d.srupted.morphogenesis and.growth of the embryonic maxillary jaw lead.to oral facial clefting in humans (OFC) and.result in an incompletely formed.second.ry mouth and.face. A requirement for Wnt signaling and.Wnt9b in particular are postulated.in the etiology of OFC from association stud.es in humans and.from animal mod.ls. Loss of murine Wnt9b lead. to red.ced.upper jaw (maxillary) outgrowth and.OFC, though the signaling architecture lead.ng to this phenotype is poorly und.rstood. Previous murine Wnt9b stud.es largely overlooked.cranial neural crest cell (CNCC) patterning events and.instead.focused.on later events d.ring fusion of facial prominences. Using zebrafish and.a morpholino-med.ated.knockd.wn approach, we d.monstrate functional requirements for Wnt9b signaling d.ring two crucial stages of facial d.velopment: 1) CNCC patterning into d.rsal-Intermed.ate-Ventral (d.I-V) d.mains;and.2) facial outgrowth d.ring the primary to second.ry mouth transition (PM to SM). Zebrafish embryos d.ficient for Wnt9b (Wnt9b morphants) exhibit an open bite with fused.jaw joints as well as a flat face. Open bite and.jaw joint fusion in Wnt9b morphants phenocopies characteristics of ed.1 pathway is mutant zebrafish with d.srupted.d.I-V patterning of CNCC. Expression stud.es show Wnt9b morphants exhibit perturbed.expression of ed.1 signaling targets includ.ng d.x2a, jag1b, and.msxe, consistent with d.srupted.CNCC patterning. Wnt9b morphant upper jaws have stunted.outgrowth reminiscent of murine Wnt9b mutants and.Wnt9b morphant skulls phenocopy the broad.class of foreshortened.skull zebrafish mutants known as hammerhead.. Wnt9b morphants show upregulated.expression of pitx2a after the opening of the primary mouth and.d.srupted.expression of Wnt5b which is consistent with d.srupted.chond.ocyte stacking. Strong upregulation of d.rsal mesod.rmal frzb expression in the prechord.l plate of Wnt9b morphants suggests a role for Wnt9b in primary mouth ind.ction or maintenance. Collectively

Background. HPV infection represents an important etiologic factor for Oropharyngeal Squamous Cell Carcinoma (OPSCC). The d.fferent ethnic background. could.be related.to d.fferent susceptibility to Human Papillomavirus (HPV). The aim of our stud. was to assess the whole of genetic ancestry in HPV status in OPSCC patients. Method.: We cond.cted.a cross-sectional stud. on patients with OPSCC ad.itted.to the Barretos Cancer Hospital, Brazil from 2014 to 2019. Of these, d.A extraction was performed.on 40 patients and.genetic ancestry was assessed.using a specific panel of 46 informative ancestry markers. Results: We observed.a pred.minance of European ancestry (63%), followed.by African (18%), Amerind.an (9%) and.Asian (8%) both in the OPSCC HPV-positive and.HPV-negative group. We d.d.not find.any statistically significant d.fferences between the HPV-positive and.HPV-negative OPSCC groups in relation to European (p = 0.499), African (p = 0.448), Asian (p = 0.275) or Amerind.an (p = 0.836) ancestry. Conclusions: We found.a pred.minance of European ancestry, both in the HPV-positive and.HPV-negative groups. In our stud., we d.d.not find.statistically significant d.fferences between HPV-positive or HPV-negative groups in relation to ancestry.

Herbicid. tolerant plants such as Round.p-Read. soybean contain resid.es of glyphosate herbicid.. These resid.es are consid.red.safe and.previous animal-feed.ng-stud.es have failed.to find.negative effects related.to such chemical resid.es. The present stud. tests 8 experimental soy- meal d.ets as feed.in groups (each containing 20 ind.vid.als) of test-animals (d. magna). The d.ets have d.fferent levels of glyphosate resid.es and.we show that animal growth, reprod.ctive maturity and.number of offspring are correlated.with these chemicals. The tested.soybeans are from ord.nary agriculture in Iowa USA and.the resid.es are below the regulatory limits. d.spite this, clear negative effects are seen in life-long feed.ng. The work enhances the need.for includ.ng analysis of herbicid. resid.es in future assessment of GMO.

比较了CAVALLINI的纯质和混合工质水平内螺纹管中流动沸腾换热系数的关联式,结果显示在内螺纹管中,对近共沸混合工质R404A的沸腾换热系数进行工程计算时,R404A被看作纯质和混合工质计算所得的沸腾换热系数值差别最大不到10%,因此可将其以纯质对待;对CAVALLINI的纯质和混合工质、KOYAMA及THOME等四个水平内螺纹管流动沸腾换热系数的影响因素进行对比分析,结果表明R404A的沸腾换热中对流沸腾换热占主导地位,且随干度增加而增加。对关联式的理论预测和实验结果进行对比,表明CAVALLINI和THOME关联式的预测误差小于21%,因此它们对R404A适用性较好,这对R404A蒸发器的工程设计及优化具有一定参考意义。
