Leiomyosarcoma is a rare form of cancer commonly found in the retroperitoneum, uterus, stomach, small intestine and vascular tissue. Surgery with a wide margin of resection is the most effective treatment. Nevertheless, metastasis is common and generally occurs within the first 3 years. The liver and lungs are the most common sites of metastasis in leiomyosarcoma. Other sites of metastasis include bone, spleen, soft tissues and brain. Metastatic tumours of the clitoris are extremely rare. As cited in the literature, the most common cancers that metastasize to the clitoris are breast, bladder, renal and gastric. Here, we report a case of a clitoral mass in a 64-year-old woman who received an operation for retroperitoneal leiomyosarcoma 4 years prior. Mass resection was performed. The pathological diagnosis was a leiomyosarcoma metastasis. The patient also presented with brain and lung metastases at the time of the clitoral metastasis. This is the first case of clitoral and brain metastases originating from a retroperitoneal leiomyosarcoma.

There is increasing awareness among the cardiology community regarding ictal bradyarrhythmias as a cause of loss of consciousness. A high degree of suspicion is necessary when diagnosing ictal bradyarrhythmias, and delay in diagnosing this condition may lead to morbidity associated with falls and trauma. Ictal bradyarrhythmias have also been suggested to be associated with sudden unexplained death in epilepsy, although evidence related to this association is limited. There is no guidelinedirected therapy for symptomatic ictal bradyarrhythmias due to a lack of randomized, controlled trials. Cardiac pacemaker therapy is commonly used for these patients; however, currently, there is no universal agreement on the pacing indications for these patients. In this review, we focus on the pathophysiology and clinical presentation of ictal bradyarrhythmias and then discuss the pacing need based on the available literature data.

Objective: Aim of this study was to investigate the changes in body composition and some biochemical parameters of women at different age and body mass index (BMI) groups and to evaluate their relations with to cardiometabolic risk factors. Methods: The study was created by retrospective research of the file records of total 800 women who got into nutritional counseling between 2002 - 2007 years at Cerrahpasa Medical Faculty. Participants were grouped as 10 - 19, 20 - 29, 30 - 39, 40 - 49, 50 - 59, ≥60 years according to ages and were divided into 4 groups as normal, overweight, obese and morbidly obese according to body mass index. Data were statistically analysed in SPSS for Windows computer program with ANOVA and Tukey HSD tests. Findings: There are significant differences between different age groups in weight, BMI, waist and hip circumferences, percentage of body water, fat and fat-free mass, basal metabolic rate and blood glucose, insulin, triglyceride, cholesterol, HDL, LDL levels and HOMA-IR values. HOMA-IR values were the highest at age group 1 and the lowest at age group 2. Although they were in the same BMI group;their waist circumference, basal metabolic rate and percent of body fat showed significant increases with advancing age. Conclusion: The findings of our study show that it will be useful to use standard values generated for each age group according to BMI levels in predicting increased cardiovascular and metabolic risks together with advancing age. While the lowest rate of obesity according to body fat percent (>30%) was found at the ages in between 20 - 29 (58.4%), it is noteworthy that the obesity rate with respect to their body fat percent has been noticed at the ages of 10 to 19 (2.3%). Comparing with the other groups, significantly higher body heights found at the ages in between 10 - 19, could possibly predicate that the new generations are having better nutrition and overhaul. Evaluation the Vickers Hardness of Denture Base Materials

The aim of this study was to evaluate the Vickers Hardness of four different denture base materials. Four different denture base materials were used in this study: Heat-cured pink acrylic resin, self-cured acrylic resin, heat-cured clear acrylic resin and polyamide denture base materials. To-tally 80 disc shaped samples which 2 mm thickness and 40 mm diameter were prepared. The samples were stored in distilled water after polished. Then, Vickers Hardness test was performed with TMTeck HV-1000B (200 gram at 15 second). The statistically analysis of obtained data was performed with use one-way analysis of variance test. The results showed that the highest Vickers Hardness value (18.57 HV) was identified in heat-cured (pink) acrylic resin, the lowest Vickers Hardness value (9.62 HV) was identified in polyamide denture base materials. The result of one-way analysis of variance test showed that there were statistically very highly significant differences between four denture base materials of Vickers Hardness (p < 0.001). The obtained data presented that the self-cured denture base acrylic resin was the hardnest denture base materials.

The relationship between tooth of living species and nutrition is so important for anthropologic researches that, it is among the most considered issues in almost all the researches that have been made about these topics. Tooth, as being one of the most significant materials that give information about diet, environmental relationships and cultural structure, has been a constant research topic. It has been proved with the researches that, the food stuffs, which living species consumed, have a fundamental role on tooth wear. The recently recognized micro marks on occlusal are also evaluated carefully as well as the macro wears, which are defined as the apparent wears on tooth enamel. These micro marks have several characteristics about the ingredients, hardness, size and chewing force of the nutrients. In this regard, the tooth samples of Agora of Smyrna, Kyzikos, MinnetpInarI and Güllüdere skeletons that lived in Anatolia—also constituted the sample of this research—have been investigated and the diet of these societies has been examined depending upon the micro marks on the teeth of these societies’ people. Firstly, the diet of these societies has been investigated by examining micro tooth wears. Then, the relationship of these societies has been studied. By examining micro tooth wears of these societies, it has been discussed that whether the factors of age, sex, and facet are effective or not on micro wear marks. As a result of this study, it has been observed that societies that lived in different areas have different diets;and micro marks on teeth are significant indicators of living spaces, subsistence economies and life styles of the societies.

The clinical picture of actinomycosis was first described in *** agents are found in the natural flora of the oral cavity, upper gastrointestinal system and female genital systems. Actinomyces israelii is usually responsible for the infections and causes chronic suppurative and granulomatous infections. The most common disease form is cervicofascial infection. Liver is involved in 5% of all actinomycosis infections. Liver involvement secondary to any primary infection site in the abdomen frequently occurs. In 15% of abdominal infections the liver is also involved. However, in very rare cases, a primary focus cannot be found, and these cases are called primary or isolated hepatic actinomycosis （IHA）. IHA which is frequently seen as a solitary abscess can be confused with a malignancy both clinically and radiologically.

On the M-σ Relationship and SMBH Mass Estimates of Selected Nearby Galaxies

Super massive black holes are believed to influence galactic evolution and dynamics. A histogram of SMBH masses for different redshift regimes may reveal clues on how the SMBH evolve in time. A prominent method for SMBH mass estimation is based on the linear correlation between the bulge velocity dispersion and the SMBH mass. Known as M-σ relationship, this method is known to provide reasonable but not very accurate mass estimates due to considerable scatter in data. In order to increase the precision, we surveyed the literature and gathered SMBH and velocity dispersion data for low redshift (z 0.02) spiral galaxies. We report the M-σ relationship for low redshift spiral galaxies as, By using this refined M-σ relationship we measured 32 SMBH masses and determined upper and lower mass boundaries and the mass histogram for spiral galaxies in a narrow redshift regime (0.016 z < 0.017). The spectroscopic data are obtained from The SLOAN Digital Survey and The National Observatory of Turkey (TUG). The targets are selected within a low redshift range for discernible [OIII] lines. TUG observations are carried out on the RTT150 1.5 m telescope using TUG Faint Object Spectrographic Camera and the SLOAN data are obtained from the 7th data release of the survey. We measured the bandwidths of narrow [OIII] lines, which are shown to be indicative in estimating stellar bulge velocity dispersion and estimated the central black hole masses from the refined version of the empirical M-σ relationship. The estimated masses vary between 9.51 × 106 - 2.36 × 108 solar masses.
