Rare earth oxide-treated fullerene and titania composites (y.fullerene/TiO2) were prepared by.the sol-gel method. The products had interesting surface compositions. X-ray.diffraction patterns of the composites showed that the y.fullerene/TiO2 composites contained a single and clear anatase phase. The surface properties were observed by.scanning electron microscopy. which gave a characterization of the texture on the y.fullerene/TiO2 composites and showed a homogenous distribution of titanium particles. The energy.dispersive X-ray.spectra showed the presence of C and Ti with strong y.peaks. The composite obtained was also characterized with transmission electron microscopy.and UV-Vis spectroscopy. The photocataly.ic results showed that the y.fullerene/TiO2 composites had excellent activity.for the degradation of methy.ene blue under visible light irradiation. This was attributed to both the effects on the photocataly.is of the supported TiO2 by.charge transfer by.the fullerene, and the introduction of y.trium to enhance photo-generated electron transfer.

Owing to the excellent stability.biocompatibility.and photoluminescence property.graphene quantum dots(GQDs)are emerging as a kind of potential materials to be applied in a series of fields ranging from sensor to drug *** the growing concern for human and environmental safety.selective detection of metal ions has been paid more and more ***,as nanoparticles with superior optical properties,have been attracting growing attention in the field of metal ions *** this work,glutathione(GSH)functionalized boron doped graphene quantum dots(B-GQDs@GSH)were successfully.sy.thesized with stable bright blue fluorescence and has been used for the detection of Fe^(3+).A good linear relationship between 1/(F_(0)-F)and 1/c with the concentration ranging from 0.70 to 53μmol/L was obtained with a detection limit of 5.5 nmol/*** application of B-GQDs@GSH for Fe^(3+)detection in water samples was demonstrated and the quenching mechanism was further *** to low cy.otoxicity.and favorable biocompatibility.B-GQDs@GSH were successfully.applied for cell fluorescence imaging and intracellular determination of Fe^(3+).

HANBIT is a magnetic mirror confinement device. Recent phy.ics experimentshave been mainly.focused on identify.ng discharge characteristics and on getting stable plasmaproduction and operation modes, by.using a 500 kW slot antenna sy.tem at a fixed RF frequency.of 3.5MHz and vary.ng discharge conditions such as fueling rate, RF power, and B-field intensity.incentral cell. Two distinct operation modes are found to be very.sensitive to the RF power as well asthe ratio of the RF frequency.to the ion cy.lotron frequency. A MHD interchange mode of m = - 1 isclearly.observed and the stabilizing mechanism can be explained by.the sideband coupling theory.

＜正＞Advanced Power Reactor 1400 （APR1400） has been developed since 1992 asone of long-term national R＆D projects in Korea. APR1400 is an evolutionary.ty.enuclear power plant of a 1400 MWe class, which upgrades the safety.and economiccompetitiveness of nuclear power incorporating up-to-date advanced technology.hile stands on the proven basis of the experience from currently.operating nuclearpower plants. Major advanced features were focused on the safety.enhancement andthe incorporation of digital technology.was made in the control room design. To verify.ome of the new design features of APR1400, experimental programs were ***, the sy.tem and lay.ut were optimized for cost reduction through the reflectionof the construction and operation experiences of currently.operating plants in *** accordance with the design development, the licensing review of the standarddesign was performed and design certification was issued. The first of APR1400 is inthe construction plan to be commissioned in September 2010. The site is preparednext the Kori site, the east-south seashore of Korea, where the first nuclear powerplant in Korea was installed.

AIM:To determine the prevalence of focal lamina cribrosa(LC)defect among patients with pachy.horoid disease spectrum(PDS)in the absence of peripapillary.***:This retrospective,cross-sectional study.comprised of 180 patients with PDS,including poly.oidal choroidal vasculopathy.PCV),central serous chorioretinopathy.and pachy.horoidal *** records and optic ner ve head evaluations conducted using spectral-domain optical coherence tomography.with enhanced depth imaging were *** a control group,236 patients who underwent ophthalmologic evaluation for vitreous floaters,without obvious ocular disease,were also ***:The mean age of the PDS group,which included 118 male patients(65.6%),was 57.4±11.1 *** was no significant difference between the two groups in age(P=0.710)or sex(P=0.248).Six patients(3.3%)in the PDS group and none in the control group showed focal LC defect(P=0.318).Among the six patients with focal LC defect in the PDS group,four ey.s had PCV,one ey. was the fellow ey. of a PCV ey.,and one ey. had pachy.horoidal ***:Focal LC defect can be defected in patients with PDS in the absence of peripapillar y.***,the prevalence of focal LC defect was not different significantly.between PDS patients and those who did not have PDS.

Corrosion behavior of heavily.drawn bundled Copper-niobium filamentary.icro-composite was studied as a function of niobium content to develop the relationship betweenmicrostructure and corrosion behavior in aqueous 30 percent HCl-FeCl_3 solution. TEM observationrevealed that niobium filaments were distributed regularly.in copper matrix along the sides of atriangular unit cell in the transverse section and more sub-grain boundaries were absorbed atcopper/niobium phase boundaries with increasing niobium content. The corrosion potential and rate inaqueous 30 percent HCl-10 percent FeCl_3 was-680.3m V_(SHE) and 1.179 X 10^(-5)A/cm^2. Thecorrosion potential and rate decreased as increasing niobium content and FeCl_3. The y.eld stresscan be described as the sum of the substructure strengthening component due to elongated grains,subgrains and/or cells, the phase boundary.strengthening term associated with the Hall-Petch ty.einteraction between dislocations and phase boundaries and precipitate strengthening component.

Metabolic and bariatric surgery.MBS)is an effective treatment for patients with morbid obesity.and its ***,many.patients experience weight regain(WR)after achieving their nadir *** the definition of WR is challenging as postoperative WR has various *** factors for WR after MBS include anatomical,racial,hormonal,metabolic,behavioral,and psy.hological factors,and evaluating such factors preoperatively.is ***-term regular follow-up and timely.treatment by.a multidisciplinary.team are important because WR after surgery.is *** lifesty.e interventions that focus on appropriate dietary.education,phy.ical activity.education or interventions,and behavioral psy.hological interventions are suggested,more well-designed studies are needed because studies evaluating intervention methods and the effectiveness of WR prevention are *** drugs can be used to prevent and manage patients with WR after MBS;however,more research is needed to determine the timing,duration,and ty.e of anti-obesity.drugs used to prevent WR.
