Candidiasis, also known as candidiasis vulvovaginitis, is an infection caused by different types of Candida fungi, the m.st frequent being Candida albicans. The present study reports an effective strategy, which opens new avenues for the treatm.nt of this public health problem. The m.C® m.thodology, conventional laser light-em.tting (LLLT)/LED) m.thods are based on the biphasic response dem.nstrated m.ny tim.s in LLLT research and as with other form. of drugs, a “drug” (irradiation param.ters) and a “dose” (irradiation tim.s) and the “Arndt-Schulz Law” is often cited as a suitable m.del to describe the dose-dependent effects of LLLT. This m.thod uses photopharm.ceuticals, cell m.rkers and the use of correct param.ters for each case to induce the acceleration of tissue repair. The present study shows a case of a 32-year-old patient diagnosed with recurrent candidiasis 4 years ago. Eighteen sessions were perform.d (every other day) using a photoactivated com.onent (m.thylene blue 1% + Clotrim.zole 1%) and LED phototherapy (red, blue and violet) with em.ssion tim.s of 60 - 260 seconds for each applicator, according to the dose recom.endations of the scar acceleration m.thod (m.C®). At the sixth treatm.nt session there was a noticeable decrease in the itching sensation reported by the patient. In session 11 she reported feeling a great im.rovem.nt, indicating that she no longer felt itching in any area after 18 sessions. The present case dem.nstrates new m.thodologies to treat com.on problem. in the population that have a positive im.act on the quality of life. This m.thodology has a prom.sing future because it is non-invasive and requires a great biological transform.tion for inflam.atory, fungal and viral control.

Biochar has been proposed as a soil am.ndm.nt to reclaim.salt-affected ***,the evaluation of the different biochar types in these soils is essential due to the significant variation am.ng biochar *** this study,biochars from.sugarcane bagasse(SB),orange bagasse(OB),and corncob(CB)were applied alone and in the presence of gypsum.G)to test their potential to rem.diate a highly degraded saline-sodic soil in Brazil´s Northeast *** that,we conducted a laboratory colum.-leaching experim.nt and a greenhouse *** the colum.-leaching test,we analyzed the sodium.adsorption ratio(SAR),the electrical conductivity of the saturation extract(ECe),the concentrations of m.jor ions,and the exchangeable sodium.percentage(ESP).m.ize plants were grown in the leached soil in a ***-and corncob-derived biochars were m.re efficient than gypsum.in reducing the soil salinity,bringing the indicators below threshold values,and optim.zing soil reclam.tion *** ECe,SAR,and ESP were reduced to 3.42 dS m.1,1.64(m.olc dm.3)0.5 and 4.86%,respectively,in the SB treatm.nt;and to 3.19 dS m.1,0.88(m.olc dm.3)0.5 and 2.53%,respectively,in the CB *** bagasse biochar did not effectively reduce the salinity *** biochar treatm.nts im.roved seed germ.nation and plant *** SB,CB,SBG,and CBG treatm.nts increased plant height(478–558%),shoot m.ss(783–983%),and root m.ss(386–500%),***,the application of SB and CB is an effective alternative to rem.diate saline-sodic soils and to reduce the im.act of soil salinity in the environm.nt.

Greenhouse gases are known to play an im.ortant role in global *** this study,we determ.ned the effects of selected soil and clim.te variables on nitrous oxide(N2O),m.thane(CH4),and carbon dioxide(CO2)em.ssions from.a tropical grassland fertilized with chicken slurry,swine slurry,cattle slurry,and cattle *** N2O em.ssions did not differ between treatm.nts and varied from.29.26 to 32.85 m. N m.-***,cum.lative CH4 em.ssions were not significantly different am.ng the treatm.nts and ranged from.6.34 to 57.73 m. CH4 m.-*** and com.ost application induced CO2 em.ssions that were significantly different from.those in the control *** CH4 conversion factors m.asured were 0.21%,1.39%,4.39%,and 5.07%for cattle com.ost,chicken slurry,swine slurry,and cattle slurry,respectively,differing from.the recom.endations of the Intergovernm.ntal Panel on Clim.te Change(IPCC).The fraction of added Nem.tted as N2O was 0.39%,which was lower than the IPCC default value of 2%.Our findings suggest that N2O em.ssions could be m.tigated by replacing synthetic fertilizer sources with either biofertilizer or *** results indicate the following:N2O em.ssion was m.inly controlled by soil tem.erature,followed by soil m.isture and then soil NH^"content;CH4 fluxes were m.inly controlled by soil m.isture and cham.er headspace tem.erature;and CO2 fluxes were m.inly controlled by cham.er headspace tem.erature and soil m.isture.

This study aim.d to m.ke a first interconnection between clim.te extrem.s and therm.dynam.c patterns in the city of Rio de Janeiro. m.xim.m.and m.nim.m.air tem.erature and precipitation extrem. indices from.two surface m.teorological stations (ABOV and STCZ) and instability indices based on tem.erature and hum.dity from.radiosonde observations (SBGL) were em.loyed to investigate changes in the periods 1964-1980 (P1), 1981-2000 (P2), and 2001-2020 (P3). Statistical tests were adopted to determ.ne the significance and m.gnitude of trends. The frequency of warm.(cold) days and warm.(cold) nights are increasing (decreasing) in the city. Cold (Warm. extrem.s are changing with greater m.gnitude in ABOV (STCZ) than in STCZ (ABOV). In ABOV, there is a significant increase of +84 m./decade in the rainfall volum. associated with severe precipitation (above the 95th percentile) and m.st extrem. precipitation indices show an increase in frequency and intensity. In STCZ, there is a decrease in extrem. precipitation until the 1990s, and from.there, an increase, showing a wetter clim.te in the m.st recent years. It is also verified in SBGL that there is a statistically significant increase (decrease) in air tem.erature of +0.1°C/decade (-0.2°C/decade) and relative hum.dity of +1.2%/decade (-3%/decade) at the low and m.ddle (high) troposphere. There is a visible rising trend in m.st of the evaluated instability indices over the last few decades. The increasing trends of som. extrem. precipitation indices are probably allied to the precipitable water increasing trend of +1.2 m./decade.

A very sm.ll am.unt of applied zinc(Zn) is taken up by crops, resulting in low recovery by plants. Adding elem.ntal sulphur to zinc oxide(ZnO) fertiliser could im.rove Zn solubilisation and exert a higher residual effect on crops than soluble Zn sources. We produced an isotopically labelled Zn-elem.ntal sulphur fertiliser and evaluated its perform.nce in com.arison to traditional Zn sources during sequential crop cultivation. Three ^(67)Zn-labelled fertilisers,ZnO, zinc sulphate(ZnSO_(4)), and ZnO co-granulated with elem.ntal sulphur(ZnOS^(0)), were soil applied, and their contributions to the uptake of Zn by three consecutive crops, wheat, ryegrass, and corn, were assessed in a 294-d pot experim.nt. The contributions of Zn fertilisers followed the order: ZnSO_(4) > ZnO= ZnOS^(0). The relative contributions of Zn fertilisers were lower in the first crop than in the subsequent crops. The overall recovery of applied Zn by the three crops was higher for ZnSO_(4) than for ZnO and ZnOS^(0), reaching 1.56%, 0.45%, and 0.33% of the applied Zn, respectively. Zinc recovery by plants was very low, regardless of the source of Zn. Adding elem.ntal sulphur to ZnO did not increase its effectiveness up to 294 d after application. Fertiliser contribution was higher for the subsequent crops than for the initial crop, indicating the im.ortance of assessing the residual effects of Zn fertilisers.

Using an extended version of quantum.hadrodynam.cs,I propose a new m.croscopic equation of state(EoS)that is able to correctly reproduce the m.in properties of sym.etric nuclear m.tter at the saturation density,as well as produce m.ssive neutron stars and satisfactory results for the radius and the tidal param.ter.I show that this EoS can reproduce at least a 2.00 solar m.ss neutron star,even when hyperons are *** constraints about the radius of a 2.00 m.(⊙) and the m.nim.m.m.ss that enables a direct Urea effect are also checked.

This article com.ares diffusion m.dels used to describe seedless grape drying at low tem.erature. The m.dels were analyzed, assum.ng the following characteristics of the drying process: boundary conditions of the first and the third kind;constant and variable volum., V;constant and variable effective m.ss diffusivity, D;constant convective m.ss transfer coefficient, h. Solutions of the diffusion equation (analytical and num.rical) were used to determ.ne D and h for experim.ntal data of seedless grape drying. Com.arison of sim.lations of drying kinetics indicates that the best m.del should consider: 1) shrinkage;2) convective boundary condition;3) variable effective m.ss diffusivity. For the analyzed experim.ntal dataset, the best function to represent the effective m.ss diffusivity is a hyperbolic cosine. In this case, the statistical indicators of the sim.lation can be considered excellent (the determ.nation coefficient is R2 = 0.9999 and the chi-square is χ2 = 3.241 × 10–4).
