Microstructure and mechanical properties of ball-milled Al-8 wt pct ni ribbon have been investigated by X-ray diffraction （XRd） and continuous Vickers hardness test, respectively. The results indicate that, the main phases of this alloy are α-Al and orthorhombic-Al3ni. The lattice parameter of α-Al increases with increasing milling time. From the elastic constant of Al, the average contrast factors of the （111）, （200）, （220）, （311） and （222） Bragg＇s reflections for pure edge and pure screw dislocations in fcc crystals with α/2〈110〉{111} slip system were calculated. The average grain size and dislocation parameters as a function Of milling time have been investigated using the modified Williamson-hall plot and the Warren-Averbach equation, *** attempt has been made to correlate the micro-hardness of milled ribbon with their grain size through the hall-Patch relationship：HV0.01 = 742.45 〈 d 〉^-1/2 ＋401.55 （kg/mm^2）.

data on the presence of organophosphate esters(OPEs)in drinking water and its significance as a pathway of exposure are *** this study,we measure for the first time,concentrations of eight OPEs in 50 UK drinking water *** mean concentrations of ∑8OPEs were:6.4 and 11 ng/L in bottled(n=25)and tap water samples(n=25),*** of ∑8OPEs in tap water(mean:11 ng/L)exceed significantly those in bottled water(mean:6.4 ng/L)(p˂0.01).Moreover,UK tap water is more contaminated with chlorinated,aryl-,and alkyl-OPEs than bottled *** predominant OPEs detected were:tris(butoxyethyl)phosphate(TBOEP),tris(2-chloroethyl)phosphate(TCEP),and tris(2-chloroisopropyl)phosphate(TCIPP)with arithmetic mean concentrations in the two water sample types ranging between(3.5e3.8 ng/L),(0.60-3.0 ng/L),and(1.02-2.9 ng/L),*** daily intakes(EdIs)(mean and high-end exposure)via drinking water for different sectors of the UK population were:infants(0.93 and 6.4 ng/kg bw/day)˃toddlers(0.46 and 3.1 ng/kg bw/day)˃children(0.35 and 2.3 ng/kg bw/day)˃adults(0.28 and 2.1 ng/kg bw/day).Based on these data,exposure to ∑8OPEs via drinking water is much lower than via:food,indoor dust ingestion,inhalation,and dermal uptake for adults and ***,our EdIs were lower than relevant reference dose(Rfd)***,combining our drinking water ingestion data with exposure via other pathways revealed overall exposure to 2-ethylhexyl diphenyl phosphate(EHdPP)and TCIPP to approach health-based limit values for UK toddlers under a high-end exposure scenario.

BACKGROUnd:Studies looking at the effect of hospital teaching status on septic shock related in-hospital mortality are *** aim of this study was to examine the effect of hospital teaching status on mortality in septic shock patients in the United ***:This was a retrospective observational study,using the nationwide Emergency department Sample database(released in 2018).All patients with septic shock were *** sample logistic regression was performed to assess the impact of hospital teaching status on patient ***:A total of 388,552 septic shock patients were included in the *** average age was 66.93 years and 51.7%were *** of the patients presented to metropolitan teaching hospitals(68.2%)and 31.8%presented to metropolitan non-teaching *** shock patients presenting to teaching hospitals were found to have a higher percentage of medical comorbidities,were more likely to be intubated and placed on mechanical ventilation(50.5%vs.46.9%)and had a longer average length of hospital stay(12.47 d vs.10.20 d).Septic shock patients presenting to teaching hospitals had greater odds of in-hospital mortality compared to those presenting to metropolitan non-teaching hospitals(adjusted odd ratio[OR]=1.295,95%confidence interval[CI]:1.256-1.335).COnCLUSIOn:Septic shock patients presenting to metropolitan teaching hospitals had significantly higher risks of mortality than those presenting to metropolitan non-teaching *** also had higher rates of intubation and mechanical ventilation as well as longer lengths of hospital stay than those in non-teaching hospitals.

Objective: The chemo-preventative and therapeutic properties of selenium nanoparticles(Se nPs) have been documented over recent decades and suggest the potential uses of Se nPs in medicine. Biogenic Se nPs have higher biocompatibility and stability than chemically synthesized nanoparticles, which enhances their medical applications, especially in the field of cancer therapy. This study evaluated the potential of green-synthetized Se nPs by using berberine(Ber) as an antitumor agent and elucidated the mechanism by which these molecules combat Ehrlich solid tumors(ESTs).Methods: Se nPs containing Ber(Se nPs-Ber) were synthesized using Ber and na2 Se O3 and characterized with Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. Sixty male Swiss albino mice were then acclimatized for one week, injected with Ehrlich ascites tumor cells, and divided into four groups: EST, EST + cisplatin(5 mg/kg), EST + Ber(20 mg/kg), and EST + Se nPs-Ber(0.5 mg/kg). At the end of a 16-day observation period, 12 mice from each group were euthanized to analyze differences in the body weight, tumor size,gene expression, and oxidative stress markers in the four groups. Three mice from each group were kept alive to compare the survival ***: Treatment with Se nPs-Ber significantly improved the survival rate and decreased the body weight and tumor size, compared to the EST group. Se nPs-Ber reduced oxidative stress in tumor tissue,as indicated by a decrease in the lipid peroxidation and nitric oxide levels and an increase in the glutathione levels. Moreover, Se nPs-Ber activated an apoptotic cascade in the tumor cells by downregulating the B-cell lymphoma 2(Bcl-2) expression rate and upregulating the Bcl-2-associated X protein and caspase-3 expression rates. A translucent wooden substrate with long-lasting phosphorescence,high photostability and durability,tough surface,ultraviolet protection,high optical transmittance,and superhydrophobicity was *** long-lasting phosphorescent wooden substrate is able to continue emitting light for extended time ***-modified wood(LMW)was immobilized with a solution of epoxy resin(ER)and rare-earth doped aluminate(REdA)phosphor nanoparticles(nPs).For an improved dispersion of pigment,REdA was synthesized in a nanoscale particle size,and characterized by transmission electron microscopy(TEM)to indicate a particle size of 8-14 *** crystal structure of REdA nanoparticles was also proved by X-ray diffraction(XRd).For an improved production of long-persistent phosphorescent colo rless woods,REdA must be well-dispersed in MAA without *** and emissio n,as well as decay and lifetime spectra were *** morphologies of the wooden substrates with different ratios of REdA were investigated by scanning electron microscopy(SEM),X-ray fluorescence(XRF)analysis,Fourier transform infrared spectra(FT-IR),elemental mapping,and energy-dispersion Xray(EdXA).The phosphorescent woods show changes in color from colorless to green under ultraviolet(UV)irradiation,and to yellowish-green in the dark,as proved by the colorimetric parameters of the CIE Lab *** afterglow wood samples display an absorbance band at 365 nm and two phosphorescent bands at 431 and 520 *** UV shielding,photostability,and hydrophobicity were *** increasing REdA ratio,both static contact and slide angles are found to improve in the ranges of147.6°-163.6°and 9°-14°,*** long-lasting photoluminescence is optimized at a REdA ratio of 8%.The present strategy shows a large-scale production approach of multiple functional woods for many potential applications,such as smart glow in the dark windows and safety signs.

The addition of magnetic Co0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4 nanoparticles to the superconducting Cu0.5Tl0.5-1223 phase has been used to investigate the electrical resistivity behavior of the composite above the superconducting transition temperature T c. This was studied according to the opening of spin gap and fluctuation conductivity. The results indicated that the pseudogap temperature (T*) and superconducting fluctuation temperature (T scf) change by increasing the addition of Co0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4 nanoparticles. It was found that T* is related to hole carrier concentration P and it also depends on the antiferromagnetic fluctuation affected by magnetic nanoparticles. The excess-conductivity analysis showed four different fluctuation regions started from high temperature up to T c, and they were denoted by short wave (sw), two-dimensional (2d), three-dimensional (3d), and critical (cr) fluctuations. The crossover temperature between 3d and 2d (T 3d–2d) in the mean field region was decreased by increasing the addition of Co0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4 nanoparticles, in accordance with the decrease in T scf with x. The coherence length at 0 K along c-axis ξ c(0), effective layer thickness of the 2d system d, and inter-layer coupling strength J were estimated as a function of Co0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4 nanoparticle addition. Moreover, the thermodynamics, lower and upper critical magnetic fields, as well as critical current density have been calculated from the Ginzburg number n G. It was found that the low concentration of Co0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4 nanoparticles up to x = 0.08 wt% improves the superconducting parameters of Cu0.5Tl0.5-1223 phase. On the contrary, these parameters were deteriorated for (Co0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4) x /Cu0.5Tl0.5-1223 composite with x > 0.08 wt%.

In this work, the AFORS-HET digital simulation software was used to calculate the electrical characteristics of the cell/n-ZnO/i-ZnO/n-Zn (O, S)/p-CIGSe2/p + -MoSe2/Mo/SLG. When the thickness of the CIGSe2 absorber is between 3.5 and 1.5 μm, the efficiency of the cell with an interfacial layer of MoSe2 remains almost constant, with an efficiency of about 24.6%, higher to that of a conventional cell which is 23.4% for a thickness of 1.5 μm of CIGSe2. To achieve the expected results, the MoSe2 layer must be very thin less than or equal to 30 nm. In addition, a Schottky barrier height greater than 0.45 eV severely affects the fill factor and the open circuit voltage of the solar cell with MoSe2 interface layer.

磷石膏(PG)是磷酸生产工业的主要副产物,被认为是稀土元素(REEs)最重要的二次来源之一。本研究重点是回收PG中存在的REEs和残留的磷酸盐的同时,保留CaSO_(4),以用于其他各种应用。这些成果是采用柠檬酸浸出工艺实现的。研究了几个参数对柠檬酸浸出回收稀土的影响,包括浸泡时间、浸泡温度、柠檬酸浓度、固液比以及柠檬酸浸出溶液在进一步的稀土溶解实验中的循环利用。最佳操作条件为室温浸泡时间14 d,柠檬酸浓度为7.5%,固液比为1/5。优化条件下稀土的溶解效率为79.57%。将不同的新鲜PG样品与相同的柠檬酸溶液依次混合浸泡4个阶段,在最佳浸泡条件下,稀土的累积溶解效率为64.7%。采用dowex 50X8树脂从柠檬酸溶液中回收稀土,萃取效率为96%。溶解动力学证明了稀土的伪一级性质、溶解过程为可逆反应,存在两个活化能。

The memory devices in multi-valued logic are of most significance in modern research. This paper deals with the imple-mentation of basic memory devices in multi-valued logic using Savart plate and spatial light modulator (SLM) based optoelectronic circuits. Photons are used here as the carrier to speed up the operations. Optical tree architecture (OTA) has been also utilized in the optical interconnection network. We have exploited the advantages of Savart plates,SLMs and OTA and proposed the SLM based high speed JK,d-type and T-type flip-flops in a trinary system.
