醛固酮与肥胖、代谢综合征(metabolic syndrome,MS)、炎症和血栓前状态有关;然而,大多数研究将这些指标与原发性醛固酮增多症(primary aldosteronism,PA)联系起来,排除了非PA的患者。本研究旨在确定在非PA人群中醛固酮、肾素或血浆醛固酮与肾素比值(plasma aldosterone to renin ratio,ARR)与代谢紊乱和炎症/血管生物标志物是否相关。方法:对275例患者(包括2种性别和青少年)进行血浆和尿醛固酮检测,并测定血浆肾素活性。在所有受试者中,MS的诊断根据美国国家胆固醇教育计划成人治疗组(adult treatment panel,ATP)第三次报告Ⅲ(ATPⅢ)来确定,并对代表肾脏、血管、炎症和盐皮质激素活性的生物标记物进行评估。

Developing applications for the by-products obtained from waste processing is vital for resource *** synthesis of ZnCl2-activated biochar with high electrocatalytic activity was carried out by the microwave-assisted pyrolysis of pineapple peel and subsequent chemical activation *** biochar is employed in the electrochemical sensing of nitrite by drop casting in a glassy carbon electrode(GCE).The activated biochar exhibited a stacked carbon sheet,254 m2 g−1 Brunauer,Emmett and Teller(BET)surface area,0.076 cm3 g−1 pore volume,189.53 m2 g−1 micropore area and oxygen-containing functional *** electrochemical impedance spectroscopy of the modified GCE showed a reduced charge transfer resistance of 61%.This is crucial to determine the electrochemical properties of *** sensor showed a significant current response and an excellent limit of detection of 0.97µmol L−*** modified-activated biochar electrochemical sensor demonstrated high selectivity,reproducibility(RSD=2.4%),and stability(RSD=2.6%).

Landslides in intertropical mountainous areas of Mexico are a natural hazard that could potentially generate a disaster. Despite this, many areas lack landslide inventories, making it difficult to monitor and efficiently manage the associated risks for local populations. for this reason, the aim of this research was to undertake a multitemporal landslide inventory and analyze its conditioning factors in the Pico de Tancítaro stratovolcano, which, in recent decades, has presented several high-risk geomorphological events with disastrous consequences for nearby localities. The spatial distribution of landslides and its conditioning factors were mapped at a 1:50,000 scale for the 1995-2020 period, through visual interpretation of orthophotos and satellite images(Landsat, SPOT, and SENTINEL). The conditioning factors that link the most to landslides were Quaternary andesite and basaltic andesite rocks;volcanic cones, mountain river valleys, and very steep to steep slopes(30° to >45°), oriented to the South, North, and East;Andosols and Leptosols;and the oyamel fir and mixed forests. 505 landslide events classified into slides and flows that occurred in 1995, 2004, 2010, and 2015 were identified. New scars generated by the reactivation of landslide processes were also observed. The landslides in the study area were triggered by torrential rains caused by hurricanes and tropical storms;such as hurricanes Alex and Patricia. The inventory and analysis of conditioning factors highlighted the distribution and dynamics of slides and flows in the study area. In addition, the most important factors for studies of landslide susceptibility, hazards, and risks in the Pico de Tancítaro stratovolcano were identified, contributing to the management of geomorphological risks in intertropical mountain areas.

Background:Previous studies have demonstrated the prognostic significance of pathologic tumor response in pancreatic adenocarcinoma following neoadjuvant therapy(NAT).The aim of this study was to determine the incidence of significant pathologic response to NAT in borderline resectable pancreatic cancer(BRPC),and association of NAT regimen and other clinico-pathologic characteristics with pathologic ***:Patients with BRPC who underwent NAT and pancreatic resection between January 2012 and June 2017 were *** response was assessed on a qualitative scale based on the College of American Pathologists grading *** and baseline characteristics,oncologic treatment,pathology,and survival outcomes were ***:Seventy-one patients were included for *** patients had complete pathologic responses(tumor regression score 0),12 patients had marked responses(score 1),42 had moderate responses(score 2),and 13 had minimal responses(score 3).Patients with complete or marked responses were more likely to have received neoadjuvant gemcitabine chemoradiation(62.5%,38.1%,and 23.1%of the complete/marked,moderate,and minimal response groups,respectively;P=0.04).Of the complete/marked,moderate,and minimal response groups,margins were negative in 75.0%,78.6%,and 46.2%(P=0.16);node negative disease was observed in 87.5%,54.8%,and 15.4%(Pf the four patients with pathologic complete responses,three were disease-free at 66.1,41.7 and 31.4 months,and one was deceased with metastatic liver disease at 16.9 ***:A more pronounced pathologic tumor response to NAT in BRPC is correlated with node negative disease,but was not associated with a statistically significant survival benefit in this study.
