal excision(TME)between January 2006 and December *** patients were classified into non-response(NR),partial response(PR),and pathologic complete response(p CR)based on the Dworak tumor regression grading ***:The median age of patients was 57 years(ranging from 22 to 85).A total of 24 patients were treated with neoadjuvant CCRT,whereas 40 patients were treated with RT *** resection(APR)was performed on 29 patients(45%).Anterior resection with TME was performed on 34 patients(53%).One patient had local ***,12(19%),24(73%),and 28(44%)patients exhibited p CR,PR,and NR,*** analysis revealed that the predictors of tumor regression were as follows:the absence of lymph node involvement from initial imaging(c N0)(P=0.021);normal initial carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA)level(P=0.01);hemoglobin level≥12 g/dl(P=0.009);CCRT(P=0.021);and tumor downstaging in imaging(P=0.001).Multivariate analysis showed that the main predictors of p CR were CT combined with neoadjuvant RT,c N0stage,and tumor regression on ***:Identifying the predictors of p CR following neoadjuvant therapy aids the selection of responsive patients for nonaggressive surgical treatment and possible surveillance.
