The quick spread of the CoronavirusDisease(COVID-19)infection around the world considered a real danger for global *** biological structure and symptoms of COVID-19 are similar to other viral chest maladies,which makes it challenging and a big issue to improve approaches for efficient identification of COVID-19 *** this study,an automatic prediction of COVID-19 identification is proposed to automatically discriminate between healthy and COVID-19 infected subjects in X-ray images using two successful moderns are traditional machine learning methods(e.g.,artificial neural network(ANN),support vector machine(SVM),linear kernel and radial basis function(RBF),k-nearest neighbor(k-NN),Decision Tree(DT),andCN2 rule inducer techniques)and deep learningmodels(e.g.,MobileNets V2,ResNet50,GoogleNet,DarkNet andXception).A largeX-ray dataset has been created and developed,namely the COVID-19 ***(400 healthy cases,and 400 COVID cases).To the best of our knowledge,it is currently the largest publicly accessible COVID-19 dataset with the largest number of X-ray images of confirmed COVID-19 infection *** on the results obtained from the experiments,it can be concluded that all the models performed well,deep learning models had achieved the optimum accuracy of 98.8%in ResNet50 *** comparison,in traditional machine learning techniques, the SVM demonstrated the best result for an accuracy of 95% and RBFaccuracy 94% for the prediction of coronavirus disease 2019.

A Void Avoidance Scheme for Grid-Based Multipath Routing in Underwater Wireless Sensor Networks

This work proposes a geographic routing protocol for UWSNs based on the construction of a 3D virtual grid structure, called Void-Avoidance Grid-based Multipath Position-based Routing (VA-GMPR). It consists of two main components, the multipath routing scheme and the grid-based void avoidance (GVA) mechanism for handling routing holes. The multipath routing scheme adopts node-disjoint routes from the source to the sink in order to enhance network reliability and load balancing. While the GVA mechanism handles the problem of holes in 3D virtual grid structure based on three techniques: Hole bypass, path diversion, and path backtracking. The performance evaluation of the VA-GMPR protocol was compared to a recently proposed grid-based routing protocol for UWSNs, called Energy-efficient Multipath Geographic Grid-based Routing (EMGGR). The results showed that the VA-GMPR protocol outperformed the EMGGR protocol in terms of packet delivery ratio, and end-to end-delay. However, the results also showed that the VA-GMPR protocol exhibited higher energy consumption compared to EMGGR.

The High Energy Region of the Absorption Edge of a-Si:H, a Theoretical Study—III

In this paper we try to give a reasonable account for the origin of the experimental optical energy gap Eo of a-Si:H deduced from the plot due to Cody ( vs. E). Using a realistic model density of states diagram for a-Si:H and the constant dipole matrix element assumption, and a reasonable definition of the real optical energy gap EG, a new theoretical equation for ε2(E) was derived. The plot of the square root of this function as a function of the photon energy E for appropriate fitting parameters gives a straight line fit in the energy region of significance extrapolating to the energy axis at a value similar to the experimental optical gap but about 0.1 eV lower than the theoretical optical gap EG proposed in our paper. We conclude that the experimental optical gap Eo does not necessarily coincide with any optical transition threshold in the density of states diagram of a-Si:H.

The nature of the MnCl2 salt as a filler to polycarbonate , including their composition, particles dimensions and homogeneity of distribution have been studied using different spectroscopic techniques (XRD, DSC and TGA). A slight increases in the chain-chain separation due to the interaction of the MnCl2 salt with the polycarbonate chains was observed , while a decrease in the optical energy gap (Eopt ) of the polycarbonate polymer with increasing the salt concentration was detected .However employing impedance spectroscopy in the frequency range 10Hz up to 106 Hz. reveals an increase in the dielectric permittivity and conductivity with increasing salt

The Impact of Water Price on the Financial Sustainability of the Palestinian Water Service Providers

The impactof water sales price on the performance of water service providers is typically something of a mystery. High prices mean more revenue and profit;but it may lead to less bills collection and encourage the illegal connections. Yet, this argument has not been fully addressed in the Palestinian water sector;this research evaluates the effect of average water prices on the financial sustainability key indicators as collection efficiency, profit or loss percentage, non-revenue water, staff productivity, daily consumption, operating, and maintenance cost. The average price of cubic meter sold is segmented into low, medium, and high categories. Multivariate analysis shows that there are significant differences in profit or working ratio, daily consumption, and operating cost based on the different price categories. Further significant differences have been found in non-revenue water, collection efficiency, and water production based on low and high price categories. On the other hand, no significant difference has been found in staff productivity. The results show high price set by Palestinian water providers, leads to an increase in the bill collection rate and profit margin. However, negative relationship has been found between the price on one hand, and non-revenue water, average daily consumption, and water production on the other hand. The implication of these findings reveal that the Palestinian water providers should increase water prices gradually to cover operating and maintenance cost for better financial performance and sustainability.

目的：介绍苏丹患者实施前单瓣外路泪囊鼻腔吻合术的手术效果。方法：我们对两百个接受了前单瓣外路泪囊鼻腔吻合术并有至少1a随访的连续病例的临床资料进行回顾性分析。手术是由同一名医生即第一作者施行的,患者在术后随访1a。1a后出现泪溢且探通冲洗无效视作手术失败。结果：本研究样本中患者的平均年龄为29.7a（范围：4-65a）。男女性别比例为1∶2。手术成功率是98%。有4例患者报告手术失败,其中两例是外伤性患者,有先前存在的眼眶畸形。结论：此研究进一步证实了前单瓣外路泪囊鼻腔吻合术的有效性。尽管这种手术技巧更加简易,其成功率与文献报道的传统手术方法的成功率具有可比性。

Chemical composition of acid lime leaves infected with <i>Candidatus</i>Phytoplasma aurantifolia

The production of acid lime (Citrus aurantifolia) has declined in many parts of the world due to phytoplasmal infection by “Candidatus Phytoplasma aurantifolia”. The resulting Witches’ Broom Disease of Lime (WBDL) causes stem and leaf proliferation and clustering that starts on a few branches and continues to spread until trees are killed within 5-7 years. Recent studies have shown that Phytoplasma alters the chemical composition of leaves. Leaves from WBDL-symptomatic lime trees were collected to determine their volatile compound composition. Phytoplasmal infection was confirmed by a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) assay using primers P1/P7 and R16F2n/R16R2 in direct and nested PCR, respectively. Restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) profiles of acid lime Phytoplasma were identical with those of WBDL Phytoplasma. The phytochemical composition of symptomatic (infected) and asymptomatic (healthy) leaves of acid lime were determined using GC-MS analysis of steam distilled extract. The WBDL-symptomatic leaves had higher concentration in ?-limonene, β-ocimene and trans-caryophyllene and a reduction in other compounds (i.e. citral, citronellal, cisverbenol, neryl acetate, and linalool). Variations in the leaf phytochemical concentration indicate a possible role in the development of the WBDL disease symptoms.

Microbial contamination and bacteria growth in the cementing makup water impact cementing operation and *** avoid the premature cement setting caused by microbial growth,the water is usually treated with biocides for microbial control before *** treatment will also prevent biodegradation of the added polymers and stabilize the slurry rheological ***-up water and cementing mix samples were collected from active drilling rigs in the *** 12 hours biocide addition program,the tested biocide at 50,100,250,and 500 ppm for cementing operations revealed acceptable control of both GAB and SRB numbers in one Field,but not in another *** 24 hours biocide addition program,revealed varying levels for control microbial contamination in cementing operations,with higher efficiency with Field B samples opposed to field A,and with better control at higher concentrations of tested biocide at 250,and 500 *** a recommendation therefore,usage of another biocide with a different chemistry at Field A is encouraged once a new biocide is selected.
