Background:To evaluate predictability,stability,efficacy,and safety of transepithelial photorefractive keratectomy(TPRK)using smart pulse technology(SPT)(SmartSurface procedure)of Schwind Amaris with mitomycin C for correction of post small incision lenticule extraction(SMILE)myopic residual refractive ***:This study is a prospective,non-comparative case series conducted at a private eye centre in Ismailia,Egypt,on eyes with post-SMILE myopic residual refractive errors because of undercorrection or suction loss(suction loss occurred after the posterior lenticular cut and the creation of side-cuts;redocking was attempted,and the treatment was completed in the same session with the same parameters)with myopia or myopic *** patients were followed up post-SMILE for six months before the SmartSurface procedure,and then they were followed up for one year after *** were performed using Amaris excimer laser at 500 *** main outcomes included refractive predictability,stability,efficacy,safety and any reported ***:This study included 68 eyes of 40 patients out of 1920 total eyes(3.5%)with post-SMILE technique myopic residual refractive *** average duration between the SMILE surgery and TPRK was 6.7±0.4 months(range 6 to 8 months).The mean refractive spherical equivalent(SE)was within±0.50 D of plano correction in 100%of the eyes at 12 months *** of<0.50 D was achieved in 100%of the *** mean of the residual SE error showed statistically significant improvement from preoperative−1.42±0.52 D to 0.23±0.10 D(P<0.0001).Uncorrected distance visual acuity(UDVA)(measured by Snellen’s chart and averaged in logMAR units)was improved significantly to 0.1±0.07(P<0.0001).UDVA was 0.2 logMAR or better in 100%of the eyes,0.1 logMAR or better in 91.2%of the eyes,and 0.0 logMAR in 20.6%of the *** distance visual acuity(CDVA)remained unchanged in 79.4%of eyes.14.7%of eyes gained one line of CDVA(Snellen).

Strategic maintenance plays a key role in ensuring high availability and utilization of the haul trucks,and as equipment began to grow more complex towards the end of the 20th century,there was a need for a proactive maintenance strategy,which led to the development of condition-based *** condition monitoring(RTCM)is the ability to perform condition monitoring in real-time and has the ability to alert maintenance and operations of abnormal *** alarms can be used as an indication leading to a problem,and if a suitable corrective action is initiated in time,it could result in significant savings of equipment downtime and repair *** study aims to compare some maintenance performance indicators prior to and after implementation of RTCM strategy at a mine site using some tests of statistical *** study also indicated the presence of seasonality in the data,and thus the data was deseasonalized and detrended prior to being subjected to the statistical ***,the results indicated that RTCM strategy has proven to be successful in improving the availability for some of the failure categories chosen in this study.

The present investigation is concerned with the effect of rotation on an infi- nite circular cylinder subjected to certain boundary conditions. An analytical procedure for evaluation of thermal stresses, displacements, and temperature in rotating cylinder subjected to thermal load along the radius is presented. The dynamic thermal stresses in an infinite elastic cylinder of radius a due to a constant temperature applied to a variable portion of the curved surface while the rest of surface is maintained at zero temperature are discussed. Such situation can arise due to melting of insulating material deposited on the surface cylinder. A solution and numerical results are obtained for the stress components, displacement components, and temperature. The results obtained from the present semi-analytical method are in good agreement with those obtained by using the previously developed methods.

This study suggests an optimal renewable energy source(RES)allocation and distribution-static synchronous compensator(D-STATCOM)and passive power filters(PPFs)for an electrical distribution network(EDN)to improve its performance and power quality(PQ).First,the latest metaheuristic artificial rabbits optimization(ARO)is used to locate and size solar photovoltaic(PV),wind turbine(WT)and D-STATCOM *** the second stage,ratings of single-tuned PPFs and D-STATCOMs at the RESs are determined,considering non-linear loads in the *** multi-objective function reduces power loss,improves the voltage stability index(VSI)and limits total harmonic *** using the IEEE 33-bus EDN compared the ARO results with those of previous *** the first scenario,ideally integrated D-STATCOMs,PVs and WTs reduced losses by 34.79%,64.74%and 94.15%,*** increases from 0.6965 to 0.7749,0.8804 and *** optimal WT integration of the first scenario outperformed the PVs and *** second step optimizes the WTs and PQ devices for non-linear *** and D-STATCOMs reduce the maximum total harmonic distortion of the voltage waveform by 5.21%with non-linear loads to 3.23%,while WTs and PPFs reduce it to 4.39%.These scenarios demonstrate how WTs and D-STATCOMs can improve network performance and *** computational efficiency of ARO is compared to that of the pathfinder algorithm,future search algorithm,butterfly optimization algorithm and coyote optimization *** speeds up convergence and improves solution quality and comprehension.

The effect of magnetic field on the plane vibrations for an elastodynamic orthotropic sphere is studied. Equations of elastodynamic problems of the orthotropic hollow sphere in terms of displacement are solved. The numerical results of the frequency equations in the presence of magnetic field are discussed and shown graphically. Compar-isons are made with the result in the presence and absence of magnetic field in the case of orthotropic sphere. The results show that the effect of magnetic field is very pronounced.

The serrated pathway accounts for 30%-35%of colorectal cancer(CRC).Unlike hyperplastic polyps,both sessile serrated lesions(SSLs)and traditional serrated adenomas are premalignant lesions,yet SSLs are considered to be the principal serrated precursor of *** lesions represent a challenge in detection,classification,and removal–contributing to post-colonoscopy ***,it is of the utmost importance to characterize these lesions properly to ensure complete removal.A retrospective cohort study developed a diagnostic scoring system for SSLs to facilitate their detection endoscopically and subsequent *** the study,it can be ascertained that both indistinct border and mucus cap are essential in both recognizing and diagnosing serrated *** proximal colon poses technical challenges for some endoscopists,which is why high-quality colonoscopy plays such an important *** indistinct border of some SSLs poses another challenge due to difficult complete ***,it is imperative that gastroenterologists use the key features of mucus cap,indistinct borders,and size of at least five millimeters along with a high-quality colonoscopy and a good bowel preparation to improve the SSL detection rate.
