Background:There exist few maximal oxygen uptake(VO_(2max))non-exercise-based prediction equations,fewer using machine learning(mL),and none specifically for older *** direct measurement of VO_(2max)is infeasible in large epidemiologic cohort studies,we sought to develop,validate,compare,and assess the transportability of several mL VO_(2max)prediction ***:The Baltimore Longitudinal Study of Aging(BLSA)participants with valid VO2_(max)tests were included(n=1080).Least absolute shrinkage and selection operator,linear-and tree-boosted extreme gradient boosting,random forest,and support vector machine(SVm)algorithms were trained to predict VO_(2max)*** developed these algorithms for:(a)the overall BLSA,(b)by sex,(c)using all BLSA variables,and(d)variables common in aging ***,we quantified the associations between measured and predicted VO_(2max)and ***:The age was 69.0±10.4 years(mean±SD)and the measured VO_(2max)was 21.6±5.9 mL/kg/*** absolute shrinkage and selection operator,linear-and tree-boosted extreme gradient boosting,random forest,and support vector machine yielded root mean squared errors of 3.4 mL/kg/min,3.6 mL/kg/min,3.4 mL/kg/min,3.6 mL/kg/min,and 3.5 mL/kg/min,*** quartiles of measured VO_(2max)showed an inverse gradient in mortality *** VO_(2max)variables yielded similar effect estimates but were not robust to ***:measured VO_(2max)is a strong predictor of *** mL can improve the accuracy of prediction as compared to simpler approaches but estimates of association with mortality remain sensitive to *** studies should seek to reproduce these results so that VO_(2max),an important vital sign,can be more broadly studied as a modifiable target for promoting functional resiliency and healthy aging.

Objective To determine the prevalence of U. urealyticum and m. hominis in semen samples collected from men admitted in clinic for infertility, and to compare the quality of these semen samples.methods A total of 1 058 semen samples collected were investigated. Sperm semiological assays were performed according to the guidelines of the World Health Organisation （WHO）. Semen were examined by mycoplasma IST for the detection of mycoplasma. Semen culture on agar media was used to detect other microorganisms. Chlamydia was detected using direct fluorescent assay （DFA） of Clamydia Trachomatis.Results among 1 058 semen samples, microorganisms were detected in 638 （60.3%）. The infected sperms consisted of mycoplasma alone in 507 cases （47.9%）, mycoplasma and other microorganisms in 98 （9.3%）, giving in all 605 （57.2%） samples infected with mycoplasma. The last 33 （3.1%） consisted of other microorganisms alone. The frequency of U. urealyticum, m. hominis and mixed genital infections detected in semen samples of infertile men were 39%, 23.8% and 5.6%, respectively. The rates of abnormal semen parameters recorded among patients infected with mycoplasma were for volume （22.2%-25%）, viscosity （29.6%-43.5%）, pH （64.7%-72.9%）, motility （80.8%-93.8%）, morphology （36.3%-47.9%）, sperm concentration （53.3%-58.3%） and leukocyte count （51.4%-58.3%）.Conclusion Frequency of U. urealyticum infection was higher than that of m. hominis. mycoplasma infections were associated with disorders of pH, motility and sperm concentration. In addition m. hominis infection affected spermatozoa morphology. Therefore, screening of U. urealyticum clinically relevant in Abidjan. and m. hominis for routine semen analysis is

＜正＞ During the expedition on board the R/V JOIDES Resolution, Ocean Drilling Program （ODP） Leg 186, it is discovered that there exists several thin layers of dolomitic rocks imbedded in otherwise uniform diatomaceous silty sediments and claystone. The thickness of the dolomite layers ranges from 0.5 m to 2 m as estimated from the in-situ log data. In this paper we demonstrate that these thin dolomite layers can have profound influence to alter seismic appearance, even on conventional low-frequency seismic data. Using advanced amplitude-preserving high resolution enhancement techniques, a high-resolution dolomite imaging profile is obtained crossing one of the drill site. We provide the first geophysical evidence of large-scale dolomite occurrence in the dynamic forearc basin developed in the deep-sea terrace on the landside of the Japan *** occurrence of thin dolomitic layers embedded in diatomaceous sediments is on the basin scale rather than an isolated phenomenon. The genesis of dolomite in the natural environment has been one of the outstanding problems in geology over the last two centuries. However, we find that these thin dolomite layers mostly occur at depths where abrupt sedimentation rate change occurs. Two dolomite layers also coincide with the miocene/Pliocene and Pliocene/Pleistocene age boundaries. It seems to suggest that the correlation between the dolomite layer occurrence and abrupt sedimentation rate change be intrinsically related to and a signature of dramatic changes in depositional environments. Considering the fact that the sedimentation rate at the ODP Leg 186 sites may be as fast as 250 m/m.y., high-resolution seismic stratigraphic model could help obtain a regional biostratigraphic or age model. The methodology can well be applied to other similar environments.

文章以四川盆地历年上报探明储量为基础 ,采用泊松模型预测了四川盆地未来 30年的天然气探明储量。通过对四川盆地历年上报的探明储量序列分析 ,认为可以分为两个阶段 :195 6～ 1976年 ,为探明地质储量缓慢增长阶段 ;1977年至今 ,正处于探明地质储量快速增长阶段。另一方面 ,探明储量的增长趋势呈现显著的周期性特征 ,伴随着新区或新层的突破和探明 ,大致每 6年左右出现一次高峰年 ,此时的探明储量是平常年的数倍。文章最后预测了四川盆地未来天然气探明储量趋势特征 :①在未来 30年里 ,将维持在每年 30 0× 10 8m3 上下 ;②在 2 0 15年左右将达到高峰 ,此后开始下降趋势 ;③四川盆地天然气最终探明储量达到 2 0 0 0 0× 10 8m3 左右。

Epidemiological studies demonstrate a significant protective effect of moderate alcohol consumption on the incidence of cardiovascular diseases which accounts for the majority of deaths in the Western world. In this review, possible mechanisms to explain the cardioprotective effect of ethanol are discussed. While the prevailing theory supported by a number of clinical and animal studies indicates that the ability of ethanol to elevate serum high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol levels is an important mechanism in ameliorating cardiovascular disease, other mechanisms whereby ethanol could exert its beneficial effect have been proposed. Namely, its ability to affect platelet function and endothelial cell and vascular smooth muscle cell function (In this review, the terms alcohol and ethanol are used interchangeably).

Aggressive lymphomas are a heterogeneous group of B-cell *** most com- mon types are diffuse large B cell-lymphoma,mantle cell lymphoma,anaplastic lymphoma,and Burkitt’s *** of rituximab(anti-CD20 monoclonal antibody)has changed the natural history of aggressive lymphomas.R-CHOP has an absolute advantage of 13% increase over CHOP in event-free (76% vs 63% and overall survival(70% vs 57%).R-CHOP has become the standard first-line thera- *** was also shown that CHOP given every 14 days is better than CHOP every 21 days(5 year survival: CHOP-14:53% vs CHOP-21:40%).It is therefore desirable to give R-CHOP every 14 days when- ever possible,especially for young *** early stage(stage Ⅰ and ⅡA,non-bulky)lymphoma, CHOP x 3 followed by radiation in involved field was shown to be better than eight cycles of *** relapsed lymphoma,RICE chemotherapy followed by autologous stem cell transplantation is the general approach at many ***-myeloablative allogeneic stem cell transplantation is frequently neces- sary for mantle cell lymphoma due to the high relapse rate after initial chemotherapy.R-hyper-CVAD is frequently chosen as the treatment for Burkitt’s lymphoma,and cure rate is high even without transplanta- *** agents(bortezumib,SAHA),monoclonal antibodies(anti-CD30,anti-CD80,CmC-544), vaccines,and radioimmunotherapies will be discussed for the therapy of lymphoma.

Orientational domains at room temperature in orthorhombic perovskite La 0.33 Ca 0.67 mnO 3 were studied by group theory and observed systematically using transmission electron microscopy. There are six orientational variants ( A, A', B,B', C and C' ) in orthorhombic perovskite La 0.33 Ca 0.67 mnO 3. Their orthorhombic b O directions are parallel to the a P, b P and c P directions of the cubic prototypic perovskite, respectively. In each case there are two orientational variants (e.g., A and A' ) with their a O and c O axes interchanged. among the possible 15 boundaries between these 6 variants there are only two types of domain boundaries: (1) m boundaries C'/C, A'/A, and B'/B. (2) m boundaryies C'/A, C'/A', C'/B, C'/B', C/A, C/A', C/B, C/B', B'/A, B'/A', B/A, and B/A' .
