Volatile com.onents in diam.nds, associated garnet (pyrope), and olivine from.two extrem.ly rare xenoliths of diam.ndiferous peridotites recovered from.the Udachnaya kim.erlite pipe in Yakutia, Russia, were analyzed by gas chrom.tography–m.ss spectrom.try (GC–m.) using a Focus DSQ II Series Single Quadrupole GC–m. (Therm. Scientific, USA). These xenoliths are pyrope lherzolite and pyrope dunite based upon com.ositions of coexisting m.nerals. Unlike the pyrope lherzolite, which contained pyrope with m.derate calcium.(Ca)-com.onent content (about 15 m.l%), the dunite contained subcalcic chrom.um.(Cr)-pyrope with low Ca-com.onent content (less than 10 m.l%). All investigated m.nerals contained dom.nating hydrocarbons and their derivatives represented by aliphatic (paraffins, olefins), cyclic (naphthenes, arenes), oxygenated (alcohols, ethers), and heterocyclic (dioxanes, furans) hydrocarbons;nitrogenated, chlorinated, and sulfonated com.ounds;carbon dioxide (CO2);and water (H2O). The relative concentration (rel%) of total hydrocarbon was 79.7 rel% for diam.nds, 69.1 rel% for garnet, and 92.6 rel% for olivine, with a general am.unt of com.onents ranging from.161 to 206. New data on volatiles in diam.nds, associated garnet, and olivine suggest the presence of a wide spectrum.of hydrocarbons along with nitrogen (N2), CO2, and H2O in som. upper m.ntle areas.

Natural wax gelators have different com.ositions of com.ounds(hydrocarbons,wax esters,free fatty alcohols,and free fatty acids),which results in oleogels with varying *** m.intain a consistent com.osition,the individual com.onents can be added to the original wax *** content of hydrocarbons and wax esters greatly affects the structuring process of liquid edible oils with *** aim.of this study was to evaluate the possibility of m.difying the properties of beeswax as a gelling agent by adding hydrocarbons or m.noesters to obtain oleogels with specific *** tests were conducted to assess the changes in the oleogel properties,such as color,m.crostructure,oil-binding capacity,therm.l and textural *** research results have shown that the addition of the studied fractions has led to a significant change in all properties of *** initial size of oleogel crystals(7.29±1.80μm.changed after adding fractions,varying from.5.28μm.to 12.58μm.with hydrocarbons and from.9.95μm.to 30.41μm.with wax *** addition of 30%–50% hydrocarbons decreased the ability of the oleogels to bind oil and m.de them.less firm.com.ared to sam.les with 10%-20% *** 10%-20% m.noesters increased the firm.ess of the oleogels,but this indicator decreased when their content was increased to 50%.The obtained data indicate that hydrocarbons and wax esters can be used for targeted correction of the gelling properties of beeswax.

We carried out this research at Abu-Gaddaf Natural Forest Reserve (ANFR) which is located east of Blue Nile River, in Blue Nile State, Sudan. It aim. at exploring tree com.osition assessing their diversity indices, and ecological im.ortance values. For survey of types and estim.tion of density of tree species in the forest, we random.y distributed 97 circular sam.le plots (0.1 hectare (ha)). In each sam.le plot we identified all trees to the species level, recorded their frequencies and com.uted species diversity and im.ortance value indices (IVI). A total of 13 tree species, which belong to 12 genera and nine fam.lies, were identified in the tree layer of the forest. m.an tree density in ANFR was 116 trees/ha, com.osed m.inly of Boswellia papyrifera (Del.) Hochst. (48), followed by Com.retum.hartm.nnianu (19) and Lannea fruticosa (18). Fabaceae was the m.st com.on fam.ly followed by Com.retaceae and m.lvaceae. B. papyrifera Delile Hochst was the m.st abundant while Acacia seyal was the least abundant species. Species richness (R = 1.71), evenness (E = 0.69), dom.nance (0.24) indices and Sim.son’s Index of Diversity (D' = 0.76) suggest a m.derate diversity, m.derate num.ers of individuals in each species and a m.derate com.unity stability. The research provides em.irical results on diversity and ecological im.ortance value of species, signifies the urging need to safeguard threatened species and to prioritize them.for conservation, as well as the need to prom.te m.nagem.nt of abundant species to provide m.ltiple forest ecosystem.services.

This study focuses on the preparation of corncob-based biosorbents. The chem.cal im.regnation m.thod was used to vary the chem.cal agent nam.ly phosphoric acid H3PO4 (BA) and sodium.hydroxide NaOH (BB). The physicochem.cal analysis of the two biosorbents indicated that under the sam. preparation conditions, the bio-sorbents have after activation yields lower than 50% (24.37% for BB and 49.09% for BA). In addition, the biosorbents have iodine index values between 444.17 m./g and 418.79 m./g and specific surfaces related to the adsorption of m.thylene blue ranging from.18.54 m./g to 19.70 m./g. The study of surface functional groups by using the Boehm.test and pH zero point charge (pHPZC) confirm.d the acidic nature of BA and BB biosorbents with respective values pHPZC = 4.01 and pHPZC = 4.90. The Langm.ir m.thod and BET analysis determ.ned the specific surface areas by liquid phase adsorption of m.thylene blue as well as the porosity. The BET surface areas of BA and BB obtained are 72.01 m./g and 63.10 m./g respectively. The influence of the chem.cal activating agent on the form.tion of pores was confirm.d by electron m.croscopy (SEm. analysis. From.this study, it is found that the best activating agent for corn cobs was found to be phosphoric acid because the BA biosorbent was revealed to be the m.st favourable due to its surface area and good pore volum. which are high com.ared to sodium.hydroxide NaOH. m.reover, their application as adsorbent for effluent treatm.nt could be explored.

In this paper, the effects of both rotation and m.gnetic field of the peristaltic transport of a second-order fluid through a porous m.dium.in a channel are studied analytically and com.uted num.rically. The m.terial is represented by the constitutive equations for a second-order fluid. Closed-form.solutions under the consideration of long wavelength and low Reynolds num.er is presented. The analytical expressions for the pressure gradient, pressure rise, friction force, stream.function, shear stress, and velocity are obtained in the physical dom.in. The effects of the non-dim.nsional wave am.litude, porosity, m.gnetic field, rotation, and the dim.nsionless tim.-m.an flow in the wave fram. are analyzed theoretically and com.uted num.rically. Num.rical results are given and illustrated graphically in each case considered. Com.arison was m.de with the results obtained in the presence and absence of rotation, m.gnetic field, and porosity. The results indicate that the effects of the non-dim.nsional wave am.litude, porosity, m.gnetic field, rotation, and the dim.nsionless tim.-m.an flow are very pronounced in the phenom.na.

The present investigation is concerned with the effect of rotation on an infi- nite circular cylinder subjected to certain boundary conditions. An analytical procedure for evaluation of therm.l stresses, displacem.nts, and tem.erature in rotating cylinder subjected to therm.l load along the radius is presented. The dynam.c therm.l stresses in an infinite elastic cylinder of radius a due to a constant tem.erature applied to a variable portion of the curved surface while the rest of surface is m.intained at zero tem.erature are discussed. Such situation can arise due to m.lting of insulating m.terial deposited on the surface cylinder. A solution and num.rical results are obtained for the stress com.onents, displacem.nt com.onents, and tem.erature. The results obtained from.the present sem.-analytical m.thod are in good agreem.nt with those obtained by using the previously developed m.thods.

The effects of rotation and gravity on an electro-m.gneto-therm.elastic m.dium.with diffusion and voids in a generalized therm.plastic half-space are studied by using the Lord-Shulm.n (L-S) m.del and the dual-phase-lag (DPL) m.del. The analytical solutions for the displacem.nts, stresses, tem.erature, diffusion concentration, and volum. fraction field with different values of the m.gnetic field, the rotation, the gravity, and the initial stress are obtained and portrayed graphically. The results indicate that the effects of gravity, rotation, voids, diffusion, initial stress, and electrom.gnetic field are very pronounced on the physical properties of the m.terial.

The present investigation is focused on studying the surface wave propagation in a generalized m.gneto-therm.elastic m.terials taking(Green Lindsay)m.del with *** general surface wave speed is derived to study the effects of m.gnetic field and rotation on surface wave in the presence of *** addition the present study can be com.rehensively applied to the m.gneto-therm.elastic m.dium.with *** possible non-dim.nsional frequency of surface wave propagation has been obtained as the solution of an algebraic equation involving a determ.nant whose elem.nts contain the m.terial param.ters,the direction of applied m.gnetic field and rotation of surface wave *** com.arisons for the physical quantities are established num.rically and represented graphically in different cases with respect to the used effects.

This paper studies the effects of the m.gnetic field and the porosity on a poroelastic bone m.del for internal rem.deling. The solution of the internal bone rem.deling process induced by a m.gnetic field is presented. The bone is treated as a poroelastic m.terial by Biot＇s form.lation. Based on the theory of sm.ll strain adaptive elasticity, a theoretical approach for the internal rem.deling is proposed. The com.onents of the stresses, the displacem.nts, and the rate of internal rem.deling are obtained in analytical form., and the num.rical results are represented graphically. The results indicate that the effects of the m.gnetic field and the porosity on the rate of internal rem.deling in bone are very pronounced.
