Dear editor,Traumatic orbital haemorrhage is an unfortunate complication with potential vision-threatening consequences.[1-3]The collection of blood can occur anywhere along the potential free orbital spaces,[4]but the subperiosteal collection of the blood is an important clinical variant where careful and timely intervention can give commendable rewards to the surgeon as well as to the patient.[1,2]Subperiosteal hematoma could be traumatic or non-traumatic,in turns,the non-traumatic cases may be due to bleeding tendency as in cases of leukaemia.

Communication is a significant part of being human and living in the *** kinds of languages and their variations are there;thus,one person can speak any language and cannot effectively communicate with one who speaks that language in a different *** application fields such as education,mobility,smart systems,security,and health care systems utilize the speech or voice recognition models ***,various studies are focused on the Arabic or Asian and English languages by ignoring other significant languages like Marathi that leads to the broader research motivations in regional *** is necessary to understand the speech recognition field,in which the major concentrated stages are feature extraction and *** paper emphasis developing a Speech Recognition model for the Marathi language by optimizing Recurrent Neural Network(RNN).Here,the preprocessing of the input signal is performed by smoothing and median *** preprocessing the feature extraction is carried out using MFCC and Spectral features to get precise features from the input Marathi Speech *** optimized RNN classifier is used for speech recognition after completing the feature extraction task,where the optimization of hidden neurons in RNN is performed by the Grasshopper Optimization Algorithm(GOA).Finally,the comparison with the conventional techniques has shown that the proposed model outperforms most competing models on a benchmark dataset.

Nepal was hit by a 7.8 magnitude earthquake on 25^(th) April,*** main shock and many large aftershocks generated a large number of coseismic landslips in central *** have developed a landslide susceptibility map of the affected region based on the coseismic landslides collected from remotely sensed data and fieldwork,using bivariate statistical model with different landslide causative *** the investigation,it is observed that most of the coseismic landslides are independent of previous *** of 3,716 mapped landslides,we used 80% of them to develop a susceptibility map and the remaining 20% were taken for validating the model.A total of 11 different landslide-influencing parameters were *** include slope gradient,slope aspect,plan curvature,elevation,relative relief,Peak Ground Acceleration(PGA),distance from epicenters of the mainshock and major aftershocks,lithology,distance of the landslide from the fault,fold,and drainage *** success rate of 87.66% and the prediction rate of86.87% indicate that the model is in good agreement between the developed susceptibility map and theexisting landslides ***,lithology,slope angle and elevation have played a major role in triggering the coseismic mass *** susceptibility map can be used for relocating the people in the affected regions as well as for future land development.

Incidence, clinical features and para-clinical findings of achalasia in Algeria: Experience of 25 years

AIM To investigate the incidence of achalasia in Algeria and to determine its clinical and para-clinical profile. To evaluate the impact of continuing medical education(CME) on the incidence of this *** From 1990 to 2014, 1256 patients with achalasia were enrolled in this prospective study. A campaign of CME on diagnosis involving different regions of the country was conducted between 1999 and 2003. Annual incidence and prevalence were calculated by relating the number of diagnosed cases to 105 inhabitants. Each patient completed a standardized questionnaire, and underwent upper endoscopy, barium swallow and esophageal manometry. We systematically looked for Allgrove syndrome and familial *** The mean annual incidence raised from 0.04(95%CI: 0.028-0.052) during the 1990 s to 0.27/105 inhabitants/year(95%CI: 0.215-0.321) during the 2000 s. The incidence of the disease was two and half times higher in the north and the center compared to the south of the country. One-hundred-and-twenty-nine(10%) were children and 97(7.7%) had Allgrove syndrome. Familial achalasia was noted in 18 different families. Patients had dysphagia(99%), regurgitation(83%), chest pain(51%), heartburn 24.5% and weight loss(70%). The lower esophageal sphincter was hypertensive in 53% and hypotensive in 0.6%.CONCLUSION The mean incidence of achalasia in Algeria is at least 0.27/105 inhabitants. A good impact on the incidence of CME was noted. A gradient of incidence between different regions of the country was found. This variability is probably related to genetic and environmental factors. The discovery of an infantile achalasia must lead to looking for Allgrove syndrome and similar cases in the family.

AIM： To evaluate the causes and associations of missed retinal breaks（MRBs） and posterior vitreous detachment（PVD） in patients with rhegmatogenous retinal detachment（RRD）.METHODS： Case sheets of patients undergoing vitreo retinal surgery for RRD at a tertiary eye care centre were evaluated retrospectively. Out of the 378 records screened, 253 were included for analysis of MRBs and191 patients were included for analysis of PVD,depending on the inclusion criteria. Features of RRD and retinal breaks noted on examination were compared to the status of MRBs and PVD detected during surgery for possible ***： Overall, 27% patients had MRBs. Retinal holes were commonly missed in patients with lattice degeneration while missed retinal tears were associated with presence of complete PVD. Patients operated for cataract surgery were significantly associated with MRBs（P =0.033） with the odds of missing a retinal break being1.91 as compared to patients with natural lens. Advanced proliferative vitreo retinopathy（PVR） and retinal bullae were the most common reasons for missing a retinal break during examination. PVD was present in 52% of the cases and was wrongly assessed in 16%. Retinal bullae,pseudophakia/aphakia, myopia, and horse shoe retinal tears were strongly associated with presence of *** RRDs were rarely associated with PVD. CONCLUSION： Pseudophakic patients, and patients with retinal bullae or advanced PVR should be carefully screened for MRBs. Though Weiss ring is a good indicator of PVD, it may still be over diagnosed in some cases. PVD is associated with retinal bullae and pseudophakia, and inversely with traumatic RRD.

Indian agriculture is striving to achieve sustainable intensification,the system aiming to increase agricultural yield per unit area without harming natural resources and the *** farming employs technology to improve *** and accurate analysis and diagnosis of plant disease is very helpful in reducing plant diseases and improving plant health and food crop *** disease experts are not available in remote areas thus there is a requirement of automatic low-cost,approachable and reliable solutions to identify the plant diseases without the laboratory inspection and expert’s *** learning-based computer vision techniques like Convolutional Neural Network(CNN)and traditional machine learning-based image classification approaches are being applied to identify plant *** this paper,the CNN model is proposed for the classification of rice and potato plant leaf *** leaves are diagnosed with bacterial blight,blast,brown spot and tungro *** leaf images are classified into three classes:healthy leaves,early blight and late blight *** leaf dataset with 5932 images and 1500 potato leaf images are used in the *** proposed CNN model was able to learn hidden patterns from the raw images and classify rice images with 99.58%accuracy and potato leaves with 97.66%*** results demonstrate that the proposed CNN model performed better when compared with other machine learning image classifiers such as Support Vector Machine(SVM),K-Nearest Neighbors(KNN),Decision Tree and Random Forest.
