Background The response to antenatal care(ANC)for maternal and offspring outcomes,especially in pregnant women has been thoroughly ***,despite the number of interventional studies on the treatment of sulfadoxine-pyrimethamine combination(IPTp-sP)uptake,the point in point cases of the positive responses of ANC in improving health conditions of pregnant women are not found in the *** sources This review collected ANC responses to the positive health outcomes for pregnant women with malaria,the challenges faced regarding IPTp-sP uptake during ANC visits and the role of ANC in preventing and controlling malaria in sub-saharan *** elucidated ANC and uptake of optimal intermitent preventive IPTp-sP and further described ANC as a tool for heterogeneity for malaria *** ANC is seen as a microscope to malaria in pregnacy,maternal iron deficiency and anemia checkpoints,ANC and malaria treatment strategies,and ANC and the use of insecticide treated nets(ITN).The review further discussed ANC attendance influencing factors,limitations to ANC implications and the prospects in ANC visits on preventing malaria in *** A declining trend of malaria transmission in Africa has been observed in recent ***,the burden of malaria in pregnancy remains a health *** rate of sP resistance,low uptake of IPTp-sP,low LLINs distribution,late gestational ANC visits and low turnaround for optimal ANC visits for first time mothers’aggrevated the malaria-endemic settings among pregnant women in sub-saharan Africa.

Reactive oxygen species(ROs)play a vital role in cell signaling and redox regulation,but when present in excess,lead to numerous *** quantitative characterization of mitochondrial superoxide anion(O^(·-)_(2))production in fetal pulmonary artery endothelia cells(PAECs)has never been *** aim of this study is to assess mitochondrial O^(·-)_(2)pro-duction in cultured PAECs over time using a novel quantitative optical *** rate,the sources,and the dynamics of O^(·-)_(2)production were assessed using targeted metabolic modulators of the mitochondrial electron transport chain(ETC)complexes,specifically an uncoupler and inhibitors of the various ETC complexes,and inhibitors of extra-mitochondrial sources of O^(·-)_(2).After stabilization,the cells.were loaded with nanomolar mitochondrial-targeted hydroethidine(Mito-HE,MitosOX)online during the experiment without washout of the residual ***-lapse fuorescence microscopy was used to monitor the dynamic changes in O^(·-)_(2)fluorescence intensity over time in *** transient behaviors of the fuorescence time course showed exponential increases in the rate of O^(·-)_(2) production in the presence of the ETC uncoupler or *** most dramatic and the fastest increase in O^(·-)_(2)production was observed when the cells.were treated with the uncoupling agent,*** also showed that only the complex IV inhibitor,KCN,attenuated the marked surge in O^(·-)_(2)production induced by *** results showed that mitochondrial respiratory complexes I,III and IV are sources of O^(·-)_(2) production in PAECs,and a new observation that ROs production during uncoupling of mitochondrial res-piration is mediated in part via complex *** novel method can be applied in other studies that examine ROs production under stress condition and during ROs mediated injuries in vritro.

Optimization and application of blasting parameters based on the "pushing-wall" mechanism

The large structure parameter of a sublevel caving method was used in Beiminghe iron mine. The ores.were generally lower than the medium hardness and easy to be driUed and blasted. However, the questions of boulder yield, ＂pushing-wall＂ accident rate, and brow damage rate were not effectively controlled in practical blasting. The model test of a similar material shows that the charge concentration of bottom blastholes in the sector is too high; the pushing wall is the fundamental reason for the poor blasting effect. One of the main methods to adjust the explosive distribution is to increase the length of charged blastholes. Therefore, the field tests.with respect to increasing the length of uncharged blastholes.were made in 12# stope of-95 subsection and 6# stope of Beiminghe iron mine. This paper took the test result of 12# stope as an example to analyze the impact of charge structure on blasting effect and design an appropriate blasting parameter that is to similar to No. 12 stope.

Evaluation of Nutritional Composition of Two Fonio Ecotypes Grown in Casamance (sénégal)

In order to better understand the cultural route, biochemical and nutritional composition of two ecotypes of fonio, a study was carried out in village of Tambananing located approximately 7 km from sédhiou. The objective of studies.was to determine nutritional composition of two ecotypes of fonio: the first called momo in short-cycle mandinka (75 - 90 days) and the other called medium-cycle dibong (90 - 110 days). For this, samples of two ecotypes.were collected in an experimental field which was split into two equal parts, one s.wn with the momo ecotype and the other with the dibong ecotype. The nutritional composition (sugars, fats, proteins, minerals, ash, etc.) and the physicochemical properties (pH, humidity, water activity, color, etc.) of fonio’s.were determined by appropriate physicochemical methods. The two ecotypes exhibited quite similar physicochemical properties. The levels of biochemical compounds.were relatively close with protein contents of 7.05 ± 0.06 mg/100g for the momo ecotype and of 8.02 ± 0.04 mg/100g for the dibong ecotype, in carbohydrates (76.37 ± 1.2 mg/100g for momo and 78.7 ± 1.5 mg/100g for dibong) and in fat (2.92 ± 0.05 mg/100g for momo and 3.14 ± 0.004 mg/100g for dibong). Identical mineral element contents.were found except for iron, an element for which the contents.were 10.80 ± 0.008 mg/100g for the momo ecotype and 99.59 ± 0.005 mg/100g for the dibong ecotype. Thus, two ecotypes of fonio present a fairly interesting nutritional composition and their consumption deserves to be popularized and could contribute effectively to fight against the problems of malnutrition of certain vulnerable groups.

spatial-temporal distribution of neglected tropical diseases burdens in China from 2005 to 2020

Background Out of the 21 neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) listed by the world Health Organization, 15 affect the People’s Republic of China. Despite significant achievements in controlling NTDs, comprehensive assessments of the disease burden based on actual case data and detailed information on spatial and temporal dynamics are still lacking. This study aims to assess the disease burden and spatial-temporal distribution of NTDs in China from 2005 to 2020, to provide a reference for the formulation of national health agendas in line with the global health agenda, and guide resource *** The number of cases and deaths of major NTDs in China from 2005 to 2020 were downloaded from the China Public Health science Data Center (https://***/share/***) of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention and relevant literatures. simplified formulas for disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) helped estimate the years of life lost (YLLs), years lived with disability (YLDs), and total DALYs. spatial autocor-relation analysis of the average NTDs burden data for the years 2005 to 2020 was evaluated using Moran’sI *** China’s overall NTDs burden decreased significantly, from 245,444.53 DALYs in 2005 to 18,984.34 DALYs in 2020, marking a reduction of 92.27%. In 2005, the DALYs caused by schistosomiasis and rabies represent a substantial proportion of the total disease burden, accounting for 65.37% and 34.43% respectively. In 2015, Hunan and sichuan provinces had the highest diversity of NTDs, with 9 and 8 number of different NTDs reported respectively. And the highest disease burden was observed in sichuan (242,683.46 DALYs), Xizang Zizhiqu (178,318.99 DALYs) and Guangdong (154,228.31 DALYs). Agro-Climatic Risks Analysis in Climate Variability Context in ségou Region

In the sahel region, the population depends largely on rain-fed agriculture. In west Africa in particular, climate models turn out to be unable to capture some basic features of present-day climate variability. This study proposes a contribution to the analysis of the evolution of agro-climatic risks in the context of climate variability. some statistical tests are used on the main variables of the rainy season to determine the trends and the variabilities described by the data series. Thus, the paper provides a statistical modeling of the different agro-climatic risks.while the seasonal variability of agro-climatic parameters.was analyzed as.well as their inter annual variability. The study identifies the probability distributions of agroclimatic risks and the characterization of the rainy season was clarified.

Improving Global Performance on GPU for Algorithms.with Main Loop Containing a Reduction Operation: Case of Dijkstra’s Algorithm

In this paper, we study the impact of copying data in GPU computing. GPU computing allows implementing parallel computations at low cost: a GPU can be purchased at under UsD 500. Many studies have shown that GPU can be used to speed up the calculations. But for algorithms requiring doing a part of the calculations on GPU and another part on CPU, alternately, latency due to the copy of the data is a performance degradation factor. To illustrate this, we consider the Dijkstra’s algorithm on the shortest path used in solving optimization problems. This algorithm is very heavy to run on sequential machine. so, we are considering a parallel approach on GPU. Note that Dijkstra’s algorithm has been subject of many implementations on GPU. In the present work, we use two platforms.with external GPU. Graphs are represented in adjacency matrix. During the computation of this algorithm, intermediates results are copied from GPU to CPU or from CPU to GPU. The purpose of this.work is to measure the impact of these copies in the overall performance of the algorithm. For that we calculate time due to the copying data’s implementation;then we compare results.with implementation computing only on CPU memory (zero-copy). The real impact shown by experiments demonstrates the interest of this study. GP-GPU programmers have to think that they will use either memory zero-copy or GPU memory. The challenge for GPU’s manufacturers is how to reduce this impact.

Comparative study of the Parallelization of the smith-waterman Algorithm on OpenMP and Cuda C

In this paper, we present parallel programming approaches to calculate the values of the cells in matrix’s scoring used in the smith-waterman’s algorithm for sequence alignment. This algorithm, well known in bioinformatics for its applications, is unfortunately time-consuming on a serial computer. we use formulation based on anti-diagonals structure of data. This representation focuses on parallelizable parts of the algorithm without changing the initial formulation of the algorithm. Approaching data in that way give us a formulation more flexible. To examine this approach, we encode it in OpenMP and Cuda C. The performance obtained shows the interest of our paper.

Identification of Antioxidant Additives in Food Products sold in Dakar Markets

The use of food additives in industrial production has the advantage of improving sensory properties, technological quality and extending the shelf life of foods. Among the most widely used additives are antioxidants, which prevent oxidation, browning and rancidity reactions in foods. However, the strong presence of these additives on the market is not without risks for human health, and should be controlled to guarantee food safety. Analysis of the risks associated with consumption of foods containing these additives requires, among other things, information on the frequency of use of these additives in various consumer products. The aim of this study is therefore to identify the antioxidants present in industrial food products distributed in Dakar. The methodology adopted consists of a qualitative analysis based on the identification of additives from food labels. Investigations.were carried out in 9 stores, 4 superettes and 2 supermarkets located in different districts of Dakar. The results revealed the presence of 12 antioxidant additives, dominated by citric acid (53%) and ascorbic acid (29%). These studies have also highlighted the simultaneous use of several antioxidants in the same food product. Moreover, for some artificial antioxidants identified antioxydant such as BHA and BHT, health risks are associated with their consumption. The results of this study open up prospects for the development of information databases on food additives.
