The present study was conducted to evaluate the impact of bimetallic nanoparticles(NPs)of copper(Cu)and zinc(Zn)from Crotalaria longirostrata on the insect mortality and cell viability of Phenacoccus *** biosynthesis of bimetallic nanoparticles(Cu/Zn-NPs)from *** was confirmed by the presence of a single peak around 378 *** hydrodynamic diameter of the Cu/Zn nanoparticles varied from 59 to 119 nm and their zeta potential was found to be−30.90 *** EDX analysis showed a strong signal for Cu and Zn(8 and 8.6 keV,respectively).The Cu/Zn-NPs showed an effective insecticide activity against *** with 63%of insect mortality after 96 h ***,further studies about nanotoxicity of Cu/Zn-NPs from *** are needed to reveal the exact mechanism of nanoparticles toxicity in insects.

By embedding the Standard Model effective field theory(SMEFT) in the more general higgs effective field theory(hEFT), we expose correlations among the coefficients of the latter that, if found to be violated in future data, would lead to the experimental falsification of the SMEFT framework. These are derived from the necessary symmetric point of hEFT and analyticity of the SMEFT Lagrangian that allows the construction of the SMEFT expansion, as laid out by other groups, and properties at that point of the higgs-flare function F(h) coupling Goldstone and higgs bosons, of the higgs potential V(h) and of the higgs-top quark coupling function G(h).

BACKGROUND Multiple myeloma is a malignant neoplasm of the bone marrow characterized by neoplastic proliferation of monoclonal plasma cells with a high relationship with destructive bone disease. We present a case of a patient diagnosed with multiple myeloma and sternal fracture in association with multiple bilateral rib fractures and thoracic kyphosis, who developed a severe acute respiratory failure, thus complicating the initial presentation of multiple myeloma. We discuss the therapeutic implications of this uncommon presentation. CASE SUMMARY A 56-year-old man presented to hematological Department after he had been experiencing worsening back pain over the last five months, with easy fatigability and progressive weight loss. he had no history of previous trauma. The chemical blood tests were compatible with a diagnosis of multiple myeloma. A radiographic bone survey of all major bones revealed, in addition to multiple bilateral rib fractures, a sternal fracture and compression fracture at T9, T10, T11 and L1 vertebrae. Subcutaneous fat biopsy was positive for amyloid. We started treatment with bortezomib and dexamethasone. After 24 h of treatment, he presented dyspnea secondary to flail chest. he required urgent intubation and ventilatory support being transferred to intensive care unit for further management. The patient remained connected to mechanical ventilation (positive pressure) as treatment which stabilized the thorax. A second cycle of bortezomib plus dexamethasone was started and analgesia was optimized. The condition of the patient improved, as evidenced by callus formation on successive computed tomography scans. The patient was taken off the ventilator one month later, and he was extubated successfully, being able to breathe unaided without paradoxical motion. CONCLUSION This case highlights the importance of combination between bortezomib and dexamethasone to induce remission of multiple myeloma and the initiation of positive airway pressure with

There are few studies oriented to analyze the interaction between the variables of the stripping process of actual leaching solutions. The aim of this work was to study the effect of temperature and the percent of organic phase in the stripping pseudo-emulsion (D2EPhA and kerosene) on the manganese stripping process. Other studied variables were the acid concentration (h2SO4) in the aqueous phase, the percent of the organic phase in the pseudo-emulsion and the number of stripping stages. This information may be of interest to countries with radical temperature variations. It was discovered that in the range of 10?C to 50?C, temperature improves the depletion of manganese from the D2EPhA. Additionally, the percent of the organic phase should be less than 90% by volume of the pseudo-emulsion to favour the manganese exchange. Moreover, the h2SO4 concentration in the aqueous phase should be less than 1 M to avoid chemical instability of the organic phase.

Panulirus argus virus 1 (PaV1) is considered a major threat to spiny lobsters Panulirus argus. In this study Geospatial analysis was used to analyze PaV1 distribution in an artisanal fishery of spiny lobster Panulirus argus population from the north coast of the Yucatan Peninsula. Adult and sub-adult P. argus and seabed coverage data were collected from thirty artisanal fishing sites. Five seabed coverage types were identified: seagrass;sand/seagrass mixture;sand only;coral/sand mixture;and seaweed. No juveniles were examined. Of the 358 collected lobsters, PaV1 was identified in four organisms (three sub-adults and one adult) from two fishing sites (termed A & B), both found in a seagrass coverage area. Overall prevalence was of 1.12%. Prevalence was of 20% (2/10) at one site and of 12.6% (2/16) at the other.

Alkali halides crystals have been the subject of intense research. high order crystalline one phase mixtures （high order： more that binary） studied by TL （thermoluminiscence technique） proved having persistent peaks along the time after the radiation to which they are exposed. In general in alkali halide crystals the traps associated with highest recorded temperature peaks in the TL due to radiation damage have greater permanence in time too. These features are useful for dosimetric applications. In this work, temperature thermoluminescence glow peaks of ternary and quaternary mixed alkali halide crystals have been studied. The study has been focused on their high temperature glow peaks after being subjected to thermal treatments at 373, 573, and 673 K. The glow peaks of high temperature were isolated and studied 24 h and 48 h after irradiation. The parameters of the recombination processes associated to these peaks were obtained using a glow peak shape method. Orders of kinetics were higher than 1.0 and the activation energy greater than 1.2 eV. The results suggest that such materials have a high potential as dosimeter and energy storage materials.

Phenolic compounds are related to high biological activity,avoiding oxidation in food and human *** are by-products derived from the pecan nut processing that contain important amounts of phenols which biological activity must be *** research aimed to evaluate the antioxidant(DPPh,ABTS,FRAP and hemolysis)and anti-inflammatory activities of shell extracts from pecan nuts harvested during the crop production cycle 2018 and 2019,as well as the in vitro digestibility of their phenolic compounds,including *** showed that extracts from the crop production cycle 2018 obtained the highest yield,while those from 2019 contained the highest concentration of phenolic compounds,flavonoids and antioxidant capacity determined by DPPh(22.96 mmol ET),ABTS(91.55 mmol ET)and inhibition of hemolysis(92.12%).The anti-inflammatory activity exhibited an inhibition of the elastase enzyme up to 50 min and the bioaccessibility of phenolic compounds reached up to 32%.These results showed that pecan nutshell extracts are an important source of biologically active compounds,thus,they are suitable to be used as commodities in different fields such as agricultural,food and pharmaceutical *** studies must be carried out in order to elucidate the activity of nutshell extracts within in vivo systems.

AIM: To assess the aetiological role of helicobacter pylori (h. pylori) infection in adult patients with ironrefractory or iron-dependent anaemia of previously unknown origin. METhODS: Consecutive patients with chronic irondeficient anaemia (IDA) with h. pylori infection and a negative standard work-up were prospectively evaluated. All of them had either iron refractoriness or iron dependency. Response to h. pylori eradication was assessed at 6 and 12 mo from follow-up. h. pylori infection was considered to be the cause of the anaemia when a complete anaemia resolution without iron supplements was observed after eradication. RESULTS: h. pylori was eradicated in 88 of the 89 patients. In the non-eradicated patient the four eradicating regimens failed. There were violations of protocol in 4 patients, for whom it was not possible to ascertain the cause of the anaemia. Thus, 84 h. pylori eradicated patients (10 men; 74 women) were available to assess the effect of eradication on IDA. h. pylori infection was considered to be the aetiology of IDA in 32 patients (38.1%; 95%CI: 28.4%-48.8%). This was more frequent in men/postmenopausal women than in premenopausal women (75% vs 23.3%; P h an OR of 9.8 (95%CI: 3.3-29.6). In these patients, anaemia resolution occurred in the first follow-up visit at 6 mo, and no anaemia or iron deficiency relapse was observed after a mean follow-up of 21 ± 2 mo. CONCLUSION: Gastric h. pylori infection is a frequent cause of iron-refractory or iron-dependent anaemia of previously unknown origin in adult patients.

The thermoregulatory behavior of sea hare Aplysia californica was determined in a horizontal thermal gradient;with a preferred temperature (PT) of 18.3°C for the day cycle and 20.8°C for the night cycle. The displacement velocity demonstrated an initial rate of 30 cm·hˉ1 and gradually the velocity diminished to 18 cm·hˉ1 with several fluctuations mainly at 02:00 am. Critical Temperature Maxima (CTMax refers to the temperature point where at least 50% of the experimental group have a loss of attachment) was measured at three acclimation temperatures (16°C, 19°C and 22°C). At the lowest acclimation temperature (16°C), 50% of the experimental group had an attachment loss at CTMax 32.7°C, and in a higher acclimation temperature (22°C) CTMax was 36.2°C. The Oxygen Consumption Rate (OCR) was closely correlated to acclimation temperature, and at 16°C and 19°C sea hare had a relatively stable metabolic rate, with OCR increasing to 9 mg O2 hˉ1·kgˉ1 w.w. in a higher acclimation temperature.
