Assessing the reliability of integrated electricity and gas systems has become an important issue due to the strong dependence of these energy networks through the power-to-gas(P2G)and combined heat and power(CHP)*** current work,initially,presents a detailed energy flow model for the integrated power and natural gas system in light of the P2G and CHP *** the simultaneous load flow of networks,a contingency analysis procedure is proposed,and reliability is assessed through sequential Monte Carlo *** current study examines the effect of independent and dependent operation of energy networks on the reliability of the *** particular,the effect of employing both P2G and CHP technologies on reliability criteria is *** addition,a series of sensitivity analysis are performed on the size and site of these technologies to investigate their effects on system *** proposed method is implemented on an integrated IEEE 24-bus electrical power system and 20-node Belgian natural gas *** simulation procedure certifies the proposed method for reliability assessment is practical and *** addition,the results prove connection between energy networks through P2G and CHP technologies can improve reliability of networks if the site and size of technologies are properly determined.

In this study, forced nonlinear vibration of a circular micro-plate under two-sided electrostatic, two-sided Casimir and external harmonic forces is investigated analytically. For this purpose, at first, von Karman plate theory including geometrical nonlinearity is used to obtain the deflection of the micro-plate. Galerkin decomposition method is then employed, and nonlinear ordinary differential equations (ODEs) of motion are determined. A harmonic balance method (HBM) is applied to equations and analytical relation for nonlineaT frequency response (F-R) curves are derived for two categories (including and neglecting Casimir force) separately. The analytical results for three cases:(1) semi-linear vibration;(2) weakly nonlinear vibration;(3) highly non linear vibration, are validated by comparing with the numerical solutio ns. After validation, the effects of the voltage and Casimir force on the natural frequency of two-sided capacitor system are investigated. It is shown that by assuming Casimir force in small gap distances, reduction of the natural frequency is considerable. The influences of the applied voltage, damping, micro-plate thickness and Casimir force on the frequency response curves have been presented too. The results of this study can be useful for modeling circular parallel-plates in nano /microelectromechanical transducers such as microphones and pressure sensors.

The most powerful Tohoku–Oki(TO) earthquake that occurred in Japan on 11 March 2011 affected Japan as well as South Korea. In the current study, we investigated contemporary geodetic deformation inside South Korea before and after the TO earthquake using Global Navigation Satellite System(GNSS) measurements from 01 January 2008 to 31 December 2017. Measured velocities of GNSS sites are modeled by Auto-regressive moving average(ARMA) method to analyze the long-term GNSS time-series variation and to investigate the secular tectonic crustal deformation. We found that the maximum co-seismic displacements during the TO earthquake reached up to 36.82 ± 0.21 mm in the east and 5.90 ± 0.08 mm in the north directions. The geometric model of the co-seismic thrust surface was characterized by a rectangular plane with a dip of 12.0° and strike 200°. The thrust is situated at 25 km hypocenter depth, with an area roughly ~470 km long and ~120 km wide. The seismicity pattern after the earthquake indicated that the compressional strain started to be replaced by the extensional strain during the post TO earthquake period from 2011 to 2014. Further, the strain became predominantly extensional during the period 2015 to 2017, revealing an effective rotational change that occurred inside the Korean Peninsula.

In the present work,a chemically modified electrode has been fabricated utilizing Bi_(2)O_(3)/ZnO *** nanocomposite was synthesized by simple sonochemical method and characterized for its structural and morphological properties by using XRD,FESEM,EDAX,HRTEM and XPS *** results clearly indicated co-existence of Bi_(2)O_(3) and ZnO in the nanocomposite with chemical interaction between ***_(2)O_(3)/ZnO nanocomposite based glassy carbon electrode(GCE)was utilized for sensitive voltammetric detection of an anti-biotic drug(balofloxacin).The modification amplified the electroactive surface area of the sensor,thus providing more sites for oxidation of *** and square wave voltammograms revealed that Bi_(2)O_(3)/ZnO modified electrode provides excellent electrocatalytic action towards balofloxacin *** current exhibited a wide linear response in concentration range of 150e1000 nM and detection limit of 40.5 nM was *** modified electrode offered advantages in terms of simplicity of preparation,fair stability(RSD 1.45%),appreciable reproducibility(RSD 2.03%)and *** proposed sensor was applied for determining balofloxacin in commercial pharmaceutical formulations and blood serum samples with the mean recoveries of 99.09% and 99.5%,respectively.

The purpose of the present study is to examine the impact of initial geometric imperfection on the nonlinear dynamical characteristics of functionally graded carbon nanotube-reinforced composite(FG-CNTRC) rectangular plates under a harmonic excitation transverse load. The considered plate is assumed to be made of matrix and single-walled carbon nanotubes(SWCNTs). The rule of mixture is employed to calculate the effective material properties of the plate. Within the framework of the parabolic shear deformation plate theory with taking the influence of transverse shear deformation and rotary inertia into account, Hamilton’s principle is utilized to derive the geometrically nonlinear mathematical formulation including the governing equations and corresponding boundary conditions of initially imperfect FG-CNTRC plates. Afterwards, with the aid of an efficient multistep numerical solution methodology, the frequency-amplitude and forcing-amplitude curves of initially imperfect FG-CNTRC rectangular plates with various edge conditions are provided, demonstrating the influence of initial imperfection,geometrical parameters, and edge conditions. It is displayed that an increase in the initial geometric imperfection intensifies the softening-type behavior of system, while no softening behavior can be found in the frequency-amplitude curve of a perfect plate.

Geochemical indices of soil development on basalt rocks in arid to sub-humid climosequence of Central Iran

Quantitative weathering indices are efficient tools in determining the soil development from the underlying *** order to evaluate the effects of climate on the soils developed under an arid to sub-humid climosequence in central Iran,twenty soil-development indices were *** samples from six pedons were analyzed for routine physico-chemical and geochemical analyses using X-ray fluorescence(XRF).The lowest and highest calculated soil development indices were observed in the arid and sub-humid regions *** the studied indices,fifteen indices showed similar trends concerning the intensity of *** consistency of such trends reveals the feasibility of using these indices to evaluate basalt weathering rate and soil development in arid,semi-arid and sub-humid *** study demonstrated that,among the evaluated weathering indices,the Weathering Index of Parker(WIP)and mass transfer coefficient(τ)were the most proper indices for predicting basalt weathering *** is due to the fact that these indices use the highly mobile earth elements which are the most sensitive elements in basalt chemical *** calculated indices were subdivided into three subgroups including the ratios of mobile/immobile,mobile/mobile and immobile/mobile elements based on the elements used in their *** state of soil evolution was more accurately predicted compared to the other subgroups using the mobile/immobile subgroup of ***,the weathering indices calculated using the mobile elements are better indicators of weathering intensity,soil formation and the exogenous processes across the arid to sub-humid climosequence.
