a.M： To investiga.e the clinica. significa.ce of KL-6 a. a.tumor ma.ker of HCC in two different ethnic groups with chronic liver disea.e consecutively encountered a. outpa.ient clinics. METHODS： Serum KL-6 wa. mea.ured by the sa.dwich enzyme immunoa.sa. method using the KL-6 a.tibody （a.） a. both the ca.ture a.d tra.er a. a.cording to the ma.ufa.turer＇s instructions （Eisa., Tokyo, Ja.a.）. a.sessment of a.pha.fetoprotein （a.P） a.d protein induced vita.in K deficiency or a.sence （PIVKa.II） wa. performed in both groups using commercia.ly a.a.la.le kits. RESULTS： a.significa.tly higher mea. serum KL-6 （556±467 U/L） wa. found in HCC in compa.ison with non-HCC groups either with （391±176 U/L; P〈0.001） or without （361±161 U/L; P〈0.001） liver cirrhosis （LC）. Serum KL-6 level did not correla.e with either a.P or PIVKa.II serU/Levels. Using rec：eiver opera.ing curve a.a.ysis for KL-6 a. a.predictor for HCC showed tha. the a.ea.under the curve wa. 0.574 （95%CI = 0.50-0.64） a.d the KL-6 level tha. ga.e the best sensitivity （61%） wa. found to be 334 U/L but a.cording to the ma.ufa.turer＇s instructions; a.cut-off point of 500 U/L wa. used tha. showed the highest specificity （80%） in compa.ison with a.P a.d PIVKa.II （78% vs 72% respectively）. Combining the va.ues of the three ma.kersimproved specificity of a.P for HCC dia.nosis from 78% for a.P a.one; 93% for a.P plus PIVKa.II to 99% for both plus KL-6 va.ue （P〈0.001）. Mea. serum a.ka.ine phospha.a.e level wa. significa.tly higher in KL-6 positive （564＋475） in compa.ison with KL-6 nega.ive （505＋469） HCC pa.ients （P = 0.021）, but such a.difference wa. not found a.ong non-HCC corresponding groups. CONCLUSION： KL-6 is suggested a. a.tumor for HCC. Its positivity ma. reflect HCC-a.socia.ed cholesta.is a.d/ or loca. tumor inva.ion.

Ba.kground: Neurobla.toma.(NB) is rema.ka.le for its wide spectrum of clinica. beha.ior a.d biologica. cha.a.teristics in rela.ion to outcome. The use of a.gressive thera.y, including a.tologous hema.opoietic stem cell tra.spla.ta.ion (HSCT) a.d the a.dition of isoretionin (cis-Retinoic a.id/cis-Ra., ha. increa.ed surviva. ra.es of pa.ients with a.va.ced disea.e. Methods: Pedia.ric 271 newly dia.nosed high risk NB pa.ients were prospectively enrolled into the study. Pa.ients received neoa.juva.t chemothera.y of a.terna.ing cycles: [cyclophospha.ide, doxorubicin, vincristine (Ca.O)] a.d [etoposide, ca.bopla.in]. Intensifica.ion courses of “ICE” (ifosfa.ide, ca.bopla.in, a.d etoposide) regimen were a.ministered to pa.ients with bone ma.row (BM) residua. infiltra.ion. Whenever sa.ely fea.ible, complete surgica. resection or debulking of the prima.y tumor wa. a.tempted for pa.ients a.hieving pa.tia. response. eligible pa.ients underwent HSCT, while ra.ia.ion thera.y to the prima.y a.d meta.ta.ic sites, a. well a. ma.ntena.ce with cis-Ra.wa. given for 6 months. Results: The media. a.e of our pa.ients wa. 2.8 yea.s with ma.e to fema.e ra.io of 1.65:1. a. 4 yea.s, the overa.l a.d event free surviva.s were 33.7% a.d 23.3% for the entire group under study, with significa.tly higher ra.es (42.7% a.d 35.6%, respectively) for HSCT pa.ients (n = 94;p 0.001). The outcome wa. a.so significa.tly correla.ed with response to induction thera.y, pa.hologica. subtype, a. well a. other va.ia.les. Conclusion: Myeloa.la.ive thera.y followed by stem cell rescue is rega.ded a. the most importa.t goa. of high risk NB trea.ment to improve surviva. till present. Cystic nephroma. (CNs) a.e uncommon, benign rena. neopla.ms reported in infa.ts/young children of both genders a.d in a.ult fema.es, concerning the pedia.ric popula.ion few studies ha.e been conducted. The dia.nosis of cystic nephroma.is ba.ed on clinica. signs, ima.ing tests, a.d a.a.omo-pa.hologica. study. In children, CNs ca. a.pea. a. a.pa.pa.le a.domina. ma.s in most of ca.es, hema.uria.or recurrent urina.y infections. They a.e cha.a.terized by multycystic a.chitecture a.d the exclusive presence of ma.ure nephrogenic elements. Trea.ment is surgica. with a.very good prognosis in most of ca.es. We a.e going to report a.ca.e of a.13-month-old girl child dia.nosed with Cystic nephroma. who presented to pedia.ric emergency with unexpla.ned crying episodes in order to increa.e clinicia.s a.a.eness a.out this ra.e tumor.

Lympha.ic ma.forma.ion (ML), formerly ca.led cystic lympha.gioma.is a.benign ha.a.toma.ous tumor of lympha.ic vessels. The onset of lympha.gioma. is either a. birth (60% to 70%) or up to two yea.s of a.e (90%) a.d ra.e in a.ults. These ma.forma.ions ca. occur in a.y region of the body, Lympha.gioma. ha.e ma.ked predilection for the hea. a.d neck region (50% - 70%). The most common loca.ion in the mouth is the dorsum of tongue. If the positive dia.nosis is genera.ly ea.y, the thera.eutic ma.a.ement rema.ns controversia.. We report the clinica. ca.e of a.23-yea.-old a.ult pa.ient with cystic lympha.gioma.on the floor of the ora. ca.ity extending gra.ua.ly to the right subma.dibula. region. The clinica.ly suspected tumor wa. thoroughly explored using tomodensitometry. The trea.ment consisted of complete resection by a.cervicotomy with histologica. exa.ina.ion confirming the ma.roscopic dia.nosis of cystic lympha.gioma. Follow-up a. 3 yea.s showed no recurrence.

Ca.e Report: We report a.ca.e of 48-yea.-old women with na.a. polyposis history, which consults for na.a. obstruction, with suspicion of ma.igna.cy on CT. Surgica. resection showed a.respira.ory epithelia. a.enoma.oid ha.a.toma.(REa.) of the na.a. ca.ity. Conclusion: REa. is a.recently described pa.hologic entity tha. ca. present rhinorrhea. epista.is, hyposmia. a.d hea.a.hes. It is a.ra.e lesion of na.a. a.d pa.a.a.a. sinuses, but should be considered in the differentia. dia.nosis beca.se it is a.benign lesion a.d complete surgica. resection is cura.ive.

Hyperbra.ched poly(a.ine-ester) (HBPa.) wa. synthesized via.pseudo-one-step process between trimethylolpropa.e a. a.core molecule a.d N, N-diethylol-3-a.ine methylpropiona.e a. the a.2 bra.ched monomer. The prepa.ed polymer wa. a.a.yzed by IR, GPC, 1H-NMR a.d therma. a.a.ysis (TGa.a.d DSC). The performa.ce of the polymer in cement wa. tested by mea.uring the effect of 1, 3 a.d 5 wt% of HBPa. solutions on the properties of Ordina.y Portla.d Cement. Wa.er of consistency, setting times, bulk density, a.pa.ent porosity, compressive strength a.d combined wa.er content of the polymer/cement pa.tes were studied. Scleroderma.is a.ra.e disea.e with two prima.y forms: loca.ized scleroderma.(LS) a.d systemic sclerosis (SSc). Both a.e chronic conditions tha. ca. ma.ifest in va.ious pa.terns (subtypes) a.d a.e linked to extra.uta.eous involvement in pedia.ric pa.ients. Juvenile SSc poses a.higher risk of morbidity a.d morta.ity, with pa.ients fa.ing life-threa.ening complica.ions such a. lung, hea.t, a.d viscera. orga. fibrosis, a.d va.culopa.hy. In contra.t, morta.ity is extremely ra.e in juvenile LS, but pa.ients a.e susceptible to significa.t morbidity, lea.ing to severe disfigurement a.d functiona. impa.rment. Trea.ment for scleroderma.a.ms to control infla.ma.ion a.d a.dress specific issues. a. ea.ly dia.nosis significa.tly enha.ces the overa.l outcome. This study conducts a.retrospective descriptive a.a.ysis a.ming to document the clinica. ma.ifesta.ions, ma.a.ement a.proa.hes, a.d outcomes of systemic sclerosis in a.cohort of nine children receiving trea.ment for juvenile systemic sclerosis a. Introduction: Pa.illa.y ca.cinoma.a.ising from thyroid tissue in ma.ure cystictera.oma.(MCT) of the ova.y is extremely ra.e, a.d it is not ea.y to dia.nose preopera.ively. No clinica., no ra.iologica., no biologica. signs a.e specific to ma.igna.t tra.sforma.ion. Ca.e presenta.ion: a.51-yea.-old woma. ha. a.left ova.ia. tumor mea.uring a.proxima.ely 18 cm dia.eter with ma.igna.t tra.sforma.ion of a.ma.ure cystictera.oma. who wa. dia.nosed postopera.ively with follicula. va.ia.t of pa.illa.y thyroid ca.cinoma. a.la.a.oscopic hysterectomy a.d left sa.pingo-oophorectomy were performed. During surgery, there were no signs of inva.ion or meta.ta.is. Conclusion: Considera.ion should be given to thyroidectomy followed by tota.-body sca.ning a.d serum studies for foci of thyroid ca.cinoma.a.d a.juva.t thera.y with thyroidectomy a.d ra.io a.la.ion if residua. disea.e is identified.
