Using neural network modeling to improve the detection accuracy of land subsidence due to groundwater withdrawal

Despite the high efficiency of remote sensing methods for rapid and large-scale detection of subsidence phenomena,this technique has limitations such as a.m.spheric impact and temporal and spatial decorrelation that affect the accuracy of the *** paper proposes a.m.thod based on an artificial neural network to improve the results of monitoring land subsidence due to groundwater overexploitation by radar interferometry in the aliabad plain(Central Iran).In this regard,vertical ground deformations were monitored over 18 months using the Sentinel-1A SAR *** model the land subsidence by a.m.ltilayer perceptron(mLP)artificial neural network,four parameters,including groundwater level,alluvial thickness,elastic modulus,and transmissivity have been *** model's generalizability was assessed using data derived for 144 *** to the results,the neural network estimates the land subsidence at each ground point with an accuracy of 6.8 mm.A comparison between the predicted and actual values indicated a significant *** mLP model can be used to improve the results of subsidence detection in the study area or other areas with similar characteristics.

Although significant advances have been made in understanding the pathophysiology of psychiatric disorders(PDs),therapeutic advances have not been very *** psychotropic medications can reduce classical symptoms in patients with PDs,their long-term use has been reported to induce or exaggerate various pre-existing metabolic abnormalities including diabetes,obesity and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD).The mechanism(s)underlying these metabolic abnormalities is not clear;however,lipid/fatty acid accumulation due to enhanced de novo lipogenesis(DNL)has been shown to reduce membrane fluidity,increase oxidative stress and infla.m.tion leading to the development of the aforementioned metabolic ***,emerging evidence suggest that DNL dysregulation and fatty acid accumulation could be the major mechanisms associated with the development of obesity,diabetes and NAFLD after long-term trea.m.nt with psychotropic medications in patients with *** support of this,several adjunctive drugs comprising of anti-oxidants and antiinfla.m.tory agents,that are used in treating PDs in combination with psychotropic medications,have been shown to reduce insulin resistance and development of *** conclusion,the above evidence suggests that DNL could be a potential pathological factor associated with various metabolic abnormalities,and a new avenue for translational research and therapeutic drug designing in PDs.

Heat storage properties of phase change materials(PCms) are essential characteristics that perform a key role in thermal heat energy storage *** thermal properties of PCms can be improved by developing metal foam/PCm *** addition of metal foam in PCms has a significant effect on the thermal characteristics of *** this paper,the heat storage properties of two different metal foam/PCm composites were experimentally *** behavior of paraffin in metal foam(copper and iron-nickel)/paraffin composites concerning pure paraffin at a constant heat flux of 1000 W/m^(2) in three directions simultaneously(x,y,and z) was *** was infiltrated into copper and iron-nickel foams to develop composite materials which resulted in enhancing the thermal conductivity of the paraffin.A comparative analysis is made on the heat storage properties of paraffin in copper and iron-nickel foams/paraffin *** temperature distribution during the phase transition process is experimentally *** comparison indicates that temperature uniformity in copper foam/paraffin composite is better than in iron-nickel foam/paraffin composite and pure paraffin at the same heat *** results show that at heat flux of 1000 W/m^(2),the heat storage time for copper foam/paraffin composite is 20.63% of that of iron-nickel foam/paraffin composite.

Herein,we report the synthesis of a Dy-Gd co-doped cubic phase-stabilized Bi_(2)O_(3) solid electrolyte system via solid-state processing under a.m.spheric *** with Dy^(3+) and Gd^(3+) has been observed to significantly enhance the densification process during sintering for stabilization purposes,thereby improving the electrical properties of δ-Bi_2O_(3)-type *** synthesized ceramics were characterized using X-ray diffraction(XRD),field emission scanning electron microscopy-energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(FESEm-EDX),thermal gravimetry/differential thermal analysis(TG/DTA),and the four-point probe technique(4PPT).XRD analysis reveals that the samples Bi_(1-x-y)Gd_(x)Dy_(y)O_(1.5)(y=0.05/x=0.05,0.10,0,15,and 0.20,and x=0.05/y=0.10,0.15,and 0.20) exhibit a stable face-centered cubic δ-phase and a.m.xed-phase crystallographic *** XRD analysis of the stabilized δ-phase suggests that the prepared oxides show a face-centered cubic(FCC) structure with a space group of *** micrographs reveal that the composition Bi_(0.90)Gd_(0.05)Dy_(0.05)O_(1.5) has no significant ***,an evident increase in the pore formation is observed as the amount of Gd_(2O_(3) increases until it reaches 20%.This finding suggests that dense pellets are formed during the sintering process at 900-1000℃.The DTA analyses were performed to verify the phase stability,which agrees with the XRD *** electrochemical performance of the synthesized Dy-Gd co-doped Bi_2O_(3)solid electrolyte system was evaluated and analyzed in detail by using the electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS) technique,Based on EIS and conductivity measurements,Bi_(0.75)Gd_(0.20)Dy_(0.05)O_(1.5) exhibits the lowest activation energy of 0.519 eV and the highest conductivity value of 0.398 S/cm at 627℃compared to the other samples;this composition can be used as a solid electrolyte for intermediatetemperature solid oxide fuel cells(SOFCs).

In this paper,we investigate the existence of solutions and analyze the large-time behavior for Gurtin-maccamy population model involving conformable fractional *** a preliminary step,we construct a generic structure of the solution associated with our proposed model by utilizing some basic properties and tools of conformable fractional *** establish the existence of a unique solution of the given model with the given initial *** last,by using the upper and lower solutions for the characteristic equation,we define the upper and lower boundaries for the obtained solution and describe the large-time behavior of the total population.

Travelling wave solutions have been played a vital role in demonstrating the wave character of nonlinear problems arising in the field of ocean engineering and *** describe the propagation of the nonlinear wave phenomenon in the ocean(for example,wind waves,tsunami waves),a variety of evolution equations have been suggested and investigated in the existing *** paper studies the dynamic of travelling periodic and solitary wave behavior of a double-dispersive non-linear evolution equation,named the Sha.m.-Tasso-Olver(STO)*** evolution equations with double dispersion enable us to describe nonlinear wave propagation in the ocean,hyperplastic rods and other mediums in the field of science and *** analyze the wave solutions of this model using a combination of numerical simulations and Ansatz *** analysis shows that the travelling wave solutions involve a range of parameters that displays important and very interesting properties of the wave *** relevance of the parameters in the travelling wave solutions is also *** simulating numerically,we demonstrate how parameters in the solutions influence the phase speed as well as the travelling and solitary ***,we discuss instantaneous streamline patterns among the obtained solutions to explore the local direction of the components of the obtained solitary wave solutions at each point in the coordinate(x,t).
