A Systematic Spectroscopic Study of Four Apollo Lunar Soils

A systematic spectroscopic study including Raman, mid-IR, N1R, and VIS-NIR, is used to investigate four endmember lunar soils. Apollo soils （〈45 μm） 14163, 15271, 67511, and 71501 were selected as endmembers to study, based on their soil chemistry, maturity against space weathering, and the sampling locations. These endmembers include an anorthositic highlands soil （67511）, a low-Ti basaltic soil （15271）, a high-Ti basaltic soil （71501）, and a mafic, KREEPy, impact-melt-rich soil （14163）. We used a laser Raman point-counting procedure to derive mineral modes of the soils and the compositional distributions of major mineral phases, which in turn reflect characteristics of the main source materials for these soils. The mid-IR, NIR, and VIS-NIR spectroscopic properties also yield distinct information on mineralogy, geochemistry, and maturity among the four soils. Knowledge of the mineralogy resulting from the Raman point-counting procedure corresponds well with bulk mineralogy and soil properties based on mid-IR, NIR, and VIS-NIR spectroscopy. The future synergistic application of these spectroscopy methods on the moon will provide a linkage between the results from in situ surface exploration and those from orbital remotesensing observations.

Pollution of Airborne Fungi in Naturally Ventilated Repositories of the Provincial Historical Archive of Santiago de Cuba (Cuba)

Environmental fungi can damage the documentary heritage conserved in archives and affect the personnel’s health if their concentrations,thermo-hygrometric parameters and ventilation conditions are not adequate,problems that can be accentuated by Climate *** aims of this work were to identify and to characterize the airborne fungal pollution of naturally ventilated repositories in the Provincial Historical Archive of Santiago de Cuba and predict the risk that these fungi pose to the staff’s *** air of three repositories of this archive and the outdoor air were sampled in an occasion every time in 2015,2016 and 2017 using a SAS *** obtained fungal concentrations varied from 135.6 CFU/m^(3) to 421.1 CFU/m^(3) and the indoor/outdoor ratios fluctuated from 0.7 to 4.2,evidencing a variable environmental quality over time,but in the third sampling the repositories environments showed good *** and Cladosporium were the predominant genera in these *** was a prevailed species in indoor air,while *** and *** were the species that showed the greatest similarities with the outdoor *** and Talaromyces genera as well as the species Aspergillus uvarum,Alternaria ricini and Cladosporium staurophorum were the first findings for environments of Cuban *** species(***,***,***,***)indicators of moisture problems in the repositories were detected;they are also opportunistic pathogens and toxigenic species but their concentrations were higher than the recommended,demonstrating the potential risk to which the archive personnel is exposed in a circumstantial way.

Despite the wide applications of powder and solid mixing in industry, knowledge on the mixing of polydisperse solid particles in rotary drum blenders is lacking. This study investigates the mixing of monodisperse, bidisperse, tridisperse, and polydisperse solid particles in a rotary drum using the dis- crete element method. To validate the model developed in this study, experimental and simulation results were compared. The validated model was then employed to investigate the effects of the drum rotational speed, particle size, and initial loading method on the mixing quality. The degree of mixing of polydis- perse particles was smaller than that for monodisperse particles owing to the segregation phenomenon. The mixing index increased from an initial value to a maximum and decreased slightly before reaching a plateau for bidisperse, tridisperse, and polydisperse particles as a direct result of the segregation of par- ticles of different sizes. Final mixing indices were higher for polydisperse particles than for tridisperse and bidisperse particles. Additionally, segregation was weakened by introducing additional particles of intermediate size. The best mixing of bidisperse and tridisperse particles was achieved for top-bottom smaller-to-larger initial loading, while that of polydisperse systems was achieved using top-bottom smaller-to-larger and top-bottom larger-to-smaller initial loading methods.

由于周围高大建筑物、树木等的遮挡,光伏阵列经常处在局部阴影中。而光伏阵列是光伏发电系统的关键部分,其电气特性容易受到光伏电池温度、太阳光辐射强度和负载阻抗等因素的影响。为了能够获得光伏阵列最大输出功率,建立其电气特性模型尤为重要。本文首先基于光伏阵列的工作原理,提出了一种快速建立局部阴影下光伏阵列数学模型的方法。然后,以建立数学模型的思想为基础,运用支持向量机理论,并分别通过交叉验证法和遗传算法对支持向量机中的未知参数寻优,得到能反映局部阴影条件下光伏阵列电气特性的伏安I-V曲线和功率电压P-V曲线。实验结果表明,基于支持向量机理论建立的模型能较好地反映实际光伏阵列的模型,而且模型的泛化能力强,可以作为局部阴影条件下光伏阵列建模的有效方法。

The aim of this work was to analyze the effect of the magnetic field generated by the household appliances on the airborne microbial surrounding these equipment located on indoor environments with particular interest in the environmental fungi.A simultaneous environmental study was carried out in locals of three different geographical places of Havana,Cuba,which have televisions,computers and an electric *** air samples were made by a sedimentation method using malt Extract *** concentration of total aerobic mesophilic as well as fungi and yeasts were determined in rainy and little rainy seasons by applying as factors:exposure time of dishes(5 to 60 min)and distance to the wall(0 and 1 m)at a height of 1 m above the *** predominant fungal genera were Cladosporium,Penicillium and *** the dishes that were placed at 0 and 0.5 m from the emitting sources were observed that some bacteria colonies formed inhibition halos,a great diversity of filamentous fungi and an increase in the mycelium pigmentation as well as the pigments *** the rainy season,the highest amounts of fungi were obtained in all *** the little rain season the count of the Gram-negative bacilli increased three times the Gram-positive cocci.

在风机系统速度控制器设计和闭环系统稳定性分析时,应用李雅普诺夫(Lyapunov)稳定性理论可以有效地提高风机速度控制系统的控制性能。文章基于李雅普诺夫稳定性理论研究了一类转动负载为不确定非线性函数的风机速度控制系统,通过引入辅助变量估计未知参数并应用反步法设计速度控制器,探索了风机速度对于给定参考速度的全局渐近跟踪控制问题。结果表明:基于李雅普诺夫稳定性理论证明了所设计的速度控制器能够实现对任意给定速度的渐近跟踪控制并达到稳定状态;matlab仿真结果验证了控制算法的有效性,控制方案对风机速度控制系统中存在的未知参数具有良好的稳定性。

Objective: To estimate prevalence, incidence, and rate of progression of mild cognitive impairment (mCI) to dementia and correlated vascular risk factors wit h incident mCI and its progression to dementia. methods: The authors evaluated 2 ,963 individuals from the population-based sample of 5,632 subjects 65 to 84 y ears old, at the first (1992 to 1993) and second survey (1995 to 1996) of the It alian Longitudinal Study on Aging (ILSA), with a 3.5- year follow-up. Dementi a, Alzheimer disease (AD), vascular dementia (VaD), other types of dementia, and mCI were classified using current clinical criteria. Results: Among the 2,963 p articipants, 139 mCI patients were diagnosed at the first ILSA survey. During th e 3.5- year followup, 113 new events of mCI were diagnosed with an estimated in cidence rate of 21.5 per 1,000 person-years. We found a progression rate to de mentia (all causes) of 3.8/100 person-years. Specific progression rates for AD , VaD, and other types of dementia were 2.3, 1.3, and 0.3/100 person-years. Fu rthermore,age was a risk factor for incident mCI (RR: 5.93, 95% CI: 3.17 to 11 .10), while education was protective (RR: 0.06, 95% CI: 0.03 to 0.10), and ser um total cholesterol evidenced a borderline nonsignificant trend for a protectiv e effect. There was a nonsignificant trend for stroke as a risk factor of progre ssion of mCI to dementia. Conclusions: In this population, among those who progr essed to dementia, 60% progressed to AD and 33% to VaD. Vascular risk factor s influence incident mild cognitive impairment and the rate of progression to de mentia.
