Iron-chromium flow batteries(ICRFBs)have emerged as an ideal large-scale energy storage device with broad application prospects in recent *** of the Cr^(3+)/Cr^(2+)redox reaction activity and inhibition of the hydrogen evolution side reaction(HER)are essential for the development of ICRFBs and require a novel catalyst ***,elucidating the underlying mechanisms for modulating catalyst behaviors remains an unresolved ***,we show a novel precisely controlled preparation of a novel thermal-treated carbon cloth electrode with a uniform deposit of low-cost indium catalyst *** density functional theory analysis reveals the In catalyst has a significant adsorption effect on the reactants and improves the redox reaction activity of Cr^(3+)/Cr^(2+).Moreover,H+is more easily absorbed on the surface of the catalyst with a high migration energy barrier,thereby inhibiting the occurrence of *** assembled ICRFBs have an average energy efficiency of 83.91%at 140 mA cm^(-2),and this method minimizes the electrodeposition process and cleans the last obstacle for industry long cycle operation *** ICRFBs exhibit exceptional long-term stability with an energy efficiency decay rate of 0.011%per cycle at 1000 cycles,the lowest ICRFBs reported so ***,this study provides a promising strategy for developing ICRFBs with low costs and long cycle life.

Under submerged conditions, compared with traditional self-excited oscillating pulsed waterjets(SOPWs), annular fluid-enhanced self-excited oscillating pulsed waterjets(AFESOPWs) exhibit a higher surge pressure through self-priming. However, their pressure frequency and cavitation characteristics remain unclear, resulting in an inability to fully utilize resonance and cavitation erosion to break coal and rock. In this study, high-frequency pressure testing, high-speed photography, and large eddy simulation(LES) are used to investigate the distribution of the pressure frequency band, evolution law of the cavitation cloud, and its regulation mechanism of a continuous waterjet, SOPW, and AFESOPW. The results indicated that the excitation of the plunger pump, shearing layer vortex, and bubble collapse corresponded to the three high-amplitude frequency bands of the waterjet pressure. AFESOPWs have an additional self-priming frequency that can produce a larger amplitude under a synergistic effect with the second high-amplitude frequency band. A better cavitation effect was produced after self-priming the annulus fluid, and the shedding frequency of the cavitation clouds of the three types of waterjets was linearly related to the cavitation number. The peak pressure of the waterjet and cavitation erosion effect can be improved by modulating the waterjet pressure oscillation frequency and cavitation shedding frequency.

Background: Hepatitis B virus (HBV) is a primary reason for liver cancer and continues to be a worldwide public health issue. The likelihood of contracting HBV is greater in healthcare workers (HCWs) compared to individuals who are not in healthcare professions. Medical students are classified as a high-risk demographic since, like HCWs, they often come into contact with bodily fluids and blood during their clinical training. By 2030, a greater proportion of people will have received HBV vaccinations, thereby halting the spread of new infections—The Somali Ministry of Health with the help of various agencies announced to eradicate hepatitis from Somalia. The priority actions are national hepatitis strategy, hepatitis survey, public awareness, training, and capacity building. Objectives: This study aims to assess the knowledge, attitude, and vaccination status of Hepatitis B infection among medical university students in Mogadishu, Somalia, 2024. Methods: Cross-sectional study design was used in this study and the survey was carried out among medical students enrolled in Universities from April 1, 2023 to June 30, 2023. The data was analyzed using SPSS version 26.0 software, Chi-square analysis and Logistic regression analysis to identify associations between demographic factors and HBV knowledge, attitudes, and vaccination status, as well as perspectives and immunization status concerning viral hepatitis. Results: The study achieved a response rate of (96%), with 230 participants. Most students (76.5%) were aged 26 - 30 years, and (60.8%) were male. Nearly half (48.7%) were in their third year of study, and the majority (36.1%) were from the Medicine and Surgery department. While 92.2% had heard of HBV, gaps in understanding were evident. About 37.8% erroneously believed HBV could spread via handshakes, and only 33.9% were aware HBV is treatable. Noncommutativity and its role in constant-roll inflation models with non-minimal coupling constrained by swampland conjectures

In this paper, using Hamiltonian formalism, we obtain solutions for constant-roll inflation according to the noncommutativity and the non-minimal coupling field of the Lagrangian. We consider three different types of couplings: power-law, exponential, and logarithmic. Subsequently, by plotting some figures, we study the effects of these coupling in constant-roll inflation with noncommutative parameters. We identify and specify the permissible regions of each case of the swampland conjecture and determine the best model. We find that the exponential, logarithmic, and power-law couplings with θ>0 ar results in both cases, some of which are compatible and some incompatible with the dS swampland ***,θ>0 is more compatible than θ<0, and the consistency value in the second boundary condition is much higher than in the first. The order of better compatibility of couplings with the swampland conjecture is ranked as follows: exponential non-minimal coupling, logarithmic non-minimal coupling, and power-law non-minimal coupling. For each type of coupling, we calculate the values of the scalar spectral index n s and the tensor-to-scalar ratio r for two different potentials and compare them with the observational data from Planck 2018. We also determine the range of the free parameters(a, b, q)model consistent with the conjecture. We find that the model satisfies the FRDSSC for all types of couplings and both potentials, with some constraints on the parameters.

This study was conducted to investigate the properties of Pr3+-Dy3+doped Zn2Y-type hexaferrite for potential technological applications.X-ray diffraction（XRD）,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy（FTIR） and field-emission scanning electron microscopy（FESEM） were used to analyze structural *** crystallite size in the synthesized samples varies between 57.54 and 68.57 *** vibrational bands at 400 and 600 cm-1,common to all hexaferrites,were confirmed through *** FESEM analysis reveals an agglomeration of magnetic grains and a decrease in the average grain size from 1.24 to1.06 μ*** M-H loops show that,with x values of 0.0,0.1,and 0.2,the saturation magnetization is determined to be 34.76,34.23,and 32.52 emu/g,*** corresponding coercivity values are21.24,30.39,and 33.99 ***-visible spectroscopy using Tauc theory reveals an increase in the optical band gap from 2.32 to 2.50 eV,indicating a tunable energy band structure by incorporating Pr3+-Dy3+*** dielectric constant increases,whereas AC conductivity decreases with increased Pr3+-Dy3+*** obtained results suggest the potential suitability of these materials for various technological applications.

In recent years, the world has faced rising global temperatures, accumulative pollution, and energy crises, stimulating scientists worldwide to strive for eco-friendly and cost-effective solutions. Biochar has materialized as a favorable tool for environmental remediation, indicating efficacy as an efficient sorbent substance for both inorganic and organic pollutants in environmental field. These unique properties exclude improved surface functionality, porous morphology, large specific surface area (SSA), cation exchange capacity (CEC), robust adsorption capabilities, environmental stability, and embedded micronutrients. Biochar exhibited potential characteristics for environmental oversight, greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction, and soil fertility improvement. This review explores the impact of fundamental factors such as retention time, pyrolysis temperature, gas flow rate, and reactor design on biochar yield and properties. Collected data revealed the various applications of biochar, ranging from waste management and construction materials to the adsorptive removal of hydrocarbon lubricants from aqueous media, contaminant immobilization, and carbon sequestration. It has played mostly a significant share in climate change mitigation and an important role in soil amendments. Biochar improves soil improvement by increasing water retention (10%–30%), carbon sequestration, soil surface functionality, and providing high surface area with chemical stability. The assessment also reports the prospects and contests associated with biochar application uses in various agriculture cropping ecosystems. Inclusive, this review highlights the multifaceted characteristics of biochar as an adjustable on top of a sustainable solution addressing greenhouse gas emission, carbon sequestration, and environmental stresses. However, further research is needed to understand its long-term impacts and optimal applications fully.

Assessing the vulnerability of wintering habitats for the red-listed Asian Houbara(Chlamydotis macqueenii) using climate models and human impact assessments

The Asian Houbara（Chlamydotis macqueenii）, a vulnerable species, is under significant threat from habitat degradation and anthropogenic pressures in Pakistan's arid landscapes. This study addresses the urgent need for conservation by identifying critical habitats, analyzing the influence of environmental and human factors on species distribution, and projecting future habitat shifts under climate change scenarios. Using the Max Ent model, which achieves a robust predictive accuracy（AUC =0.854）, we mapped current and future habitat suitability under Shared Socioeconomic Pathways（SSP126, SSP370, SSP585） for the years 2040 and 2070. Presently, the suitable habitat extends over 217,082 km2, with 52,751 km2classified as highly suitable. Key environmental drivers, identified via the Jackknife test, revealed that annual mean temperature（Bio1） and slope play a dominant role in determining habitat suitability. Projections show significant habitat degradation; however, under SSP585, highly suitable areas are expected to expand by up to 24.92% by 2070. Despite this increase, vast areas remain unsuitable, posing serious risks to population sustainability. Moreover, only 2115 km2of highly suitable habitat currently falls within protected zones, highlighting a critical conservation shortfall. These findings highlight the imperative for immediate, targeted conservation efforts to secure the species' future in Pakistan's desert ecosystems.
