Landslide term is used for all mass movements on slopes, including falling, overturns and flow debris. Using the potential landslide hazard zonation, areas with high potential of landslide hazard can be detected and so prevent the landslide occurrence with providing appropriate solutions. In this study, the landslide hazard zonation along the water transmission lines of the Amir-Almomenin (AS) water supply complex has been done. Studied area is located at the western part of the Northern Khorasan (Bojnord). Study procedure includes the general geology survey, recognition of the most important effective parameters on the landslide phenomena (such as slope, lithology, faults and streams) and has been evaluated as basic maps. Then, each layer was validated based on the importance of the effective factors using the maps weighting method in ArcGis software. Finally, the studied area was zoned based on the landslide potential using the overlapping of the various layers. Final zonation map shows that the North, Northwestern and Median parts of the studied area have the highest landslide potential. These areas are included of Marl and red Marl and to some extend loss deposits with slopes between 14 to more of 50 degrees. Seemingly, faults (due to low occurrence) and streams (due to drought) have lower effect on the landslide potential. However, the degree of the slope and type of lithology are the most important parameters on the landslide potential, respectively.

The major Quaternary faults of Marzanabad in the north Alborz can be classified based on their strikes into two sets: northwest and eastwest. In this paper, we use a model to evaluate their movement potential. Their theoretical model is based on the relationship between fault geometrical characteristics and regional tectonic stress field. The results show that Taleqan, Kandovan Chitan-Dozbon and Makaroud-Dalir fault zones are of the highest movement potential in the area. Also, the region where the fault zones have been intersected (northeastern part of study area) is prone to high seismicity;however, these fault zones don’t have high movement potentials.

The major Quaternary faults in the Tehran-Semnan region can be classified based on their strikes into three sets: northeast-southwest, northwest-southeast and east-west. In this paper, we use a model to evaluate fault movement potential (FMP). Their theoretical model is based on the relationship between fault geometrical characteristics and regional tectonic stress field. The results show that The Mosha, Emam Zadeh Davood and Pourlcan-Vardij fault zones have high FMP (0.9 or 90%) and the Parchin fault zone has very low FMP (0.0 - 0.1) in the area.

Boroujerd area has located in the border zone of Zagros mountain and Sanandaj-Sirjan belt in the southwest Iran. Six geomorphic indices were calculated in the study area. Through averaging these indices we obtain index of active tectonics (Iat). The values of the index were divided into classes to define the degree of active tectonics. Therefore, relative tectonic activity was calculated and their values were classified and analyzed in two groups. Regions were identified as low and moderate levels. In analyzing data and combining them with tectonic setting the results were often associated and justified with regional geology. Our results show that the highest value has located along faulted area, which shows 3 classes of relative tectonic activity (moderate level). Also, other values have located along folded area (low level). Therefore, middle part of study area (sub-basin No. 4) is showing the more active uplifting related to surroundings region (sub-basin No. 1, 2 and 3). In other words, sub-basin No. 4 has got the more active uplifting by quaternary movements of several faults such as Doroud fault.

Dena Fault is one of the fundamental and main structures with more than 130 km. One of the most important structural properties of this fault is changing in its trend so that at least three structural trends are detectable along this fault. Some continental transpression evidences along fault Dena are checked. These evidences are: Fold’s axis has configuration step and mutual desire. Fold’s axis average preferred orientation makes angles less than 45 degrees with preferred orientation of the boundary faults. Strike-slip faults are arranged overlapping and territory. P harmonic sections are more than harmonic sections R. In the central and southern parts the type is transpression Trust and in the northern part the type is transpression shear. In the present strike-slip component right lateral of this fault is dominant to its trust component and Fault function in the present era, is right lateral reverse.

Kangavar area is located in the Sanandaj-Sirjan belt in the west Iran. Geomorphic indices of active tectonics are useful tools to analyze the influence of active tectonics. These indices have the advantage of being calculated from Arc GIS and remote sensing packages over large area as a reconnaissance tool to identify geomorphic anomalies possibly related to active tectonics. This is particularly valuable that relatively little work on active tectonics based on this method is done, so this method is new and useful. Six geomorphic indices are calculated in the study area. Then, based on index of active tectonics values that calculated by average of six geomorphic indices, two relative tectonic activities levels are revealed. The low class of Iat is mainly in the sub-basins of 3, 4, 15, 16, 17, 19 & 22 while the rest of the study area has moderate active tectonics in the other sub-basins. Our results show that the moderate value is located on faulted area, which shows 3 class of relative tectonic activity.

Vagus nerve stimulation(VNS)and stroke:Stroke is the second leading cause of death and the third leading cause of disability worldwide(Baig et al.,2023).There have been significant paradigm shifts in the management of acute ischemic stroke through mechanical *** chronic ischemic stroke,invasive VNS paired with rehabilitation is associated with a significant increase in upper limb motor recovery and is FDA-approved(Baig et al.,2023).There are no treatments of similar efficacy in acute intracerebral hemorrhage(ICH)where several promising trials,e.g.,TICH-2,STOP-AUST,and TRAIGE did not show improvements in functional outcomes(Puy et al.,2023).
