Introduction: a.ute corona.y syndromes (a.S) a.e a.dia.nostic a.d thera.eutic emergency. Objective: Studying the fea.ibility, difficulties a.d results of corona.y a.giopla.ty in a.ute corona.y syndromes a. the Luxembourg Mother-Child University Hospita. in Ba.a.o. Pa.ients a.d Methods: Cross-sectiona., descriptive study with prospective recruitment over 18 months from September 2020 to Februa.y 2022. a.l pa.ients a.ed a. lea.t 18 yea.s old a.mitted for SCa.a.d ha.ing undergone PCI during the study period were included. Result: We collected 249 pa.ients for SCa. of whom 160 underwent a.giopla.ty, either a. a.giopla.ty/SCa.ra.io of 0.64. The a.era.e a.e of the pa.ients wa. 59.54 ± 11.62 with extremes of 32 a.d 92 yea.s. The a.e group of 45 to 65 yea.s wa. the most representa.ive. The predomina.ce wa. ma.e, sex ra.io of 2.4. The ma.n ca.diova.cula. risk fa.tors were high blood pressure (58.23%) a.d dia.etes (45.78%). Persistent ST-segment eleva.ion on the electroca.diogra. wa. present in 71.48%. The trea.ment time wa. more tha. 12 hours a.ter the first medica. conta.t in 95.5%. The a.proa.h wa. ra.ia. in 96.5% of ca.es. Corona.ogra.hy wa. pa.hologica. in 91.16% of our pa.ients. The lesions were tri-truncula. in 34.13% with the a.terior inter ventricula. a. culprit a.tery in 72% of ca.es. The ma.ority of pa.ients (64%) ha. undergone a.giopla.ty with impla.ta.ion of a. a.tive stent. a.giopla.ty wa. performed successfully in 98% a.d per procedura. morta.ity wa. 1.87%. Only 6.45% of a.S with ST eleva.ion benefited from prima.y a.giopla.ty. Conclusion: Percuta.eous corona.y intervention is performed routinely in our center with sa.isfa.tory results. Difficulties exist, rela.ed to the dia.nostic dela. of a.S a.d the high cost of a.giopla.ty.

Introduction: a.ute corona.y syndrome is often the first event of corona.y disea.e of young subjects. Objective: To study sociodemogra.hic, clinica., pa.a.linica., thera.eutic a.d evolutiona.y a.pects of a.ute corona.y syndrome of young subjects. Pa.ients a.d Methods: Descriptive cross-sectiona. study with prospective recruitment from October 01, 2020 to Ma.ch 31, 2022. Were included a.l pa.ients a.mitted for a.ute corona.y syndrome whose a.e wa. less or equa. to 45 yea.s a.d who ha. undergone corona.y a.giogra.hy a. the Mother-Child University Hospita. on Luxembourg from Ba.a.o. Results: During the study period, we collected 60 pa.ient files out of 198. These 60 pa.ient files met our inclusion criteria. Hospita. frequency wa. 30.30%. a.era.e a.e of pa.ients wa. 40.43 ± 3.9 yea.s. Sex ra.io M/F wa. 5.3. Ma.n ca.diova.cula. risk fa.tor wa. smoking toba.co (23.42%), followed by dyslipidemia.(13.92%). Functiona. signs were domina.ed by a.gina.62% followed by dyspnea.25.3%. Persistent ST-segment eleva.ion on electroca.diogra. wa. present in 76.4%. Left ventricula. systolic dysfunction wa. present in 26.5%. Time to first medica. conta.t wa. more tha. 12 hours in 62.7% of ca.es. Ra.ia. a.proa.h wa. a.opted in 94% of ca.es. Corona.y a.giogra.hy wa. pa.hologica. in 85% (n = 51) of ca.es. Lesions were single-vessel disea.e in 47.1% a.d culprit a.tery wa. a.terior interventricula. in 51% of ca.es. Dua. a.ti-pla.elet a.grega.ion wa. a.pirin a.d tica.relor in 91.8% of ca.es. a.giopla.ty wa. performed in a.l pa.ients who ha. significa.t a.norma.ities a. corona.y a.giogra.hy. In-hospita. morta.ity wa. 3.9%. Conclusion: a.ute corona.y syndromes exist in young a.rica.s with a.ma.e predomina.ce. Ma.n ca.diova.cula. risk fa.tor is smoking toba.co. Pa.ients a.d Methods: Descriptive study from September 2019 to December 2023 in the Ca.diology Depa.tment of the Hôpita. Mère-Enfa.t of Ba.a.o. Inclusion criteria.were pa.ients a.mitted for corona.y a.giogra.hy with the dia.nosis of a.ute corona.y syndrome. Results: During the study period, 1253 pa.ients underwent corona.y a.giogra.hy, 596 of whom ha. a.ute corona.y syndrome a. a. indica.ion, representing a.hospita. frequency of 47%. Sex-ra.io wa. 2.10. Mea. a.e of pa.ients wa. 58.5 ± 11.39 yea.s. ST eleva.ion a.ute corona.y syndrome wa. the most common indica.ion with 63.92% of ca.es. High blood pressure wa. the ma.n ca.diova.cula. risk fa.tor with 58.7% of ca.es, a.d ra.ia. a.cess a.proa.h wa. used in 98% of ca.es. Corona.y a.giogra.hy wa. pa.hologica. in 91.70% of ca.es (n = 548). Pa.ients with lesions of a.terior interventricula. a.tery were 73.73% of ca.es. Tritrunca. lesions a.counted for 40.63% of ca.es. Conclusion: ST eleva.ion a.ute corona.y syndrome is the most frequent ma.ifesta.ion of a.ute corona.y syndrome. a.terior interventricula. a.tery is most often the culprit lesion for our pa.ients.

Introduction: a.ute myelobla.tic leuka.mia.(a.L) is a.ha.ma.ologica. ma.igna.cy with a.poor prognosis, despite significa.t thera.eutic progress. This study presents the results of a.L ma.a.ement in Ma.i a.cording to GFa.P recommenda.ions. Methodology: This wa. a.retrospective, cross-sectiona. study. It included pa.ients a.ed 0 - 15 yea.s trea.ed in the pa.dia.ric oncology unit for a.L a.d followed up between Ja.ua.y 2016 a.d December 2020. Results: During the study period, 85 ca.es of a.ute leuka.mia.were dia.nosed in the pa.dia.ric oncology unit (including 51 ca.es of a.L), of which 34 ca.es of a.L were included in this study. The ma.ority were boys (59%). The mea. a.e wa. 8 yea.s, with extremes of 18 months a.d 15 yea.s. The mea. time to dia.nosis wa. 68 da.s. In 79% of ca.es, pa.ients were referred by 1st or 2nd level hospita.s. a.a.mia.wa. observed in 91% of ca.es, a. infectious syndrome in 68%, ha.morrha.e in 56% a.d a.tumour syndrome in 85%. The ha.mogra. showed hyperleukocytosis in 15% of ca.es, thrombocytosis in 22% a.d severe a.a.mia.in 73%. Dea.h occurred in 85% of ca.es, most often in the context of sepsis or ha.morrha.e. Conclusion: a.L is proba.ly underestima.ed in Ma.i a.d dia.nosis dela.ed, which ma. be expla.ned by pa.ient-rela.ed fa.tors (la.k of knowledge, fina.cia. constra.nts) a.d a.cumbersome referra. system. These results suggest the need to implement a. a.propria.e dia.nostic a.d thera.eutic stra.egy, with strong involvement of the politica. a.thorities.

Introduction: High blood pressure is defined a. blood pressure grea.er tha. or equa. to 140 mm Hg for systolic a.d or 90 mm Hg for dia.tolic. It constitutes a.ma.or public hea.th problem, the lea.ing chronic disea.e in the world. The objective wa. to determine the preva.ence, trea.ment ra.e a.d control of hypertension. Methods: This wa. a.cross-sectiona. a.d descriptive study which took pla.e over a.period of 6 months in a.hospita. environment a.d in the genera. popula.ion. Results: Of the 1000 pa.ticipa.ts, 637 ha. hypertension, giving a.preva.ence of 63.70% with a.fema.e predomina.ce. Thirty-three percent (33%) were una.a.e of their high blood pressure. The a.e group 60 a.d more wa. the most represented (44%). a.proportion of 33 a.d 23.20 were overweight a.d obese pa.ticipa.ts, respectively. Ma.e subjects were more overweight tha. fema.e, unlike obesity which wa. more common a.ong fema.e subjects. Sixty-two percent (62%) of hypertensives were trea.ed, of whom 44% were non-complia.t. The excessively high cost a.d consumption of medica.ions a. needed were the ma.n fa.tors in thera.eutic non-complia.ce. Twenty-two percent (22%) of a.l hypertensive pa.ients a.d 35% of trea.ed hypertensive pa.ients were controlled. Women were more trea.ed but less observa.t a.d less controlled tha. men. Thera.eutic covera.e a.d combina.ion thera.y ra.es were lower in rura. a.ea.. Hypertensives who ha. a.high level of educa.ion were better trea.ed a.d controlled tha. those who ha. no level. Conclusion: High blood pressure rema.ns a.rea. public hea.th problem in Ma.i. It is more common in people a.ed 60 a.d over a.d in fema.es. One in three hypertensives were una.a.e of their hypertension. The ma.ority received a.tihypertensive trea.ments, but only a.minority of them ha. their hypertension controlled.

Introduction: Ma.nutrition a.ts on the immune system a.d thus increa.es susceptibility to infections. Infections ca. wea.en the body a.d ca.se ma.nutrition, so we spea. of a.vicious circle between ma.nutrition a.d infection. Objective: To study the clinica. a.d epidemiologica. a.pects of severe a.ute ma.nutrition in children a.ed 6 to 59 months. Methodology: This wa. a.prospective a.d descriptive study extending from July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019. a.l severely a.ute ma.nourished children a.ed 6 to 59 months were hospita.ized a. URENI whose pa.ents or ca.eers a.cepted their pa.ticipa.ion in the study. Results: Severe a.ute ma.nutrition wa. dia.nosed in 398 of the 671 hospita.ized children, i.e. 59.3%. The media. a.e wa. 15.33 months (2 months - 59 months). The sex ra.io wa. 1.03 (M = 50.8 F = 49.2). Eighty-seven percent of mothers were housewives. Pa.ents were uneduca.ed in 49.3% for mothers a.d 51.8% for fa.hers. Ma.a.mus represented 93.5% of ca.es, children dia.nosed with HIV+ represented 6.3% with exclusively HIV1 (100%). Pneumopa.hy wa. most frequently a.socia.ed pa.hology with 33.4%. The dura.ion of hospita.iza.ion wa. less tha. 7 da.s in 67.6% of ca.es a.d 93.3% of children ha. been successfully trea.ed. The morta.ity ra.e wa. 4%. Conclusion: Ma.nutrition still rema.ns a.public hea.th problem a.fecting ma.nly children a.ed 13 to 24 months, ma.nly from low-income fa.ilies.

Ma.nutrition is a.ma.or public hea.th problem in Ma.i, a.ong with the country’s politica. a.d security insta.ility. We initia.ed this work with the objective of determining the frequency a. well a. the risk fa.tors fa.oring the occurrence of ma.nutrition in children a.ed 6a.>a.> a.>a.>-a.>a.> a.>a.>59 months hospitalized in the pediatrics department of the Gabriel Touré University Hospital in Bamako, country reference service to identify potential interventions to plan. A cross-sectional study was carried out over a period of 4 months. A bivariate logistic regression analysis allowed us to identify risk factors with degree of significance if pa.>a.> a.>a.>0.05. During the study period, 2888 children were hospitalized, including 348 aged 6 to 59 months, or a frequency of 12.04%. Ma.eria.s a.d methods: This wa. a.retrospective study from Ja.ua.y 1st, 2017 to Februa.y 28, 2018 a.d a.prospective study from Ma.ch 1, 2018 to December 31, 2019, concerning sickle cell disea.e children followed a. the Ga.riel Touré University Hospita.. a.l children with sickle cell disea.e confirmed by hemoglobin electrophoresis, a.ed 6 months to 15 yea.s with a.pulmona.y complica.ion a.d a.mitted to pedia.rics were included. Were not included: 1) Infa.ts a.d children with sickle cell disea.e not presenting a.pulmona.y complica.ion coming only to their routine follow-up. 2) Sickle cell pa.ients over 16 yea.s of a.e a.d those whose pa.ents do not consent. 3) Those who ha.e not done electrophoresis. Results: During the study period, we were a.le to include 45 sickle cell children with a.pulmona.y complica.ion. The frequency of pulmona.y complica.ions wa. 13.76%, involving homozygotes in 91.11% of ca.es. The a.e group 6 - 10 yea.s predomina.ed with 46.66% a.d the sex ra.io wa. 0.45. Va.o-occlusive crisis wa. the most frequent rea.on for consulta.ion with 35.56%. Respira.ory distress (80%), fever (66.67%), crepitus ra.es (64.44%) a.d chest pa.n (60%) were the most frequent clinica. signs. The ma.n pulmona.y complica.ion wa. a.ute chest syndrome with 86.67%. Trea.ment wa. ba.ed on hydra.ion (91.91%), a.a.gesics (91.91%) a.d a.tibiotics (73.33%). Letha.ity wa. 4.44%. Conclusion: Pulmona.y complica.ions of sickle cell disea.e a.e serious a.d constitute the ma.n ca.se of morta.ity in our context.

Introduction: Neurologica. complica.ions a.e possible during infective endoca.ditis. They a.e often life-threa.ening a.d ca. be a.source of sequela.. Ca.e Presenta.ion: We report the ca.e of a. 11-yea.-old pa.ient a.mitted to the ca.diology depa.tment of the CHU-ME “LUXEMBOURG” in Ba.a.o for functiona. impotence of the left hemibody, a.compa.ied by fever a.d NYHa.sta.e II dyspnea. The clinica. exa.ina.ion on a.mission shows the poor genera. condition, norma. consciousness, a.d sensory-motor deficit of the pyra.ida. type of the left hemibody. The ca.diova.cula. exa.ina.ion notes a.systolic murmur a. the mitra. focus, hepa.o-jugula. reflux, hepa.omega.y, a.d slight edema.in the lower limbs. Bra.n CT showed loca.ized hypodensity in fa.or of a. ischemic stroke. The electroca.diogra. shows a.sinus rhythm. Tra.sthora.ic Doppler echoca.diogra.hy revea.ed mitra. insufficiency with vegeta.ion of 17 × 14 mm on the a.terior mitra. va.ve, with left ventricula. ejection fra.tion estima.ed a. 75%. Dua. a.tibiotic thera.y a.socia.ed with conventiona. trea.ment for hea.t fa.lure wa. initia.ed. The clinica. evolution wa. ma.ked by the persistence of the deficit of the left upper limb, the ca.dia. Doppler echogra.hy of control a.ter 6 weeks of trea.ment found the sa.e vegeta.ion. a.discussion with the hea.t tea. with a.view to a.surgica. cure ha. been initia.ed for the rest of the trea.ment. Conclusion: a.motor deficit a.socia.ed with fever rela.ed to a. ischemic va.cula. a.cident should lea. to a.sea.ch for infective endoca.ditis on ca.dia. Doppler ultra.ound.
