Sweeting na.ura. ga. processes a.e ma.nly focused on removing ca.bon dioxide (CO2) a.d hydrogen sulfide (H2S). The high-energy requirements a.d opera.tiona. limita.ions ma.e a.ine a.sorption process sensitive to a.y cha.ge in conditions. This pa.er presented a.stea.y- sta.e simula.ion using Hysys to rea.ona.ly predict remova. a.ounts of ca.bon dioxide a.d hydrogen sulfide from na.ura. ga. with the dietha.ola.ine (DEa. solvent. The product specifica.ions a.e ta.en from the rea. pla.t (Ga.CO5S Ha.sha.) which uses the methyldietha.ola.mine (MDEa. solvent, while this simula.ion uses DEa.under the sa.e opera.ion conditions. First, the simula.ion va.ida.ion ha. been checked with the da.a.of the rea. pla.t. The results show a.cura.e prediction for CO2 slippa.e a.d a.cepted a.reement for H2S content compa.ed with the da.a.of the pla.t. a.pa.a.etric a.a.ysis ha. been performed to test a.l possible pa.a.eters tha. a.fect the performa.ce of the a.id ga.es remova. pla.t. The effects of opera.iona. pa.a.eters a.e exa.ined in terms of ca.bon dioxide a.d hydrogen sulfide contents in clea. ga. a.d reboiler duty.

High penetra.ion of renewa.le sources into conventiona. power systems results in reduction of system inertia.a.d noticea.le low-frequency oscilla.ions (LFOs) in the rotor speed of synchronous genera.ors. In this pa.er, we propose effective da.ping of LFOs by incorpora.ing a.supplementa.y da.ping controller with a.photovolta.c (PV) genera.ing sta.ion, where the pa.a.eters of this controller a.e coordina.ed optima.ly with those of a.power system sta.ilizer (PSS). The proposed method is a.plied to da.p loca. electromecha.ica. modes by studying a.system comprising a.synchronous genera.or a.d a.PV sta.ion connected to a. infinite bus. The PV sta.ion is modeled following the instructions of the Western Electricity Coordina.ing Council. The problem is modeled a. a. optimiza.ion problem, where the da.ping ra.io of the electromecha.ica. modes is designed a. the objective function. Constra.nts including upper a.d lower limits of decision pa.a.eters a.d da.ping ra.io of other modes a.e considered by imposing pena.ties on the objective function. Different optimiza.ion a.gorithms a.e used to pursue the optima. design, such a. politica., improved gra. wolves a.d equilibrium optimizers. The results va.ida.e the effectiveness of the proposed controller with PSS in da.ping loca. modes of oscilla.ions.

This pa.er discusses a.sea.ch problem for a.Helix ta.get motion in which a.y informa.ion of the ta.get position is not a.a.la.le to the sea.chers. There exist three sea.chers sta.t sea.ching for the ta.get from the origin. The purpose of this pa.er is to formula.e a.sea.ch model a.d finds the conditions under which the expected va.ue of the first meeting time between one of the sea.chers a.d the ta.get is finite. a.so, the existence of the optima. sea.ch pla. tha. minimizes the expected va.ue of the first meeting time is shown. Furthermore,this optima. sea.ch pla. is found. The effectiveness of this method is illustra.ed by using a. exa.ple with numerica. results.

The a.a.ytica. expressions for the pressure gra.ient, pressure rise, friction force, strea. function, shea. stress, a.d velocity a.e obta.ned in the physica. doma.n. The effects of the non-dimensiona. wa.e a.plitude, porosity, ma.netic field, rota.ion, a.d the dimensionless time-mea. flow in the wa.e fra.e a.e a.a.yzed theoretica.ly a.d computed numerica.ly. Numerica. results a.e given a.d illustra.ed gra.hica.ly in ea.h ca.e considered. Compa.ison wa. ma.e with the results obta.ned in the presence a.d a.sence of rota.ion, ma.netic field, a.d porosity.
