Spinal cord injury remains a major cause of disability in young adults,and beyond acute decompression and rehabilitation,there are no pharmacological treatments to limit the progression of injury and optimize recovery in this *** the thorough investigation of the complement system in triggering and propagating cerebral neuroinflammation,a similar role for complement in spinal neuroinflammation is a focus of ongoing *** this work,we survey the current literature investigating the role of complement in spinal cord injury including the sources of complement proteins,triggers of complement activation,and role of effector functions in the *** study relevant data demonstrating the different triggers of complement activation after spinal cord injury including direct binding to cellular debris,and or activation via antibody binding to damage-associated molecular *** effector functions of complement have been implicated in spinal cord injury,and we critically evaluate recent studies on the dual role of complement anaphylatoxins in spinal cord injury while emphasizing the lack of pathophysiological understanding of the role of opsonins in spinal cord *** this pathophysiological review,we systematically review the different translational approaches used in preclinical models of spinal cord injury and discuss the challenges for future translation into human *** review emphasizes the need for future studies to dissect the roles of different complement pathways in the pathology of spinal cord injury,to evaluate the phases of involvement of opsonins and anaphylatoxins,and to study the role of complement in white matter degeneration and regeneration using translational strategies to supplement genetic models.

The advancements in technology have substantially grown the size of image *** image encryption algorithms have limited capabilities to deal with the emerging challenges in big data,including compression and noise *** image encryption method that is based on chaotic maps and orthogonal matrix is proposed in this *** proposed scheme is built on the intriguing characteristics of an orthogonal *** Schmidt disperses the values of pixels in a plaintext image by generating a random orthogonal matrix using logistic chaotic *** the diffusion process,a block-wise random permutation of the data is performed using *** proposed scheme provides sufficient security and resilience to JPEG compression and channel noise through a series of experiments and security *** enables Partial Encryption(PE)for faster processing as well as complete encryption for increased *** higher values of the number of pixels change rates and unified average change intensity confirm the security of the encryption *** contrast to other schemes,the proposed approach can perform full and partial encryption depending on security requirements.

A study is presented for magnetohydrodynamics （MHD） flow and heat transfer characteristics of a viscous incompressible electrically conducting micropolar fluid in a channel with stretching walls. The micropolar model introduced by Eringen is used to describe the working fluid. The transformed self similar ordinary differential equations together with the associated boundary conditions are solved numerically by an algorithm based on quasi-linearization and multilevel discretization. The effects of some physical parameters on the flow and heat transfer are discussed and presented through tables and graphs. The present investigations may be beneficial in the flow and thermal control of polymeric processing.

Detection of abnormalities in human eye is one of the wellestablished research areas of Machine *** Learning techniques are widely used for the diagnosis of RetinalDiseases(RD).fovea is one of the significant parts of retina which would be prevented before the involvement of Perforated Blood Vessels(PBV).Retinopathy Images(RI)contains sufficient information to classify structural changes incurred upon PBV but Macular features(Mf)and fovea features(ff)are very difficult to detect because features ofMfand ff could be found with Similar Color Movements(SCM)with minor *** paper presents novel method for the diagnosis of Irregular fovea(If)to assist the doctors in diagnosis of irregular *** considering all above problems this paper proposes a three-layer decision support system to explore the hindsight knowledge of RI and to solve the classification problem of *** first layer involves data preparation,the second layer builds the decision model to extract the hidden patterns of fundus images by using Deep Belief Neural Network(DBN)and the third layer visualizes the results by using confusion *** paper contributes a data preparation algorithm for irregular fovea and a highest estimated classification accuracy measured about 96.90%.

The CNO cycle is the main source of energy in stars more massive than our *** process defines the energy production,the duration of which can be used to determine the lifetime of massive *** cycle is an important tool for determining the age of globular *** proton capture via p+^(14)N→^(15)O+γ,at energies of astrophysical interest,is an important process in the CNO *** this project,we apply a potential model to describe both non-resonant and resonant reactions in the channels where radiative capture occurs through electric E1 *** employed the R-matrix method to describe the ongoing reactions via M1 resonant transitions,when it was not possible to correctly reproduce the experimental data using the potential *** partial components of the astrophysical S-factor are calculated for all possible electric and magnetic dipole transitions in ^(15)*** linear extrapolated S-factor at zero energy(S(0))agrees well with earlier reported values for all transition types considered in this *** on the value of the total astrophysical S-factor,depending on the collision energy,we calculate the nuclear reaction rates for p+^(14)N→^(15)O+γ.The computed rates agree well with the results reported in the NACRE II Collaboration and most recent existing measurements.

In this paper,we present an image encryption scheme based on the multi-stage chaos-based image encryption *** method works on the principle of confusion and *** proposed scheme containing both confusion and diffusion modules are highly secure and effective as compared to the existing ***,an image(red,green,and blue components)is partitioned into blocks with an equal number of *** block is then processed with Tinkerbell Chaotic Map(TBCM)to get shuffled pixels and shuffled *** fractal function(Cff)change the value of pixels of each color component(layer)to obtain a random *** the obtained random sequence,three layers of plain image are ***,with each encrypted layer,Brownian Particles(BP)are XORed that added an extra layer of *** experimental tests including a number of statistical tests validated the security of the presented *** results reported in the paper show that the proposed scheme has higher security and is lightweight as compared to state-of-the-art methods proposed in the literature.

Analysis of the anomalous magnetic mineral intensities and geochemistry for placer gold deposits are presented for those of the Attock area at the confluence of the Indus and Kabul rivers in northwestern *** grids covering an area of 10 x18 m2 and 8 x10 m2 were analyzed using a G-858 Cesium Vapor *** anomalous zones obtained were plotted on contour maps,2 D and 3 D magnetic intensity *** on the magnetic anomalies,grid-1 of the study area was sampled at three different anomalous zones for geochemical *** zones contain gold concentrations,ranging from 2.11 ppm to 6.109 ppm with an average of 4.01 *** in gold concentration in the subsurface within the anomalous zones indicates that magnetometer survey followed by a geochemical analysis can potentially narrow down the gold-bearing anomalous zones.

Key nuclear inputs for the astrophysical r-process simulations are the weak interaction ***,the accuracy of these inputs directly affects the reliability of nucleosynthesis *** majority of the stellar rates,used in simulation studies are calculated by invoking the Brink-Axel(BA)*** BA hypothesis assumes that the strength functions of all parent excited states are the same as for the ground state,only shifted in ***,the BA hypothesis has to be tested against microscopically calculated state-by-state *** this project,we study the impact of the BA hypothesis on calculated stellarβ^(-)-decay and electron capture *** investigation include both unique first forbidden(U1f)and allowed transitions for 106 neutron-rich trans-iron nuclei([27,77]≤[Z,A]≤[82,208]).The calculations were performed using the deformed proton-neutron quasiparticle random-phase approximation(pn-QRPA)model with a simple plus quadrupole separable and schematic ***-point and several key r-process nuclei lie within the considered mass region of the nuclear *** computed electron capture andβ^(-)-decay rates using two different prescriptions for strength *** was based on invoking the BA hypothesis and the other was the state-by-state calculation of strength functions,under stellar density and temperature conditions([10,1]≤[ρYe(g/cm^(3)),T(GK)]≤[10^(11),30]).Our results show that the BA hypothesis invoked U1fβ^(-)rates are overestimated by 4–5 orders of magnitude as compared to microscopic *** capture rates,more than two orders of magnitude differences were noted when applying the BA *** was concluded that the BA hypothesis is not a reliable approximation,especially forβ^(-)-decay forbidden transitions.
