Recent years have seen an explosion in graph data from a variety of scientific,social and technological *** these fields,emotion recognition is an interesting research area because it finds many applications in real life such as in effective social robotics to increase the interactivity of the robot with human,driver safety during driving,pain monitoring during surgery etc.A novel facial emotion recognition based on graph mining has been proposed in this paper to make a paradigm shift in the way of representing the face region,where the face region is represented as a graph of nodes and edges and the gSpan frequent sub-graphs mining algorithm is used to find the frequent sub-structures in the graph database of each *** reduce the number of generated sub-graphs,overlap ratio metric is utilized for this *** encoding the final selected sub-graphs,binary classification is then applied to classify the emotion of the queried input facial image using six levels of *** cat swarm intelligence is applied within each level of classification to select proper sub-graphs that give the highest accuracy in that *** experiments have been conducted using Surrey Audio-Visual Expressed Emotion(SAVEE)database and the final system accuracy was 90.00%.The results show significant accuracy improvements(about 2%)by the proposed system in comparison to current published works in SAVEE database.

The study examines the impact of microstructure and polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) grafting on the degradability of Zn–Mg alloys. The mechanical properties ofa Zn alloy containing 0.68 wt% Mg and extruded at 200 ◦C are enhanced for degradable load-bearing applications, addressing a crucial need in the field. The materialexhibits a bimodal grain size distribution that is random texture, consisting of secondary phases, grains, and sub-grains. With an elongation to failure of 16 %, theyield and ultimate tensile strengths are 325.9 and 414.5 MPa, respectively, and the compressive yield strength is 450.5 *** “grafting-from” method was used to coat a few micrometers thick of PMMA on both bulk and scaffold Zn alloys to mitigate the corrosion rate. The last one is aporous structure, with a porosity of 65.8 %, considered as in the first approach of an orthopedic implant. After being immersed for 720 h, the PMMA-grafted bulkalloy’s corrosion rate decreased from 0.43 to 0.25 mm/y. Similarly, the scaffold alloy’s corrosion rate reduced from 1.24 to 0.49 mm/y. These results indicate that themethod employed could be used for future orthopedic applications.

The objective of the current study was to assess the contamination of potentially toxic metals(PTMs) in weathered surface sediment, along stream tributaries, and surrounding area of the river Chitral, Shyok suture zone district Chitral, Pakistan. To understand the geochemical features of 113 sediment, samples were collected from the Mirkhani and Drosh area. Then, different statistical tools including the geoaccumulation index(Igeo), cluster analysis(CA), principal component analysis(PCA), and ecological risk assessment(ERA) were used to unravel the origin, intensity, and exposure level of PTMs to control risk and restore the ecosystem within the study area. The results for the PTMs namely nickle(Ni),chromium(Cr), copper(Cu), cadmium(Cd), lead(Pb), zinc(Zn), and cobalt(Co) in Mirkhani and Drosh were in the following ranges: 10 e150, 15 e210, 15 e250, 0.08 e1.00, 10 e70, 76 e240 and 14 e51; and 13 e240, 17 e210, 15 e150, 0.08 e0.60, 7 e140, 47 e150 and 13 e36 mg/kg, respectively. In consequence, the potential ecological risk caused by Pb, Ni, Cu, Co, Cr, and Zn is reflected by the percentages of samples with an ecological risk index(ERI) greater than one which were 100%, 91%, 100%, 100%, 92%, and 100%,respectively. However, the overall mean decreasing order of ecological risk of PTMs in the district Chitral was Pb > Ni > Cu > Co > Cr > Zn > Cd. Moreover, the PCA yielded 78% variability which indicated that mineral prospects play an important role in the contamination of sediment. Furthermore, the mineral phases of Pb and Zn suggested supersaturation, while that for Cd revealed unsaturation. The results of Igeo, ERI, and CA indicated contamination of PTMs in the study area. The ERI value of Pb, Ni, Cu, Co, Cr,and Zn was higher than 1 suggesting an ecological risk in the study area. Objectives: Sex differences in object location memory favoring females appear to be a replicable phenomenon but may also depend on the task demands. This investigation evaluated if females outperformed males at both a short (immediate) and long (half-hour) interval between the learn and test condition using a recently developed version of the Novel-Image Novel-Location (NINL) test (Piper et al. 2011, Physiology & Behavior, 103, 513 - 522). Methods: Young-adults (N = 184) completed a standardized handedness inventory and the NINL. Results: Participants assigned to the Immediate and Delayed conditions did not differ in age, sex, or handedness. The NINL total score was higher among females at the Immediate, but not Delayed, interval. However, within the Delayed condition, females excelled at correctly identifying the unchanged items with a similar pattern for the Novel-Location (NL) scale. Conclusion: These findings are consistent with the view that sexually dimorphic performance favoring females in neurocognitive function can also extend to tasks that have a spatial component.

为探索草地贪夜蛾Spodoptera frugiperda病毒的多样性,通过宏转录组和小RNA测序技术手段分析鉴定了自云南省采集的草地贪夜蛾田间自然种群携带的病毒类型。结果显示,宏转录组测序数据分析可比对得到14个病毒科,包括5个昆虫相关的病毒科,5个植物病毒科和4个细菌病毒科。昆虫相关的病毒分别属于杆状病毒科Baculoviridae、呼肠孤病毒科Reoviridae、分体RNA病毒科Partitiviridae、传染性软腐病病毒科Iflaviridae和弹状病毒科Rhabdoviridae,其中传染性软腐病病毒和分体RNA病毒为首次在草地贪夜蛾中报道。同时利用小RNA深度测序技术从草地贪夜蛾样品中检测到鳞翅目杆状病毒、分体RNA病毒和传染性软腐病病毒的序列,进一步验证了宏转录组的分析结果。表明利用高通量测序技术可初步揭示存在于草地贪夜蛾自然种群的昆虫病毒多样性。

The Langat River Basin in Malaysia is vulnerable to soil erosion risks because of its exposure to intensive land use activities and its topography,which primarily consists of steep slopes and mountainous ***,climate change frequently exposes this basin to drought,which negatively affects soil and water ***,recent studies have rarely shown how soil reacts to drought,such as soil ***,the purpose of this study is to evaluate the relationship between drought and soil erosion in the Langat River *** analyzed drought indices using Landsat 8 satellite images in November 2021,and created the normalized differential water index(NDWI)via Landsat 8 data to produce a drought *** used the revised universal soil loss equation(RUSLE)model to predict soil *** verified an association between the NDWI and soil erosion data using a correlation *** results revealed that the southern and northern regions of the study area experienced drought *** predicted an average annual soil erosion of approximately 58.11 t/(hm^(2)·a).Analysis of the association between the NDWI and soil erosion revealed a strong positive correlation,with a Pearson correlation coefficient of *** assumed that the slope length and steepness factor was the primary contributor to soil erosion in the study *** a result,these findings can help authorities plan effective measures to reduce the impacts of drought and soil erosion in the future.

To compare the safety, efficacy, and acceptability of misoprostol and manual vacuum aspiration for the treatment of incomplete abortion in a hospital setting in Kampala, Uganda. Methods: Three hundred seventeen women with clinically diagnosed incomplete first-trimester abortions were randomized to treatment with either manual vacuum aspiration or 600 μ g misoprostol orally to complete their abortions. All women received antibiotics posttreatment and were followed up 1- 2 weeks later. Results: Regardless of treatment allocation, nearly all women in this study successfully completed their abortions with either oral misoprostol or manual vacuum aspiration (96.3% versus 91.5% , relative risk 1.05, 95% confidence interval 0.98- 1.14). Complications were less frequenl in those receiving misoprostol than those having manual vacuum aspiration (0.9% versus 9.8% , relative risk 0.1, 95% confidence interval 0.01- 0.78). In the 6 hours after treatment, women using misoprostol reported heavier bleeding but lower levels of pain than those treated with manual vacuum aspiration. Rates of acceptability were similarly high among women in the 2 treatment groups, with 94.2% and 94.7% of women reporling that their treatment was satisfactory or very satisfactory in the misoprostol and manual vacuum aspiration groups, respectively. Conclusion: For treatment of first-trimester uncomplicated incomplete abortion, both manual vacuum aspiration and 600 jug oral misoprostol are safe, effective, and acceptable treatments. Based on availability of each method and the wishes of individual women, either option may be presented to women for the treatent of incomplete abortion.
