This research aims to optimize the utilization of long-term sea level data from the TOPEX/Poseidon,Jason1,Jason2,and Jason3 altimetry missions for tidal *** generate a time series of along-track observations and apply a developed method to produce tidal models with specific tidal constituents for each *** tidal modeling methodology follows an iterative process:partitioning sea surface height(SSH)observations into analysis/training and prediction/validation parts and ultimately identi-fying the set of tidal constituents that provide the best predictions at each time series *** study focuses on developing 1256 time series along the altimetry tracks over the Baltic Sea,each with its own set of tidal *** of the developed tidal models against the sSH observations within the prediction/validation part reveals mean absolute error(mAE)values ranging from 0.0334 m to 0.1349 m,with an average mAE of 0.089 *** same validation process is conducted on the FES2014 and EOT20 global tidal models,demonstrating that our tidal model,referred to as BT23(short for Baltic Tide 2023),outperforms both models with an average mAE improvement of 0.0417 m and 0.0346 m,*** addition to providing details on the development of the time series and the tidal modeling procedure,we offer the 1256 along-track time series and their associated tidal models as supplementary *** encourage the satellite altimetry community to utilize these resources for further research and applications.

This research proposes a novel nature-based design of a new concrete armour unit for the cover layer of a rubblemoundbreakwater. Armour units are versatile with respect to shape, orientation, surface condition details, and ***, a detailed analysis is required to investigate the exact state of their hydraulic interactions and structuralresponses. In this regard, the performance results of several traditional armour units, including the Antifer cube,Tetrapod, X-block and natural stone, are considered for the first step of this study. Then, the related observed resultsare compared with those obtained for a newly designed (artificial coral) armour unit. The research methodology utilizesthe common wave flume test procedure. Furthermore, several verified numerical models in OpenFOAm code areused to gain the extra required data. The proposed armour is configured to provide an effective shore protection as anenvironmental-friendly coastal structure. Thus it is designed with a main trunk including deep grooves to imitate thetypical geometry of a coral type configuration, so as to attain desirable performance. The observed results and ananalytic hierarchy process (AHP) concept are used to compare the hydraulic performance of the studied traditionaland newly proposed (artificial coral) armour units. The results indicate that the artificial coral armour unit demonstratesacceptable performance. The widely used traditional armour units might be replaced by newer designs for betterwave energy dissipation, and more importantly, for fewer adverse effects on the marine environment.

The effects of forward extrusion as well as extrusion combined with reversible torsion (KoBo extrusion)， followed by additional deformation via the maxStrain module of the Gleeble thermomechanical simulator， on the microstructure， mechanical properties， and electrical conductivity of a Cu-0.7mg (wt.%) alloy， were investigated in this work. The simulation results highlighted the critical influence of processing history in determining the equivalent strain distribution. The sample subjected to forward extrusion at 400 ℃and subsequent maxStrain processing (Fm sample)， possessed 76% lower grain size compared to the sample processed solely with maxStrain (Am sample). Likewise， the KoBo-extruded and maxStrain-processed sample (Km sample) exhibited 66% smaller grain size compared to the Am sample. Tensile test results revealed that the Am， Fm， and Km samples， respectively， possessed 251%， 288%， and 360% higher yield strength， and 95%， 121%， and 169% higher tensile strength compared to the initial annealed alloy， as a result of grain refinement as well as deformation strengthening. Finally， the electrical conductivity measurements revealed that Am， Fm， and Km samples， respectively， possessed electrical conductivity values of 37.9， 35.6， and 32.0 (mS/m)， which， considering their mechanical properties， makes them eligible to be categorized as high-strength and high-conductivity copper alloys.

Two bi-part combined models containing reaction equilibrium thermodynamic model and an equation of state(EoS)including cubic plus association(CPA)or modified Soave-Redlich-Kwong(SRK),were employed to correlate H_(2)S solubility in ionic liquids[emim][Lac],[bmim][Ac]and[emim][Pro].RETm and CPA/mSRK are responsible for chemical and phase equilibria calculations,*** RETm defines a complex formation reaction between an H_(2)S and two IL molecules into the liquid phase so that a complex in the form of H_(2)S(IL)_(2)is probable to *** the other side,CPA/mSRK EoSs perform phase equilibria computations to find pressure and vapor phase *** the case of CPA,both of H_(2)S and the ionic liquids were considered as self-associating components which pursue 4 C and 2 B schemes,*** model computes the pure IL parameters using experimental density *** this work,critical properties were estimated through the modified Lydersen-Joback-Reid method,Eotvos and Guggenheim ***,the binary systems were investigated by applying *** presents average absolute deviations(AADs)equal to 2.41%,13.42%and 3.52%for[emim][Lac],[bmim][Ac],and[emim][Pro],***,the AADs obtained by mSRK are 3.75%,5.07%,and 6.06%,*** it is evident from the results,the combination of RETm with both CPA and m SRK EoSs will result in good correlation accuracy.

In this study,we consider an open system from the thermodynamic perspective for an adiabatic FRW universe model in which particle creation occurs within the *** this case,the modified continuity equation is obtained,and then,we make it correspond to the continuity equation of f(T)***,we take f(T)gravity with a viscous fluid in the flat-FRW metric,where T is the torsion *** assume the contents of the universe to be dark matter and dark energy and consider an interaction term between *** interesting point of this study is that we make the modified continuity equation resulting from particle creation equivalent to the matter continuity equation resulting from f(T)*** result of this evaluation establishes a relationship between the number of particles and scale *** what follows,we write the corresponding cosmological parameters in terms of the number of particles and also reconstruct the number of particles in terms of the redshift *** then parameterize the Hubble parameter derived from power-law cosmology with 51 data points from the Hubble observational parameter ***,we plot the corresponding cosmological parameters for dark energy in terms of the redshift to investigate the accelerated expansion of the *** addition,by using the sound speed parameter,we discuss the stability and instability analyses of the present model in different eras of the ***,we plot the density parameter values for dark energy and dark matter in terms of the redshift parameter.

Spectral features and antibacterial properties of Cu-doped ZnO nanoparticles prepared by sol-gel method

Zn（1-x）Cux O（x=0.00, 0.01, 0.03, and 0.05） nanoparticles are synthesized via the sol-gel technique using gelatin and nitrate precursors. The impact of copper concentration on the structural, optical, and antibacterial properties of these nanoparticles is demonstrated. Powder x-ray diffraction investigations have illustrated the organized Cu doping into ZnO nanoparticles up to Cu concentration of 5%（x = 0.05）. However, the peak corresponding to CuO for x= 0.01 is not distinguishable. The images of field emission scanning electron microscopy demonstrate the existence of a nearly spherical shape with a size in the range of 30–52 nm. Doping Cu creates the Cu–O–Zn on the surface and results in a decrease in the crystallite size. Photoluminescence and absorption spectra display that doping Cu causes an increment in the energy band gap. The antibacterial activities of the nanoparticles are examined against Escherichia coli（Gram negative bacteria）cultures using optical density at 600 nm and a comparison of the size of inhibition zone diameter. It is found that both pure and doped ZnO nanoparticles indicate appropriate antibacterial activity which rises with Cu doping.
