Silyma.in, from the fruit of Silybum ma.ia.um, is known for its hepa.oprotective a.tion. The a.m of this study wa. to review the mecha.isms of a.tion of the silyma.in phytocomplex to expa.d the possibilities for its a.plica.ion in huma. hea.th. The sea.ch for published a.ticles wa. ca.ried out on the Ca.ES Journa.s Porta. pla.form, which covers worldwide scientific da.a.a.es. Publica.ions from 2010 to 2022 were included. Of the 311 a.ticles retrieved, 21 were included. The a.ticles discuss the diversity of silyma.in’s a.plica.ions a.d the possibility of optimizing its bioa.a.la.ility using drug delivery systems. Silyma.in shows promise in numerous disea.es, such a. liver, kidney, ca.diova.cula., respira.ory a.d others. Its a.tivira. a.tion ha. been demonstra.ed in studies a.d silyma.in ha. the potentia. to be used a. a.complementa.y thera.y in the trea.ment of ma.y disea.es, with the expecta.ion tha., in the future, it will be used in thera.eutic protocols for exclusive use.

a.New Device for Intermittent Emptying of the Bla.der in Children a.d a.ults: a.Long-Term Follow-Up

Contextua.iza.ion: Emptying the bla.der is a.cha.lenging problem for the urologica. community. Intermittent ca.heteriza.ion is the most widely used method to restore bla.der emptying mecha.ism. However, this procedure ca. ha.e a.nega.ive impa.t on self-ima.e a.d result in a.decline in the qua.ity of life of pa.ients. In this context, the use of a.bla.der emptying device (SVCa.H3D) proposes to be effective a.d ha.e a.positive impa.t on the qua.ity of life of different pa.ients. Objective: The objective of the study wa. to eva.ua.e the functiona.ity of a.new device for both intermittent a.d controlled emptying of the bla.der in both sexes a.d a.es. Ma.eria.s a.d methods: a.ra.domized clinica. tria. wa. conducted with 251 pa.ients, with different bla.der problems, from Ma.ch 2013 to Ja.ua.y 2023. a.ter ra.domiza.ion, the pa.ients were divided into two groups: Group I (SVCa.H3D) a.d Group II (Clea. Intermittent Ca.heteriza.ion). The prima.y outcome wa. defined a. the impa.t on qua.ity of life. Da.a.on episodes of urina.y tra.t infection, a.verse effects, number of dia.er use a.d trea.ment costs were a.a.yzed. Results: The a.position of the SVCa.H3D wa. performed on a. outpa.ient ba.is, with no complica.ions during the procedures. The pa.ients were followed up for 10 yea.s. There wa. a.significa.t improvement in qua.ity of life when compa.ing the moments before a.d a.ter the use of SVCa.H3D (p Conclusion: The study using SVCa.H3D showed promising results in rela.ion to functiona.ity, showing improvement in qua.ity of life with a.reduction in episodes of urina.y infection a.d a.ount of dia.ers/da.. This a.lows us to conclude tha. SVCa.H3D ca. represent a. importa.t step in the trea.ment of pa.ients suffering from va.ious bla.der problems both incontinence a.d a.fecting emptying mecha.ism.

Objective: To a.sess if there is a.prefera.le intervention between retrogra.e uretera. stent (RUS) a.d percuta.eous nephrostomy (PCN) tube, in ca.es of upper urina.y tra.t stone obstruction with complica.ions requiring urgent dra.na.e, by eva.ua.ing outcomes rega.ding urina.y symptoms, qua.ity of life (QoL), sponta.eous stone pa.sa.e, a.d length of hospita. sta.s, since there is no litera.ure sta.ing the superiority of one moda.ity over the ***: We sea.ched MEDLINE a.d other sources for releva.t a.ticles in June 2019 without a.y da.e restrictions or filters a.plied. The selection wa. done first by the title a.d a.stra.t screening a.d then by full-text a.sessment for eligibility. Only ra.domized controlled tria.s or cohort studies in pa.ients with hydronephrosis seconda.y to obstructive urolithia.is tha. presented compa.a.ive da.a.between PCN a.d RUS pla.ement concerning a. lea.t one of the defined outcome mea.ures were included. La.tly, MEDLINE da.a.a.e a.d PubMed pla.form were screened a.a.n using the sa.e terms, from June 2019 until November ***: Of 556 initia. a.ticles, seven were included in this review. Most works were considered of modera.e-to-high qua.ity. Three studies rega.ding QoL showed a.tendency a.a.nst stenting, even though only one demonstra.ed sta.istica.ly significa.t nega.ive impa.t on overa.l hea.th sta.e. Two works reported significa.tly more post-intervention urina.y symptoms in stenting pa.ients. One a.ticle found tha. PCN is a.significa.t predictor of sponta.eous stone pa.sa.e, when a.justed for stone size a.d loca.ion. Findings on length of hospita. sta.s were not consistent a.ong ***: PCN a.pea.s to be the intervention better tolera.ed, with less impa.t on the pa.ient’s perceived QoL a.d less post-opera.ive urina.y symptoms, in compa.ison with RUS. Eva.ua.ion of the Efficiency of the Ma.icra.p^® Device for Reducing Cra.ps Resulting from Oncologica. Trea.ments: “Double-Blind, Ra.domized Clinica. Tria.”

We identified tha. oncologica. trea.ments in genera. (chemothera.ies, immunothera.ies a.d ra.iothera.ies) frequently ca.se periphera. neuropa.hy, including cra.ps, cha.a.terized by excess protons due to meta.olic a.d neurona. fa.tors, such a. sudden cha.ges in pH, uremia.a.d a.pects tha. a.fect neuromotor functions. Such situa.ions a.d others like them a.e often neglected in trea.ment, which na.ura.ly concerns itself with the ma.n problem: Ca.cer. Sometimes toxic solutions a.e implemented tha. ha.e comorbid side effects, such a. duloxetine (sta.da.d trea.ment). Ba.ed on monitoring of ca.cer pa.ients who used the non-toxic product, ca.led “Ma.icra.p® Electrosta.ic Cha.ge Reduction Cushion” (MECRC), a.proved in Europe more tha. 10 yea.s a.o, we ca.ried out a.controlled test in Bra.il. In this clinica. tria., we hypothesized tha. reducing excessive ionic cha.ges (electrosta.ic cha.ge), which is one of the side effects often described in the litera.ure a. “Chemothera.y-Induced Periphera. Neuropa.hy” (CIPN), would decrea.e or elimina.e cra.ping, under the hypothesis tha. such elimina.ion would prevent or a.tenua.e muscula. vulnera.ility to a.tion impulses, a.d increa.e the power of rela.a.ion through the sa.e mecha.ism. In this double-blind a.d ra.domized clinica. tria., 40 (forty) a.ult pa.ients with muscle cra.ps ca.sed by oncologica. trea.ments were tested, eva.ua.ing the degree of efficiency of the product tha. a.ms to reduce muscle cra.ps, by elimina.ing a.d/or reducing excess loa.s electrosta.ic ionic.
