An intraligamentary pregnancy is an extremely rare form of ectopic pregnancy, with only a few cases reported. We report a 20-year-old woman who had an ongoing pregnancy at about 22 weeks gestation, consulted for recurrent urinary retention and severe lower abdominal pain of two days duration. Pelvic ultrasonography revealed an extrauterine gestation of 19 weeks and four days on the left adnexal region. Exploratory laparotomy was performed that found left intraligamentary pregnancy (unruptured) measured 20 - 25 cm across, attached posteriorly to the bowel (sigmoid colon) and extended to the pouch of douglas impinging on the bladder base. Resection of ectopic pregnancy was successfully performed, urine retention resolved, and the patient was discharged with no postoperative complications. Early recognition of this rare form of ectopic gestation is of considerable importance because of the risk of a life-threatening haemorrhagic complication necessitating emergency surgical intervention.

Globalization,liberalization and technological advancement have transformed the economic and business environment in the world,which has led to companies increasingly engage in international ***,more project expats being sent on overseas operations than ever before so as to sustain competitive *** current study aimed to examine critical cross-cultural factors that influence expatriates’ adjustment while managing overseas project,focused on adjustment of Chinese expatriates in *** were collected using questionnaires as a main tool,which comprised of 5-point and 7-point Likert-type ***,correlations and regression analyses were employed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences as a tool of analysis to identify facets affecting cross-cultural adjustment of expatriates in *** revealed that language proficiency,living conditions and relationships with host nationals are the most important factors for expatriate general *** technical competency,pre-departure cross-cultural training and pre-knowledge about host country culture were found to be important for work *** the side of interaction adjustment,this study found that willingness to communicate and interact with host nationals are the key *** interest,previous overseas experience had no significant relation with expatriates’ adjustment in the host *** current study concluded that,success factors related to effective adjustment of expatriate in overseas project operations includes:training to close any knowledge gaps related to host country culture;acknowledgement of cultural and language differences among project team ***,mutual relationship between expatriates and host nationals;mutual understanding between team members’ cultural and personal attributes;develop empathy and tolerance toward cultural differences,as well as the degree of expatiates’ knowledge on the beliefs and values of foreign counterparts.T
