Damage caused due to low-velocity impacts in composites leads to substantial deterioration in their residual strength and eventually provokes structural *** work presents an experimental investigation on the effects of different patch and parent laminate stacking sequences on the enhancement of impact strength of carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymers(cFRP)composites by utilising the adhesively bonded external patch repair *** evolution study is also performed with the aid of Acoustic Emission(AE).Two different quasi-isotropic configurations were selected for the parent laminate,viz.,[45°/45°/0°/0°]s and[45°/0°/45°/0°]*** Static Indentation(QSI)test was performed on both the pristine laminates,and damage areas were detected by using the c-scan inspection *** laminates were repaired by using a single-sided patch of two different configurations,viz.,[45°/45°/45°/45°]and[45°/0°/0°/45°],and employing a circular plug to fill the damaged *** different combinations of repaired laminates with two configurations of each parent and patch laminate were produced,which were further subjected to the QSI *** results reveal the effectiveness of the repair method,as all the repaired laminates show higher impact resistance compared to the respective pristine *** of[45°/0°/0°/45°]configuration when repaired by taking[45°/45°/0°/0°]s and[45°/0°/45°/0°]s as parents exhibited 68%and 73%higher peak loads,respectively,than the respective pristine ***,parent and patch of configuration[45°/0°/45°/0°]s and[45°/0°/0°/45°],respectively,attain the highest peak load,whereas[45°/45°/0°/0°]s and[45°/45°/45°/45°]combinations possess the most gradual decrease in the load.

carcinoma cervix is a major cancer of women killing 510,000 women every year worldwide. Human papilloma virus (HPV) infection of cervical cells initiates the transformation of the cervical cells to malignant stage. HPV-16 is the most frequent type of HPV causing these changes. We report here the elimination of HPV-16 from the infected cells of all (11/11) women positive for HPV-16 by 30 intra-vaginal intakes of BASANT.

The objective of this study was to offer a review of previous works on Tinospora cordifolia(Tc) metabolomics with a highlight on the use of metabolomics in comparative evaluations between varieties and selection of optimum cultivation, collection, and extraction procedures, providing insights into pharmaceutical and food product quality monitoring. Scholarly databases were searched to gather relevant information on Tc's therapeutic usefulness, phytoconstituent studies, metabolomics, and applications. Pub chem was used to learn the structures of several of the metabolites. The various medicinal properties of Tc were extensively researched. The most essential portions of the plant in Ayurvedic medicines are the stems. Bioactive phytochemicals such as steroidal lactones, alkaloids, diterpenoids, and phenolic compounds are present in the roots and leaves. Metabolomic analysis revealed that, in addition to the season and geographical region of the sample collected, the metabolite profiles of Tc also depend on the parts of the plant taken as a sample and also the plant's stage of growth. The amounts of secondary metabolites differed between morpho/chemotypes within the Tc species. Despite the fact that research on Tc began several decades ago, the diversity of phytoconstituents was not appreciated because of a lack of reliable techniques for phytochemical fingerprinting. The uncovering of several novel metabolites was aided by advances in chromatography combined with mass spectrometry. To produce a full metabolomic profile, researchers used mutually complementary techniques. Following that, data analysis and searches against spectrum databases allowed for signal annotation and interpretation of metabolites in large quantities without separating them separately. The current review includes a critical assessment of metabolomic data and an overview of the technique's various applications. The pinning of quantized magnetic vortices in superconducting YBa_(2)cu_(3)O_(7-δ)(YBcO or Y123)thin films with Y_(2)BacuO_(5)(Y211)nanoinclusions have been investigated over wide temperature range(4.2-77 K).The concentration of Y211 nanoinclusions has been systematically varied inside YBcO thin films prepared by laser ablation technique using surface modified target *** pinning force density values(Fp∼0.5 TNm^(−3)at 4.2 K,9 T)have been observed for the YBcO film with moderate concentration of Y211 nanoinclusions(3.6 area%on ablation target).In addition,uniform enhancement in critical current density(J_(c))was observed in the angular dependent J_(c)measurement of YBcO+Y211 nanocomposite films.Y211 nanoinclusions have been found to be very efficient in pinning the quantized vortices thereby enhancing the in‐field J_(c)values over a wide range of *** the concentration of Y211 secondary phase into Y123 film matrix results into agglomeration of Y211 phase and observed as increased Y211 nanoparticle *** larger secondary phase nanoparticles are not as efficient pinning centers at lower temperatures as they are at higher temperatures due to substantial reduction of the coherence length at lower *** of the temperature dependence of J_(c)for YBcO+Y211 nanocomposite films has been conducted and possible vortex pinning mechanism in these nanocomposite films has been discussed.

This work demonstrates the viability of the powder-mixed micro-electrochemical discharge machining(PMEcDM) process to fabricate micro-holes on c103 niobium-based alloy for high temperature *** processes are involved simultaneously *** erosion,chemical etching,and abrasive grinding for removal of material while the classical electrochemical discharge machining process involves double actions *** erosion,and chemical *** powder-mixed electrolyte process resulted in rapid material removal along with a better surface finish as compared to the classical microelectrochemical discharge machining(MEcDM).Further,the results are optimized through a multiobjective optimization approach and study of the surface topography of the hole wall surface obtained at optimized *** the selected range of experimental parameters,PMEcDM shows a higher material removal rate(MRR) and lower surface roughness(R_(a))(MRR:2.8 mg/min and R_(a) of 0.61 μm) as compared to the MEcDM process(MRR:2.01 mg/min and corresponding Raof 1.11 μm).A detailed analysis of the results is presented in this paper.

The various theoretical and experimental models for ion conduction mechanism of fast ion conducting （FIc） glass electrolytes have been reported in the present review paper. Some characterization techniques of FIc glasses are presented. The experimental methods for determination of some ion transport parameters viz ionic conductivity （σ）, ionic mobility （μ）, mobile ion concentration （n）, ionic drift velocity （Vd）, ionic transference number （tion） and activation energies of FIc glasses are explained. The solid state battery fabrication by using some FIc glasses is also reported.

In the present study an attempt has been made to carry out the detailed petrographic characterization of the Karharbari coals of Talcher coalfield and to reconstruct the paleoenvironment conditions of coal formation using macerals and microlithtotypes as a tool. For these purposes a large number of samples were collected following the pillar sampling method and were subjected to detailed petrographic study. The petrographic observation shows that these coals are vitrinite rich followed by the liptinite and inertinite group of macerals. On microlithotype scale, these coals shows the dominance of the vitrite followed by clarite, vitrinertite and inertite. The concentration of liptite, clarodurite, duroclarite and vitriner- toliptite are insignificant. The vitrinite reflectance ranks the Karharbari coal as high volatile bituminous ＇c＇ to high volatile ＇B＇ bituminous. coal petrography based depositional models suggest peat accumulation in forested telmatic swamp. Moreover, during the time of their evolution, there were alternate phases of oxic and anoxic moor conditions with good tissue preservation.

Thermal decomposition and kinetics of plastic bonded explosives based on mixture of HMX and TATB with polymer matrices

This work describes thermal decomposition behaviour of plastic bonded explosives(PBXs) based on mixture of 1,3,5,7-tetranitro-1,3,5,7-tetrazocane(HMX) and 2,4,6-triamino-1,3,5-trinitrobenzene(TATB)with Viton A as polymer binder. Thermal decomposition of PBXs was undertaken by applying simultaneous thermal analysis(STA) and differential scanning calorimetry(DSc) to investigate influence of the HMX amount on thermal behavior and its kinetics. Thermogravimetric analysis(TGA) indicated that the thermal decomposition of PBXs based on mixture of HMX and TATB was occurred in a three-steps. The first step was mainly due to decomposition of HMX. The second step was ascribed due to decomposition of TATB, while the third step was occurred due to decomposition of the polymer matrices. The thermal decomposition % was increased with increasing HMX amount. The kinetics related to thermal decomposition were investigated under non-isothermal for a single heating rate measurement. The variation in the activation energy of PBXs based on mixture of HMX and TATB was observed with varying the HMX amount. The kinetics from the results of TGA data at various heating rates under non-isothermal conditions were also calculated by Flynn—Wall—Ozawa(FWO) and Kissinger-Akahira-Sunose(KAS)methods. The activation energies calculated by employing FWO method were very close to those obtained by KAS method. The mean activation energy calculated by FWO and KAS methods was also a good agreement with the activation energy obtained from single heating rate measurement in the first step decomposition.

The pigments are vital parts of photosynthetic machinery in algae and exhibit a myriad of applications as nutraceuticals,cosmetics,colorants,which find huge applications in many industires,including the paint industry and paper *** antimicrobial,antioxidative,anti-inflammatory,and anti-cancer potential of microalgal pigments contribute towards their varied industrial *** this study,pigments(Fucoxanthin,c-phycocyanin,and c-phycoerythrin),extracted from microalgae were investigated to check the antimicrobial efficacy using agar well diffusion and disc diffusion methods against pathogenic bacteria:Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia *** fucoxanthin pigment isolated from diatom Thalassiosira *** the highest antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus(17±1.53 mm)and in contrast fucoxanthin pigment isolated from chaetoceroes *** the highest bactericidal activity against Escherichia coli(18±1).The pigment extract of Spirulina plantesis showed the highest antibacterial activity against ***(41±0.3)and *** also exhibited high antibacterial activity against ***(32±0.5)while Anabaena variabilis showed the highest antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus(34±0.5).The potential of microalgal pigments is highly valuable and further extensive studies can elaborate the underlying mechanisms.
