The main objective of this paper was to fabricate CuSnni alloy and its composites reinforced with various contents of Sinparticles(5wt%, 10wt%, and 15wt%) and to investigate their dry sliding wear behavior using a pin-on-disk tribometer. Microstructural examinations of the specimens revealed a uniform dispersion of Sinparticles in the copper matrix. Wear experiments were performed for all combinations of parameters, such as load(10, 20, and 30 n), sliding distance(500, 1000, and 1500 m), and sliding velocity(1, 2, and 3 m/s), for the alloy and the composites. The results revealed that wear rate increased with increasing load and increasing sliding distance, whereas the wear rate decreased and then increased with increasing sliding velocity. The primary wear mechanism encountered at low loads was mild adhesive wear, whereas that at high loads was severe delamination wear. An oxide layer was formed at low velocities, whereas a combination of shear and plastic deformation occurred at high velocities. The mechanism at short sliding distances was ploughing action of Sinparticles, which act as protrusions; by contrast, at long sliding distances, direct metal–metal contact occurred. Among the investigated samples, the Cu/10wt% Sincomposite exhibited the best wear resistance at a load of 10 n, a velocity of 2 m/s, and a sliding distance of 500 m.

We have experimentally studied the ni/n-Si nano Schottky barrier height （SBH） and potential difference between patches in the nano Schottky diodes （SD） using contact atomic force microscopy （C-AFM） in tapping mode and scanning tunneling microscopy （STM）. Topology measurement of the surface with C-AFM showed that, a single ni/n-Si SD consists of many patches with different sizes. These patches are sets of parallel diodes and electrically interacting contacts of 5 to 50 nm sizes and between these individual diodes, there exists an additional electric field. In real metal semiconductor contacts （MSC）, patches with quite different configurations, various geometrical sizes and local work functions were randomly distributed on the surface of the metal. The direction and intensity of the additional electric field are distributed in homogenously along the contact metal surface. SBH controls the electronic transport across the MS interface and therefore, is of vital importance to the successful operation of semiconductor devices.

Pitting and stress corrosion cracking(SCC) studies on the 316 n stainless steel(SS) weldments in aswelded(AW) and thermally aged(solution annealing(SA), 550C/4 h and 750C/1 h) conditions were carried out in acidic and acidic chloride media. Pitting corrosion and SCC resistance was the highest for SA weldment, which was attributed to homogenization of microstructural and microchemical heterogeneities during solution annealing. SA specimen showed the most stable passive film as compared to AW weldment because of higher amount of delta-ferrite in AW weld metal, which resulted in an increased heterogeneity and inferior SCC resistance in AW. Stability of passive film was found to be adversely affected due to heat treatments(at 550C/4 h and 750C/1 h) because of the precipitation of carbide and sigma phases.

The low surface area,high recombination rate of photogenerated charge carriers,narrow visible range activity,and difficulty in the separation from cleaned solutions limit the wide application of g-C_(3)n_(4) as a ***,we have succeeded in developing a one-pot strategy to overcome the above-mentioned difficulties of g-C_(3)n_(4).The broadening of the visible-light response range and inducing magnetic nature to g-C_(3)n_(4) was succeeded by preparing a nanocomposite with Fe_(2)O_(3) via a facile solvothermal *** preparation method additionally imparted layer exfoliation of g-C_(3)n_(4) as evident from the XRD patterns and TEM *** strong interaction between the components is revealed from the XPS *** broadened visible-light absorbance of Fe_(2)O_(3)/g-C_(3)n_(4) with a Z-scheme photocatalytic degradation mechanism is well evident from the UV-Vis DRS analysis and PL measurement of the composite with terephthalic *** active species of photocatalysis were further investigated using scavenging studies in methylene blue degradation that revealed hydroxyl radicals and holes as the major contributors to the activity of Fe_(2)O_(3)/g-C_(3)n_(4).

The dust acoustic（DA） shock wave with dust charge fluctuations, non-Maxwellian ions, and non-isothermal electrons is studied theoretically. The perturbation technique is employed to derive the lower order three-dimensional（3D） Burgers equation, and shock wave solution is explored by the tan-hyperbolic method. The effects of flat trapped and trapped electron distributions in the presence of Maxwellian and non-Maxwellian ions on characteristics shock waves are observed. The temperature ratio of non-Maxwellian ion temperature and non-isothermal electron temperature is found to play an important role in forming the shock-like structure.

Olfactory ensheathing glia promote axonal regeneration in the mammalian central nervous system,including retinal ganglion cell axonal growth through the injured optic ***,it is unknown whether olfactory ensheathing glia also have neuroprotective *** ensheathing glia express brain-derived neurotrophic factor,one of the best neuroprotectants for axotomized retinal ganglion ***,we aimed to investigate the neuroprotective capacity of olfactory ensheating glia after optic nerve *** ensheathing glia cells from an established rat immortalized clonal cell line,TEG3,were intravitreally injected in intact and axotomized retinas in syngeneic and allogeneic mode with or without microglial inhibition or immunosuppressive *** and gene expression analyses were *** bulb-derived primary olfactory ensheathing glia and TEG3 express major histocompatibility complex classⅡ*** and syngenically transplanted TEG3 cells survived in the vitreous for up to 21 days,forming an *** axotomized retinas,only the allogeneic TEG3 transplant rescued retinal ganglion cells at 7 days but not at 21 *** these retinas,microglial anatomical activation was higher than after optic nerve crush *** intact retinas,both transplants activated microglial cells and caused retinal ganglion cell death at 21 days,a loss that was higher after allotransplantation,triggered by pyroptosis and partially rescued by microglial inhibition or ***,neuroprotection of axotomized retinal ganglion cells did not improve with these *** different neuroprotective properties,different toxic effects,and different responses to microglial inhibitory treatments of olfactory ensheathing glia in the retina depending on the type of transplant highlight the importance of thorough preclinical studies to explore these variables.
