This paper presents the design of near perfect reconstruction (NPR) cosine modulated filterbank (CMFB). The prototype filter is designed by the combinational window functions. These window functions provide high side-lobe-fall-off-rate (SLFOR) with better far-end attenuation which suppresses the undesired inter-ferences occur in the filterbank. A linear optimization is used to minimize the error parameters. Design ex-amples have been included to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed technique over the earlier reported work.

Stephen Hawking gave a formula for the temperature of black holes as given by . Some of the black holes have their spinning velocity from 50% to 99% of the velocity of light. Due to this velocity, the mass of black holes will vary which cause the variation in the temperature of black holes. In the present research article, we have applied the variation of mass with velocity to obtain the rate of change in temperature of the black holes with respect to velocity. We have also calculated their values for super dense stars like black holes existing in XRBs and AGN and concluded that for super dense stars like black holes of lower velocity as well as the velocity comparable to the velocity of light, the rate of change in temperature with respect to velocity is directly proportional to their velocities. This work will help us to find out the variation in temperature of different black holes spinning with different velocity percentage related to light speed and can be used as the references for other research works.

This paper presents a design of M-band near perfect reconstructed (NPR) cosine-modulated filterbank (CMFB). The prototype filter is formulated as an interpolated finite impulse response (IFIR) filter. Suitable stretched factor is used to provide considerable reduction in computation cost as well as minimum value of error parameters. Further minimization in errors has been achieved by applying a linear gradient optimization technique. The IFIR approach provides reduction in stopband energy as side-lobe-fall-off-rate (SLFOR) in magnitude response of the prototype filter is improved. Design examples have been included to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed technique over the existing work.

Weight loss technique has been used to study the corrosion inhibition efficiency of tin in HNO3 solution by using the leaves and stem extract of different varieties of Holy Basil viz. ocimum basilicum (EB),, ocimum cannum (EC) and ocimum sanctum (ES). The results show that all the varieties under study are good corrosion inhibitors, among which leaves extract of EB is the most effective. Corrosion inhibition efficiency increases with increasing concentration of inhibitor and it also increases with increasing concentration of HNO3 solution. Inhibition efficiency was found maximum up to 96.19% for tin in with 0.6% leaves extract.

New attacks are emerging rapidly in Information Security; hence the tools and technologies available for securing the information needs substantial upgradation as well as skills for operationalization to mitigate these attacks. It requires creation of practical training environment with tools and technologies available for Information Security. The design of Information Security courses involves scenario based hands-on-labs with real time security incidents and problems with global reach which could be customized quickly as per the scenario and user＇s requirement. In order to understand the underlying concepts as well as to learn the practical aspects of network and system security environment, an initiative has been taken and a Virtual Test Bed has been developed to meet the above objectives. It is an essential component in Information Security training concept which could be used to perform actual security attacks and remedial measures as well as to test the effectiveness of protection mechanisms and help in handling the security incidents effectively. This paper discusses the development of this Test Bed for Information Security skill development with virtual training environment using which Information Security concepts, attacks on networks/systems and practical scenarios are simulated for imparting hands on training to participants.
